Wir haben zu zweit hier übernachtet. Sehr günstig für 3 Nächte über Ostern. Für ein 2-Sterne-Hotel echt TOP ... mindestens so gut, wie die meisten 3-Sterne-Hotels! Das einzige, was gestört hat, waren die unfreundlichen Reinigungskräfte - trotz "Do not disturb"-Schild sind sie einfach reingekommen, und waren sehr, sehr unfreundlich, weil wir noch nicht aus dem Zimmer waren. Die Metro ist ein paar Minuten entfernt. Wir sind anfangs mit dem Auto nach Paris reingefahren... ist aber nicht zu empfehlen - die Metro (Tagesticket lohnt sich!) fährt sehr regelmäßig und überall hin und man hat keinen Stress mit der Parkplatzsuche. Einen Supermarkt hatten wir nicht gefunden... aber der McDonalds war auch nicht weit ;-)

Das Hotel liegt ein einer Seitenstrasse des Boulevard Beaumarchais, nur wenige Gehminuten von der Metrostation der Linie 8 'Chemin Vert' entfernt. Obwohl sehr zentral gelegen ist es in der Seitenstrasse sehr ruhig und man kann sogar bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen. Die Standardzimmer sind ausreichend groß, mit TV, Minibar, Safe und kostenlosem WIFI […] ausgestattet. Das Frühstück ist mit EUR 14,50 sehr teuer und in der näheren Umgebung gibt es genügend Cafes und Restaurants wo man ein französisches Frühstück für unter EUR 5 erhält. Das Hotel liegt im Bezirk Marais. Man kann die Innenstadt (Pompidou, Louvre, etc.) zu Fuss erreichen. Es gibt reichlich Restaurants und Museen und Parks in der Nähe und wer Lust auf Nachtleben hat ist in der Kneipenscene des Marais gut aufgehoben. Mehr

Tolle Lage, ruhig und schön, Standardzimmer etwas klein, wir hatten ein Superior mit großem Bad; allerdings funktionierte das Whilpool nicht, und in der Dusche war die Decke voller Schimmelt. wenn man abends an der Bar was trinken wollte, hatte man ab 11:00 Uhr kein Glück mehr. wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen aufenthalt in diesem hotel. sehr freundlicher service und saubere zimmer. die einrichtung selber ist alt und teilweise sehr abgenutzt (z.b. der fleckige teppich im zimmer). wenn man keine allzu grossen erwartungen bzgl. der 4**** hat, ist das hotel perfekt, da gute lage im phantastischen marais-viertel, unglaublich ruhig […] dank innenhof-situation, und sehr gutem preis-leistungs-verhältnis, vor allem wenn man ein vergünstigtes angebot hat. insgesamt empfehlenswert! "Geniale ruhige Lage"
Das Hotel liegt genial in einer ruhigen Seitengasse des Boulevard Beaumarchais und man kann tatsächlich mitten in Paris mit offenem Fenster schlafen. Die Zimmer sind nicht gross, aber komfortabel eingerichtet, so dass man sich wohl fühlen kann. Das Bad wurde stets sehr sauber geputzt, allerdings wurde der Teppich im Zimmer während unserem 5-tägigen […] Aufenthalts nur einmal gesaugt. Es lagen täglich die gleichen Fusel herum. Das Frühstücksbuffet befindet sich in einem hellen Wintergarten, lässt jedoch von der Auswahl her zu wünschen übrig, vor allem für den doch nicht gerade günstigen Preis von € 14.50 pro Person. Wir mussten sogar warten, bis frisches Brot gebacken war und alle anderen Waren waren nur in kleinen Mengen vorhanden, so dass wir lieber im Café des Musees gleich um die Ecke für € 8.50 frühstückten. Alles in allem würden wir aber sofort wieder in der Villa Beaumarchais absteigen und empfehlen das Hotel schon wegen seiner überschaubaren Grösse. Mehr

