Angenehmess Hotel im Herzen von NY. Freundliches und kompetentes Personal. Junior Suite zum annehmbaren Preis auch für 3 Personen gut geeignet. Kann dieses Hotel ohne Bedenken meinen Freunden empfehlen.

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal im Vincci Avalon, weil es uns im Sommer 2009 sehr gut gefallen hatte. Mittlerweile sind das Hotel und die Zimmer jedoch sehr abgewohnt, überall sind deutliche Gebrauchsspuren zu sehen. Am negativsten ist uns jedoch der Service aufgefallen. Die Mitarbeiter an der Lobby machen einen inkompetenten und desinteressierten […] Eindruck. Wir hatten eine Junior Suite gebucht, wurden für die erste Nacht jedoch in einen Superior Room gepackt, da keine Junior Suite frei war. Hierzu wurde uns weder eine Entschädigung angeboten, noch eine Entschuldigung o.ä. Insgesamt ist es auch absolut überteuert, für den Preis kriegt man in New York definitiv bessere Zimmer in Hotels mit mindestens der gleichen Lage. Mehr

Wir waren bereits mehrmals in diesem Hotel. Immer ohne Probleme. Sehr gute Lage, tolles Hotel. Alles bestens. Gerne zu empfehlen...

Würde ich wieder wählen, Lage sehr gut, Empfang wollten uns vor Ort Upgraden weil wir vor 15.00 Uhr da waren, nicht drauf eingelassen und Zimmer waren prima.

Vorteil des Avalons ist vor allem seine Lage. Die Zimmer sind schön, der Service nicht gerade aufdringlich.

Lage sehr gut direkt an der 32/Ecke 5th Av. Zimmer sind geräumig

Die Hotelzimmer bestechen durch ihre Grösse. Wir hatten ein riesiges Zimmer, dreigeteilt und ein ebenfalls grosses Bad. Alles war sauber und funktionierte gut. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Super herziges hotel.. Nicht zu viele leute. Nette bedienung. Saubere zimmer ruhige lage.. Wenn einem die koreaner nicht stören, kann ich dieses hotel nur empfehlen.. Da es an der korea av. Liegt, hat man das gefühl beim rausgehen in korea zu sein...hehe!!! Ich würde sofort wieder in diesem hotel buchen..

I love this hotel. Wonderful staff, attractive and spacious rooms. Only negative is if you need to use the internet for work it is too slow and unstable. Otherwise, this is a great property.

My 2 sons (8 and 10 y.o) and I stayed in a Junior Suite at the Avalon Hotel in Manhattan for 5 nights. Awesome price through Hotels.com!! The room was HUGE with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, we each had our own bed! Empire State Bldg. literally around the corner- we could see it from our window!! On 32nd Street in midtown, we could walk to plenty […] of shops and restaurants. Only a block to the subway. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful! We couldn't have asked for more! I was very satisfied with the Avalon Hotel. It was very close to the Empire State building which we used as a land mark. It was also close to MSG which we saw a Knicks game. The room was spacious and well kept everyday. Couple of suggestion to mention. One, the air-conditioning was not on during winter season. I had to open the window to cool the room. […] Needed a bigger waste basket. I would return to that hotel again and recommend it to my friends. Mehr

Great location! avalon is right at the center of Korean Town and Manhattan, there are so many great restaurants around the hotel. and it's very convenient to go to anywhere. my friend and I took cab all the time during our stay in Avalon and our transportation fee ended up to be very reasonable, it's only slightly higher than buying a week subway pass […] but way more comfortable. Room is large and cozy as well. the only flaw is that the hotel room doesn't have kettle, you must get hot water from the reception table. Mehr

Very good hotel, not luxury. Really helpfull and friendly staff.

I give this hotel a five star rating. From check in to check out and everything in-between, the staff could,t have been more pleasant and willing to help in whatever way possible. Our room was perfect. Clean and spacious. I especially liked the hardwood floors rather than carpeting. Great location.

The staff here was fantastic. Extremely friendly. The rooms are big for NYC. They are clean and offer all the things you need. If you like a lot of pillows, you'll need to request extras, because the rooms only have 2 small pilllows on the beds. I'd stay here again.

LARGE rooms for NYC, great people.

I've stayed at quite a few NYC hotels, and while this hotel might not be the coolest or hippest design or decor, it is very nice- more classic/traditional design and decor. I have stayed here twice for business and have been struck by the courtesy and helpfulness of the front desk staff. The rooms have both been very nice and comfortable w/ a good amount […] of room (junior suites for 2 people, each needing their own beds). It is in a good central location- below the park, above SOHO or meatpacking, so it works well for needing to get uptown and downtown. Did not use the restaurant, but not trouble finding food around the area, of course. Mehr

This hotel was very comfortable and clean. Our beds were very comfy and the room atmosphere was perfect. My daughter and I went to NY to shop for her wedding dress, and finish our Christmas shopping. The location was perfect and the neighborhood and restaurants were great. However there was no coffee pot in the room and the comlementary coffee was not […] available until 11:00 am. That was a little too late for my first cup of coffee. They also didn't have any washclothes which I thought was unusual. They said they ran out. So the whole week end we had no wash clothes. Other than those two things it was a very nice place and I think we would return, only this time we would bring our own washcloth and coffee! Mehr

Great location! Good price. Great Service. Comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms!!! Highly recommend it.

