I am a regular guest at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa and so far I liked the service of the hotel very much. But the prices are raising continously and the services are slowly being reduced. This time, there was no access to the wireless network from the rooms available anymore, even though the network was still existing. The reason was, that they have […] LAN connections in the rooms! With more and more only wireless devices, this decision just does not make any sense to me. At least for business travellers the internet connection is very important and can decide the choice of a hotel. Mehr

Location was excellent for theme park and shopping. Room and breakfast were fine, and staff helpful. Nothing negative to say except perhaps that taxis could be better managed - we had to wait outside the hotel on departure for about 20 minutes. I appreciate that we were leaving at "peak time" but no effort was made to arrange for us to wait in the foyer […] and be called. Mehr

we stayed for 3 days all the way till after new year day, my family and I enjoyed tremendously the whole stays, from the convenience of getting in and out from sunway lagoon theme park to the hotel all the way to checking out from the hotel itself. Daily breakfast is superb with plenty of choices, great swimming pool, mall just next door for shopping […] excursions and more plethora of dining outlets to choose from for lunch or dinner, also plenty of activities for kids ie ice skating, karaoke, movies etc. we stay on level 17 and wifi speed is not a problem at all. Hotel Parking location is a little bit tricky with no clear signage, but other that we love the hotel and will definitely come back in the future. Just make sure you ask for the room facing the theme park for added bonus of watching new years fireworks display at midnight from the comfort of your own room! Mehr

this is very good for the family with small kids. There is a shopping mall next the hotel. The mall is huge. over 800 shops and restaurants. The theme park are great place to visit.

This was the 3rd time we've stayed at Sunway. It feels like a hidden gem, with barely any other western tourists at all. Which is how we like it. 5 star resort and service for a very affordable price. We almost feel like we're ripping them off, almost. Would recommend to anyone. Has everything you need as a couple, great pool and poolside service. […] Great gym. All the shopping you need right next door, don't even have to go into KL city really. Theme park at your doorstep. All the bars and clubs around the outside of the mall as well for anything you're into. Fantastic food and restaurants that are SO cheap and amazing. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good with a wide variety of foods to choose from. Direct access to Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. Sunway Lagoon Theme Park Admission is very expensive and the Hotel should provide a special rate for who is staying at the hotel. The Theme park is over rated... it looks a bit shabby and a bit dirty […] and needs better maintenence. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay. Having stayed at Sunway 2 years ago, we enjoyed it so much that we returned , this time bringing friends with us . Staff at this hotel are especially friendly and helpful and always have a welcoming smile from teh time that you are first welcomed at the front door to the moment you leave.

We have stayed here before and once again, the resort has surpassed excellence. The rooms are very spacious and maintained well. The pool area has been recently renovated and looks great and lots of sun chairs to choose from. The restaurant was also very good at breakfast with many varieties of western food and local cuisine....the only thing is that […] at 1031am, everything has disappeared. The staff were very quick to clear breakfast items - understandably, it may be to get ready for lunch however, it would have made sense to leave things like the fruit and pastries and fruit juices for another 10-15 minutes. The staff are very attentive and always greeting with a smile. The lobby staff are always smiling and would always have the door opened..never have opened the door at Sunway Resort - the staff always beat us to it. It is a little outside the KL city centre....however the Sunway shopping centre next door is great for shopping. Mehr

The hotel is a bit bizarre to look at but has a certain charm because of it, looks perhaps as if it belongs in Vegas, but this is a high quality establishment and I will definitely select this hotel again if I am in the area in the future. Our stay at Sunway was too short, the hotel is amazing you have everything at your finger tips. The park and shopping centre are both have so much to offer, my husband and I spent one whole day at the theme park,we had such great fun and the shopping centre has everything you don't have to leave this place. The breakfast is so good you couldn't ask […] for anything else. My only disappointment only a little one is not hair dryer in the bathroom and no power point in the bathroom to plug one in there is only one for shavers so it couldn't run the hairdryer, told you it was only a little complaint. It was uneventful and relaxing. Not crowded and the place was peaceful and relaxed despite the demonstrations that occured in KL nearby. Hotel is a little aged but I think the surrounding amenities were sufficient and satisfactory.