"Für den Preis- sehr ok!"
Sehr freundliche Rezeption, alles sauber, die Lage angenehm für einen Touristen, ruhig- alles in allem kann ich es sehr empfehlen!
"Villa Beaumarchais - im Quartier Marais"
Das Hotel liegt wenige gehminuten von der Place des Voges, Bastille, viele trendige Boutiquen und tolle Restaurants. Das Hotel hat 4 Sterne, ist aber ein bisschen runtergekommen (fehlende Farbe auf den Wänden, schmutzige Teppiche,..). Das Zimmer und das Bad wurden immer makellos geputzt und aufgeräumt. Meine Tochter und ich konnten mit offenen Fenstern […] schlafen, da überhaupt kein Lärm von draussen zu hören war. Somit war die Erfahrung in diesem Hotel ein absoluter Highlight. Der einzige wirckliche minus Punkt ist die wahnsinnig unfreundliche Art eines Rezeptionisten (zum Glück hatte ich es bereits in anderen Reviews gelesen und wusste, dass es nicht persönlich gemeint war). Alle andere Angestellten waren immer sehr freundlich und bemüht. Ich würde dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Mehr

"Gerne wieder"
Gutes und sauberes Hotel in angenehmer Umgebung. Metro ist nur einige Meter vom Hotel entfernt. Man kann auch gut auf die U-Bahn verzichten, denn viel Sehenswertes (oder Shoppingmöglichkeiten) ist in einigen Fussminuten erreichbar. Gute Restaurants/Bars in unmittelbarer Umgebung.

"Perfect hotel for our needs"
We were so pleased with our choice, especially the location. In the heart of the Marais district, within a short walk to the beautiful Place des Vosges, there were cafes, restaurants and attractions all around us, and a selection of Metro stations to get us anywhere we didn't walk to. The hotel entrance is down a small sidestreet - Rue des Arquebusiers, […] off the large Boulevard Beaumarchais. On one end of Beaumarchais is the Place Bastille, a very interesting hub, which includes lovely old cobbled streets and an open air fresh food market, well worth a visit. The hotel itself is picturesque, clean and very much as described. The staff were all very friendly, appreciating my attempts to speak French, but didn't mind at all that we spoke English and they were quite conversant in the language. There wasn't anyone who didn't provide courteous service and greet us with a friendly smile. I can't recommend them enough. Room rates for our stay (right before Spring and cold) were very reasonable and we were satisfied with the value. If there was a downside, in the interest of full disclosure, the room was tiny and did not include a dresser or any type of drawers for clothes. The closet was small, but adequate. Because other amenities were good and the bathroom had everything we could need, including heated towel bars and good water pressure, it wasn't a huge issue. We spent so little time in the room anyway. My husband and I would definitely stay here again. Mehr
"Cute hotel in a nice area close to everything"
Hotel Beaumarchais is a nice hotel located in the Marais area with many restaurants and lovely shopping. Also, you are conveniently located to access all sites of Paris. The breakfast at the hotel was 14 Euro pp and totally not worth it. Instead, take a morning stroll towards Bastille and across the street you will find cafes with a wonderful breakfast […] for less than half that price. Here is how to get to the hotel from the airport CDG: If you arrive by plane take the RER train from CDG to Gare du Nord (costs about 10 Euro) and from there change to Metro nr 8 towards Place D-italie and get off at "Bastille". Once exiting the metro, follow signs "Rue Beaumarchais" and exit there. Walk up the street about 5-8 minutes and the hotel will be on your right hand side on a small road Rue Arquebusiers. Mehr

Clean and nicely furnished hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak excellent English if your French is a bit rusty. Close to 3 metro stations. Best is Bastille for connecting to see the city. Get Chemin Vert if you're laden with luggage. If you fancy a walk you can get to Notre Dame in 25 mins or so.