Near the #6 train, good delis and one of the best French Restaurants, I've eaten at in a long time called "Serge" on Madison Ave. Delighful staff, meal and dessert. Very international! The hotel was very clean, could use some updating, but that's a sign of the times and it was refreshing to not be in the cookie cutter Marriott or Hyatt for a change. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. My only negative is that there was a lot of street noise in my room (room number ended in -02). I was concerned about falling asleep, but earplugs did the trick. Would definitely stay here again, just might request a room that wasn't next to the elevator or ending in -02.

I would never stay here again. As mentioned in other reviews the front desk staff should not be allowed to speak with customers- they really seem to resent them interrupting their internet surfing. ABSOLUTELY do not eat the "restaurant" especially for breakfast. When I complained that the "bacon" looked very weird and processed, the waitress told me […] it was regular pork bacon. Then when the hostess ran over to correct her, she admitted that it was not pork but a processed turkey product. She said they dont serve any pork since it is a "Mediterranean" restaurant. I explained pork is probably the single most popular meat in the mediterranean, but she finally admitted that the restaurant is owned by Muslims and that was the real reason. Fair enough. But tell people that especially in NY where bacon is bacon. The hotel is nothing special and as I said the front desk people should choose a different line of work. Mehr

Purchased a night stay in N/Y City for our anniversary and reserved a junior suite. At check-in, they upgraded us to a full suite which was very comfortable. Jacuzzi bath was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. Would recommeed again. Price was comparable to others we considered.

I booked a junior suite with two double beds specifically because I was sharing the room with a co-worker. Upon arrival I was told that because another group didn't leave, the room was not available so I was being "upgraded" to a "deluxe" suite. The room only had 1 King bed. I was told we also had a sofa bed since we didn't want to share a bed. The […] "deluxe" suite appeared to be the exact same room as a junior suite (according to online pictures) but with a bigger bathroom and 2 tvs. No fridge, no microwave, no frills. The furniture looked like it had fallen down a staircase and when I bumped a lamp table, the rickety thing nearly fell to pieces. The sofa bed mattress was about an inch thick with metal bars under it so I called for a rollaway. So after paying for a "suite" I got to sleep on a hard rollaway bed. This place is alright if you get a great deal (which we didn't). Just don't believe the pictures and know that a "suite" is really a big room with minimal crappy furniture and no frills. Oh it did have a snack center with a $4 candy bar. Mehr

This was a great and unexpected change to the tiny rooms of NY. Situated in the village area and close to a subway, making NY easy access

The location was great. The hotel was very nice. I noticed that in hallways several lightbulbs were burned out and the Loveseat in our room was filthy looking. Other than that every thing looked very clean.

Nice hotel, comfortable room that worked well for me and my friends but lacked some amenities like coffee in the morning you could take to your room, a fitness center, a printer in the "business center" (a computer in the lobby)...

Outdated. Checked in to find the room was not what I reserved or paid for. I reserved a junior suite with 2 beds, the put me in a room with a single double bed (not even a queen) and tried to convince me to sleep in the same bed with my business partner. The front desk clerk said "it's only one night". The folks at Hotels.com were kind and found me […] a room right away at another hotel. Mehr

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Vincci Avalon. The Junior Suites were very large and comfortable. The only negative was that we made a reservation for 2 double beds and were given a queen. They stated they don't guarantee the type of bed available at check-in.

The hotel location is great and 2 minutes walk to the Empire State building. Apart from this the hotel is very dated in need of refurbishment. I checked in after a long flight and was put in a smoking room. The smell was disgusting, and the furnishings and net curtains were yellow and stained... I requested another room and they said there was none […] available. Not until i said i was going to check out, a room suddenly became available and i was changed. I also nearly got charged for missing items out of the mini bar, even though i had never opened it. I asked for my invoice to be changed, and was looked at liked i was telling lies. If you want a nice hotel in the same area, stay at the Hotel Chandler. Mehr

My wife, daughter, and myself had a great NY vacation. The location makes it easy to walk or take a cab anywhere. We did Central Park, Times Sq, Broadway, Little Italy, ChinaTown, Empire State Bldg, etc. and we either walked or took easy cab rides everywhere. The East Side Ferry is a few blocks away too. The room was big, clean, had 2 TV's and the mattresses […] were great. We didn't have a view but the room was bright anyway. The bathroom was big and the tub was big. The lobby is modern and well furnished and there is free coffee and free internet off to the side. There are 10 places to get morning coffee and bagels right outside the door. The staff was very friendly. You get a very international flavor here as most of the staff (and guests too) are from other countries. Everyone is knowledgeable about NY and how to get around and everyone there is courteous and treat you like they are happy to have you stay with them. We were there all week and it was awesome! Don't hesitate to book it. Mehr
