The Delta Vancouver Airport - Richmond

we have looked for a hotel very close to the airport giving room to a family with 2 children. The room is very good, the price is absolute reasonable. The restaurant Pier 72, located directly at the hotel is recommendable (one should book a table upfront - very friendly staff). Airport shuttle available. What do you expect more?

It was excellent as usual. We spent two nights and opted for the signature service as we had a forced layover and needed the late check out. The Signature Lounge is a nice touch with a nice appy buffet in the evening and a decent continental breakfast buffet. There is always plenty of free water, pop, juice and fruit etc. available throughout the day.as […] well as a computer terminal and newspapers. There is also computer access with a printer at the porters desk where you can print your boarding passes. I always stay here when travelling through Vancouver airport with an over night as there is 24 hour dedicated shuttle service every 20 mins and it is t he closest hotel to the airport other than the much higher priced one in the airport. There isn't either traffic or plane noise and the staff are always friendly. The restaurant, Pier 73, has a nice setting over the water and serves excellent food. Reasonable price/quality ratio. Excellent location, Pier 73 restaurant lovely on the water, pool was unexpected bonus. Room had no functioning air, had to change. Rooms look pretty tired and basic. But this was just fine for a 1 night stay en route home from Asia

This hotel is one that "works". Everything was perfect and the price was reasonable. I suspect the manager is excellent as he or she seems to run a well oiled machine. No complaints at all.

We stayed here for 1 night on our honeymoon in 1976 and were dismayed to find it looks almost as it was over 36 years ago. It has been well maintained but it needs to be modernized. decent and cheap. close to airport and free convenient shuttle every 30 minutes. We asked for a quiet room and got that. Staff was very friendly including the attached restaurant which has a lovely view of the water.

The Delta in Richmond/Vancouver area has always provided me with excellent service. The rooms are comfortable and they have a very good restaurant on site. I also like the free shuttle to and from the airport

We loved this Hotel. It is close to the airport and has a suttle to get back and forth. They have first run movies in the rooms, and great room service. The food was excellent. We had a wonderful night there before we took of in the morning. Loved this Hotel and would stay again.

From the exterior, this appeared to be a 1970s hotel, but the interior was completely redone, recently, it appeared, and they did an excellent job. The staff was very attentive, the shuttle to the airport on time, and we were very pleased with our stay. We were also very pleased by the restaurant, which was detached from the hotel and out on a short […] pier in the harbour. Convenient with the Delta shuttle to the Vancouver Airport five minutes away,, which is what we needed for our two one-night stays. Very tasty breakfast buffet too for a reasonable price. I wasn't impressed with the Pier 73 restaurant, which is next to the hotel, but is a separate entity not owned or run by the hotel. Contrary to what the front desk […] told me, there was good wi-if in both the rooms we booked, for free. There's free wifi in the lobby too. Also, with a free account code on a little slip of paper they give you at the front desk, you can use the Internet free for 15 minutes in their little business office, good for printing emails or, in my case, printing my parking lot company's coupon for when I return home and get my car. Friendly staff too. They will shuttle you for free to Richmond Center, a large shopping center about 10 minutes' drive. (Taxi ride to anywhere else In town, however.) Kudos to this place. Mehr

The staff was friendly and helpful. I had THE best waitress at breakfast. The only drawback was the space in the bathroom - the toilet was squeezed between the shower and sink area so it was very tight. Someone larger would have a hard time.

Staff was friendly, helpful, professional. Our room was clean, with a nice view tho wintry. We went to Whistler one night and they kindly stored one of our luggage that night. I especially appreciated the shuttles to the airport. I stayed there with my family and have to say it was a little loud. There was a function of some sort going on and you could hear people screaming and yelling in to the early morning hours down in the parking lot/main entrance. Granted i was only on the third floor, but it seemed the hotel did nothing to stop them. We had a late flight in early morning out. We were starving called down to room service 10 minutes before the full menu closed and they said they would have to call back. We waited 15 minutes called again they said we were too late and the kitchen was closed. I asked if they had anything for a vegetarian and was put on hold then was told what is on […] the menu is all they have no suggestions or modifications were offered. The orginal call back came 30 minutes after we called down and when I told them they waited to long to call to appology was offered. NOT what I would expect from a Delta. Mehr

We upgraded to a "club suite" upon arrival with promises access to the courtesy suite on our elevated floor with water view and included breakfast... (typical breakfasts were $20 each) so the $40 upgrade was supposed to be worth it. Hotel was clean, comfortable and convienent. The concierge Enrique really came through for us with a dinner reservation in the park at the last minute. I would definitely stay at the Delta again.

This hotel is off by itself. No stores or restaurants near enough to walk. No hot tub. They charge for parking although there is no shortage of space. The restaurant is a short walk from the hotel. I had a salad and asked for a roll. They charged me $2. Not a 3.5 star hotel. Very inconvenient.