"Good hotel but terrible condition of carpets"
It was good hotel in a good location (5min walk form bastille) and a minute's walk from Chemin Vert station. The condition of the hotel was good but the carpet in the room was in terrible condition with bad stains.. The room however was cleaned and in good condition when we got back to the hotel. The staff were friendly and all of them at the front […] desk spoke english. Mehr

This Hotel was excellent value for money. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I know it has had mixwd reviews - but I can only speak as I found it, and I was not disappointed. It's location is good - just a 3-4 minute walk from the Chemin Vert metro stop. I would certainly stay here again.

Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Was a little disappointed that the advertised fireplace was not lit for the holidays. No microwave and refrigerator didn't work. With jet lag, i tend to wake up in the middle of the night and want something cold to drink. Not sure why they didn't have a microwave, but when i asked the night clerk to microwave […] something for me in their kitchen, he was very agitated. "Certainly worth the three-night discount"
The Villa Beaumarchais is a cut above similar places in the Marais, the neighborhood in which it's located, and the prices consequently are higher. The premium buys larger rooms, much more quiet, and a low-key attentiveness. It's a deceptively small hotel, with more rooms than some of the other boutique-sized places. It is also a little more out-of-the-way […] and requires a slightly longer walk from the usual suspects in terms of key Metro lines (#1 for example, whose nearest stop is St. Paul). It's a long walk to Place de la Bastille, and a cab is a must to or from Gare de Lyon. The breakfast is typical, and more than adequate, but a short walk to cafés near the Place des Vosges are a better deal, and the scenery far more interesting. The rooms are elegant without being ostentatious, and the usual amenities prevail. Wi-Fi is readily available and barely adequate technically, providing a bare-bones level of service and bandwidth—no deal-breaker. The best value is represented in the discount we got for a three-night (or better) stay. Otherwise, I am not sure of the attraction. At the full rate, there is far more competition. Mehr

it is a nice hotel with cheap price comparing to others, the location is very good,only with a few minutes walk you can reach the metro. we also found a very good japanese restaurant near the hotel which is called "le sun", and different french restaurants surrounding the hotel. "No heat in December!"
The room size was wonderful - much larger than expected. However, the heat was not operating...it was broken in that room only and there was a black mark (smoke damage) above the thermostat. On the 2nd night, we complained because it was December and about 40 degrees outside. We were told the hotel did not have a "technician" and after 2 hours passed, […] we were brought a space heater to use. The bathroom was rather awkward and poorly laid out. You had to squeeze in beside the sink to use the toilet and there was very little space to do so. Mehr
"Very good hotel"
The Hotel has a great location, in the close to Le Marais. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice. I must admit i had doupts after reading some reviews, but I would recomend it! Very good alternative to all the very expensive hotels you can find in Paris.

While the rooms could use a new coat of paint and new carpet, they were very quiet. Wifi had a very poor signal. Staff was very friendly, even printed out walking directions fromthe internet for us. The neighborhood is upscale and very quiet. Lots of high end clothings tores and galleries. a number of good restaurants on side streets.

I almost hate to give this review because I'd rather keep this hotel a secret from everyone but here goes....we loved it! My husband and I go to Paris every year and have stayed at lots of different hotels and apartments but VB is our new favorite. The rooms are large by european standards - you can actually get out of bed and not run into the wall. […] We never felt cramped even with when we had our luggage on the floor. Nice mini-bar, clean bathroom and very nice people behind the front desk. We always stay in or around the Maris and this location was perfect - walking distance to all the cute shops and good food. I have just spent eight nights at the Villa Beaumarchais in Paris. It is a charming small hotel in a quiet area of the Marais. The location is great as it is close to Place de la Bastille and all kinds of metro connections. Don't count on the free Wifi, though. The connection is very slow. I do not recommend breakfast either. It is expensive and of […] poor quality (for Paris). I quickly learned to simply cross the street and bought pastries at a boulangerie instead. "Hotel just ok"
The problem was: you can't be allergic to anything, mainly dust, carpets, rugs, curtains, etc because the hotel is full of this, even the walls and the lift have carpet cover. The staff didn't know anything about metro, bus for tourist, nothing. Everything else was ok. Far away from a 4 star hotel.

