"Perfektes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis"
Es gab wirklich nichts zu meckern. Das Hotel liegt perfekt in Nähe zu den Themenparks und zum International Drive. Taco Bell & KFC in Sichtweite. Nettes Personal. "Für den Preis und die Lage absolut Prima!!!"
Waren für eine Nacht in diesem Hotel in Orlando. Die Lage geht fast nicht besser, ausser man nimmt ein Univeral-Hotel. Kamen morgens um 8.30 Uhr an und wollten eigentlich nur das Auto stehen lassen, aufgrund der Low-Season und geringer Auslastung konnten wir sogar schon ins Zimmer und Parken vor und nach dem Ein bzw- Auschecken war garkein Problem. […] Kostenloser Shuttle morgens und abends jeweils drei Termine hat perfekt funktioniert. Das Zimmer war sauber, und alles da und drin und hat auch funktioniert. Sogar Pay-TV und Spielekonsole war vorhanden. Kühlschrank im Zimmer und Klima alles bestens. OK, etwas älteres Kaliber aber für zu dieser Zeit und Lage für 67 Dollar(4 Personen)und mit für amerikanische Verhältnisse großem Frühstück absolut top. Würde in jedem Fall wieder dort hingehen. Very nice hotel.The room was clean and we were allowed to check into our room early. excellent location to visit Universal Studios. My only complaint was the quality of the included breakfast. There was no fruit and the toaster only had one slot that worked. The eggs were really bad. My advice is skip the breakfast and you still have a good value room […] for the price. PROS- Close to all sites, Free shuttle service, Clean rooms, Grounds around hotel very clean, Free breakfast to start your day, Nice pool, Great maid service, Door keys worked fantastic (been to many hotels where you are having to go down to the front desk to get them redone), WiFi included. "Better than expected"
I worried that for the price, the hotel would be a dive. It turned out great! The rooms was clean and was perfect for our 2-night stay. The wi-fi was a plus. It would be great if they could provide some gluten-free breakfast choices -- everything was muffins/waffles, even the cereals were wheat based. This meant that my son with celiac disease could […] not eat anything from the buffet except the OJ. It would be easy to do -- offer fresh fruit and rice-based cereals such as Rice Chex. Room was very spacious but could have done with a thorough clean in 'out of sight' areas I.e., behind and under bed, sofa etc., (lots of fluff). Bathroom spacious and good shower, housekeeping good. Bed reasonably comfortable but awful pillows which I was told on check […] out were about to be replaced and not before time. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and re-stocked regularly - often needed to keep ahead of guests thinking it was acceptable to make up their packed lunches before leaving for the day! Other than Internet service, which was fair to poor, location was convenient, staff were pleasant, hotel cleanliness was good, such that we would stay there again. We were told the Internet issues were temporary however I was left with the impression that it was a familiar guest complaint. I would like to address each item that you have mentioned in your review. Our location in regards to Universal Studios is approximately ½-1 mile from the front Gate. We offer a complimentary shuttle as you know that will take you over to the park. It is run by Universal so we have no input into the times of pickup and return. Many guests on warm days use the option to walk to the park. I have not had any complaints on the walk. It usually on a normal pace walk takes about 15-20 minutes, with a water taxi ride to the main gate. Our location also gives our guests access to about 100 restaurants within a 5 mile radius. If you had asked for recommendation of nicer places to dine, my front desk staff has a lot of information, all nationalities etc. We also have little complimentary cards for items at some of the best restaurants in the area. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to show you the area and give you a good night’s sleep. We contact us if we can be of further assistance, and I do apologize for your inconveniences.

Where do i start, checking in to hotel a customer arguing with reception and i am checking out and i find myself doing the same staff looks friendly until you have a problem, like, no internet in the rooms, call the reception multiple times no answer, go down and get screamed at by receptionist because "everyone is asking the same question enough is […] enough" was the exact words of the staff member, breakfast was most disapointing, when things finish they did not get refilled just finished, when you asked why answer was "earlier there was it must have finished" really? "Nice stay but hotel needs some maintenance"
I used to stay at the Wingate 6 and 7 years ago on trips to Orlando. For a number of reasons I hadn't been back until this past trip in Jan 13. Hotels.com was running a 25% off special and I remember the hotel as being nice, reasonably quiet, and a step above some others, so I booked it. They still offered a reasonable breakfast with some fruit, juice, […] waffles, psuedo-eggs, sausage patties, muffins/toast, two choices of cereal, and coffee/tea. The indoor hot tub was functional and clean, but the fitness room equipment was mostly not working and badly needed upkeep. The room was large and clean with refrigerator and microwave, but the sink didn't have a stopper and had been recoated with the coating now peeling off. Heat/air conditioning unit was noisy, but did work. TV was a flat screen and was the bright spot in the room. "Awesome location"
It was a little noisey in the hallways until about 11pm. We didn't complain, though. The location was excellent for us. We didn't have to deal with International Drive traffic. Nice and clean rooms. Good price. One thing I didn't like, my Son was having breakfast about 15 minutes before the buffet is supposed to close, and the staff began putting things […] away 10 minutes ahead of the stated closing time.