We wanted to go to the theme park so we stayed at this hotel. We were with our 7 years old and she was happy with both the theme park and the swimming pool there. The hotel has a good complimentary car park system. Once we validated our room key, we could it to enter and exit car park until we checked out. The service was good. Nothing to complain. […] The only 'minus' was that we stayed in a connecting room and The sound proof of the connecting door was so poor that we were awakened by the alarm clock next room at 5am! I've stayed at the Sunway Lagoon Resort several times in the past with my family, but usually we stayed in their normal Premier room. This time, we decided to pay a bit extra for the Club room. Except for the lounge with free happy hour, I honestly don't think it is worth the extra money. The Lounge is full of people and with crying kids--no really […] that special. And, the breakfast buffet is best taken down with everyone else on the first floor and not the lounge since you get better variety (the breakfast buffet is excellent). So, bottom line....just stay in the Premier room and add on the breakfast. Sunway Lagoon Resort is a good and convenient place if you are going to the water park. The only thing I would add is that they need to have Wi-Fi and more electrical outlets in the room. If you are with family and have a lot of gadgets to charge, bring a small power strip--the rooms only really have 2 outlets at the desk! Mehr

Very comfortable hotel but water park could be a lot cleaner and does not compare with other international water parks. Park fees are not included in hotel rates unlike Atlantis for example. We had interconnecting rooms (1 suite and 1 standard room) with our tall 13 yr olds and this ensured plenty of room & comfort for all. Pay the extra for a suite!! Food pricey by Malaysian standards but best quality & safe. Theme park a little dated but still great fun. Great service - small tips, manners and respect ensure staff remember you & provide […] very attentive service. Always book taxis thru hotel - may cost a small amount more but very safe (& this is an issue in Malaysia). A great range of restaurants and an opportunity to try middle eastern, asian and western themed foods. Don't miss breakfast! Beautiful pool areas, marble decor, great service with English well understood. 30+ mins away from KL city centre, but inexpensive to taxi in. Very safe environment for Mum and kids - great security. Somewhat conservative given the mixed nature of guests (ie you may be uncomfortable wandering around pool area in a tiny bikini). June to August very busy with Middle Eastern guests - a great opportunity to enjoy more of this food at the buffet! November was a great time to visit as this was before school holidays in Aust, Malaysia etc. and the hotel, though busy, was nowhere near capacity. Sunway complex was ideal with ice rink (coaches available), theme parks, shopping, so much food variety etc etc. You'll love it! Mehr

Excellent service from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Friendly accommodating staff always willing to help. Chilled by the pool in the mornings and shopped most afternoons. The proximity of the Pyramid Shopping Centre and the Lagoons resort were a real bonus. The rooms were more than adequately furnished & equipped. Bring a small DVD […] player or Media player though because if you want to chill and watch TV there isn't must for western tastes. We hooked our MacBook up via HDMI cable. WiFi in hotel foyer and breakfast/dining area is free and coverage is good so we didn't need the internet connection that was available in the room at an extra cost. Mehr

As soon as you stepped your feet in Sunway Lagoon Hotel you will be treated first class service and accommodation. Just very impressive! Everything went so perfect from checking in and checking out. We loved our stay at Sunways Resort & Spa, the staff were so friendly and helpful they couldn't do enough to accomodate you. We arrived from Paris (13hr flight) around 8am in the morning with all our luggage and they were able to check us into our rooms, even though check-in is not until later in the afternoon - very much appreciated! The location […] of the hotel is awesome, has everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. We were on our way back to Australia after a 2 month holiday in UK/Europe and just wanted somewhere to chill out. This place has it all - a huge shopping centre right next door (kept the girls happy), a day spa (Mandara Spa) at very reasonable prices with fantastic service, a theme park with rides, water slides etc right outside your back door! The food was fantastic, I've never seen such a massive buffet breakfast! But what we loved the most was the exceptional service! We will definitely be coming back and staying longer next time! Mehr

This hotel combines a theme park with a multistorey shopping centre. Included in the price of the hotel are complimentary passes to the theme park. Father and son enjoyed the theme park and mum enjoyed the shops! The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever experienced. The hotel decor is very upmarket. The pool is huge and imaginatively landscaped. […] The fitness centre is one of the best I have seen in a hotel and has enough gym machines to satisfy any gym junkie. One minor problem occurred with our toilet, but maintenance was up in 5 minutes to sort it out. While the hotel was good enough it lacked in service for a five star hotel. Bathroom was only shower/ bath and was very small, inadequate towels were supplied and room cleaning didn't take place till afternoon. Breakfast was ok only just and have had better as less rated hotels, There was far to many people for the size of the seating and food when […] we were there. We had to wait to be seated every morning. While waiting all the time for tea and coffee service. The location was close to sunway lagoon pools but we all got skin rash from swimming there as pools werent clean would definately not go there or recommend going there as some other families whom swam there had the same skin rash too.
