Das Hotel machte einen gepflegten und sauberen Eindruck. Etwas verwunderlich ist, dass sämtliche Lampen und die Klimaanlage rund um die Uhr liefen (wenn die Gäste nicht im Hotel sind, muss kein Licht in der Toilette bzw. im Zimmer brennen). Ein gewisser Schwachpunkt war die Sauberkeit der Tische beim Frühstück, hier wäre es sicher angenehmer, wenn die Tische mal mit einem feuchten Lappen abgewischt werden würden! Das Hotel bot zwei Badetücher sowie alle notwendigen Hygieneartikel (bis auf Zahnputzzeug) an. Auch waren die Zimmer mit einer Minibar und einem Safe ausgestattet. Sehr angenehm war das free - wlan. Das Hotel liegt an der Sixth Ave, wo etliche Busse in die Stadt fahren, so dass man unkompliziert vom Hotel wegkommt.

Sehr schickes Design Hotel mitten in Little India gelegen, das seinen Preis durchaus wert ist. Das junge, freundliche Personal, scheint passend zum "hippen" Anspruch des Hotels ausgesucht. WIFI sowie Minibar sind inklusive. Zusätzlich gibt es jeden Abend Cocktails z.T. auf Kosten des Hauses. Die Zimmer sind zwar recht klein, jedoch durch gute Platzverwendung optimal genutzt. Allerdings können die quasi nicht vorhandenen Abstellflächen bei Doppelbelegung (zwei Personen) nach einigen Tagen sehr nervig sein. Das Frühstück im kontinentale Stil verzichtet fast vollständig auf eine asiatische Note, eigentlich schade. Das Hotel liegt optimal zwischen den MRT Stationen Bugis und Little India, die fussläufig in 5-10 Minuten erreicht werden.

Der Service imHotel hat mich überzeugt, die Reception war sehr freundlich und kompetent besetzt. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und das Frühstücksbuffet gut. Die Orchard Road kann mit dem öffentlichen Bus in wenigen Minuten erreicht werden und der Gratis-Shuttle fährt bis in die Nähe des Marina Bay.
Lage
Mandarin Orchard Singapore befindet sich mitten in Singapur. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar: Ngee Ann Stadt und Orchard Road. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe gehören: Raffles City und Bootskai.

"Mitten im Stadtzentrum"
Das Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert um mitten in der Stadt zu wohnen. Service ist gut, Zimmer geraeumig. WiFi wird immer noch in Rechnung gestellt! Die meisten Zimmer haben ein Fenster zwischen Badezimmer und Zimmer, recht stoerend wenn man nachts auf die Toilette geht, da das ganze Zimmer erhellt wird. Sonst sehr zu empfehlen.

"A very pleasent stay"
After the initial glitch at the check in, everything turned good and we had a very nice 5 nights stay at the hotel. The breakfast was good and room service was perfect. We will definitely stay there again.

Great location, in the heart of the main shopping area. It is a large hotel and a little confusing with the different wings and lifts. The room (Orchard Wing) was on the small side, but nice decor. "Super convenient but untrained personnel"
This was my 2nd visit to mandarin orchard, the first being and pleasant however this time it was unpleasant. I chose this hotel for its location at mandarin gallery, close to Somerset and convenient. Amenities were good too. However this trip was abysmal. The staff didn't have my room prepared on time, spoke rudely to me when i enquired why.. this was […] initially not a problem as we went out to eat.. however after a long plane ride we came back after being told to come back in a hour only to be told again the room is not ready The staff in this Singapore hotel have lost their touch with customer service.. jot even admitting that they were at fault. They took advantage of our tiredness...should've paid more to stay at Marina bay sands.. on top of this 3 hours after dozing, a staff member opens our door and turns on all the lights in our room.. apologises and doesn't turn the lights back off. We didn't ask for anything!. this hotel has just too many issues.. don't bother with your time.. my overall rating is based on the lowest score Mehr

The Orchard Mandarin, is a wonderful luxury hotel, and is a good value for both the business and leisure traveller. The location is a Shoppers Paradise, with all the World Luxury shops only a few steps away. WONDERFUL A++++++

"Stay At Mandarin Orchard"
Its a hotel for holiday tourist mailny, so if you are there for business this is not the right one. staff were polite however housekeepingw was bad . Just barging into rooms after one or two knocjk with no concern that there might be someone inside the room.
we were very happy with our stay and were overwhelmed by the attention from the staff and the way they ensured are needs were met. they were smilling and pleasant and very professional. it was a real pleasure to stay there and hope to visit again some day.

I stayed with my daughter in mandarin orchard for 4days.the location of the hotel is fantastic.the malls and mrt are 5minutes walk!!the staff is extremely courteous and helpful.Room was fantastic.will recommend this to anybody looking for a hotel in Singapore.

Not a bad choice. My only complaint was the constant smoke smell in my non smoking room.
The hotel was everything you would expect from a five star hotel the staff were exeptionally friendly, exept for the indian check in staff they were quite rude, but a lady called Isabel checked us in and apologised for our treatment all of the Singaporean people were fantastic Also the english gentleman manager was a great help, I would certainly stay […] there again. "Proximity - An Advantage"
It was certainly great that the room was located on the newly furbished "Orchard Tower". The experience would be close to perfection should the hotel be able to manage the peak hour traffic at check-in, check-out and breakfast.

I've stayed at Mandarin hotels before and never been disappointed, but the Mandarin Orchard I found to be a let down. Room rate was very high. Staff in general is rude, particularly the cook staff at breakfast. Parking is expensive. First room I had was not well maintained with paint coming off the walls and ripples in the wallpaper. Upgraded to Meritus […] and had to wait for 30 minutes for bellman to come help us move as they were on break. Then he showed up without a luggage cart. Meritus room was small for the price. Everything seemed to be a challenge or an inconvenience. Won't stay here again! Mehr

- This time had to wait until 16.00 to get the room! - As always, the Concierges at check out are very, very slow. Usual waiting time to get the luggage from the room to Taxi is about 20 to 30 min. - Otherwise, the hotel is well located and the room service very good and friendly

1. the hotel phone # is wrongly stated in Hotel.com It is a local resident #. 2. The latest check out time is 12pm. Our flight is 8pm and the hotel do not have sofa or resting area at the lobby so it is very tiring.

"Nice location hassle to check in"
i arrived about 10.30 am the room that i was booked for is not ready so i was told to return at 14.00. because i have to wait the receptionist told me that i will received the complimentary upgrade to club room and the room already book for at the 16th floor. at 14.00, i returned only to be told that my room is not yet ready and so i have to accept […] my original room and the complimentary was void. although dissapointed but atleast i received the room that i have paid for. the location is superb and very convenience to downtown.