Hotel was fine, but the bathroom layout was so poor... luckily I'm not a big person otherwise the toilet was unuseable as it was about a foot from the wall. also the shower head was poorly designed over an old tub so not easy to wash your hair. otherwise it was a nice, quiet place within easy walking distance of a lot. breakfast a little expensive for […] what it was. "Good little hotel"
This was a good little hotel in the east side of Paris. While 4 stars are a bit of a stretch the hotel was clean and nice. The staff was exceptional and overall the hotel was a good quick stay.
The quietest hotel I have ever stayed in Paris. Rooms were sufficient size and roomy by Paris standards. I would definately stay here again.
"Low standard but nice"
This hotel is not a 4 star hotel, but more like a 2 - 3 star standard. The interieur is old. Tiles were cracked in the bathroom and paint is falling from the walls. Nevertheless it is clean, quiet, relatively cheap, and the location is great. The people at the reception were mostly very nice and helpful. We never had the breakfast, because it costs […] 16 euros extra, which is about the price of a great 3 course menu in the sorrounding restaurants. Mehr

The best thing is the hotel location. Quiet street in the centre of Paris. Close to all the landmarks and just a short bus journey from Gare du Nord. The hotel staff is friendly, but not all of them spoke English and we stuggled with our French. The room was cool and very clean; however the furniture was shabby and the carpets had stains. It do not […] believe this is a standard for a 4 star hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay and possibly will stay in the same hotel again. The price we paid was good. My stay at Villa Beaumarchais made me feel llke I was a Parisian. This boutique hotel is situate in a lovely neighborhood in the 3rd District which is off the beaten path but surrounded by some nice museums, restaurants & markets. It was also very convenient to the Metro so all of the sites were within a few minutes of our hotel. Make sure you visit […] the local markets to purchase your wine, bread and cheese. My only constructive critism of the hotel would be that there is no coffee maker in the hotel, and the breakfast is not worth the price. Other than that, I would highly recommend the hotel especially in light of the price. Mehr

"Very shabby room"
Positives first: the location is great and the neighbourhood very quiet. Hotel staff extremely helpful and pleasant. However, the room was in desperate need of refurbishment. For a four star hotel the state of the carpet and the broken tiles in the bathroom were a disgrace. I got the feeling that because this was a good rate, you got put in the rooms […] that were in a mess. For that reason only, I would not recommend this hotel as it was not a nice room to come back to after a hard day of sightseeing. A shame really... Mehr

HARD TO BELIEVE THIS IS A 4 STAR HOTEL - HAD FRIENDS STAYING AT A 5 STAR AND THE DIFFERENCE WAS IMMENSE - NOT JUST A ONE STAR GAP BUT A THREE STAR GAP. WE HAD CUPBOAERD DOORS THAT DID NOT CLOSE - ALL 3 OF THEM , CRACKED FLOOR TILES IN THE BATHROOM , LOOSE AND WORN TAPWARE (ROOM 305)....AN OVERPRICED AMERICAN STYLE BUFFET , BUT MOST OF THE GUESTS WERE […] AMERICAN SO I SUPPOSE THE HOTEL IS CATERING TO THEIR MARKET.HAVING SAID THAT , THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN , THE STAFF SUPER-FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL DESPITE ME WITNESSING SEVERAL EXAMPLES OF RUDE TREATMENT BY GUESTS , AND THE LOCATION EXCELLENT. I can see where people were unimpressed with the slightly outdated decor... but I have to say, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, the bed was comfy, and the staff were attentive and friendly. In addition, to be in the 3rd arr. so close to the center of Paris (25 minute walk from Notre Dame) for the price was a dream. Staff was great and SUPER helpful for us non speaking Americans!! Great location within easy walking access to tons!
"Mold in the room"
The hotel lists itself in the Marais but really its a bit far removed from the hustle and bustle of the 4th. I was okay with the small hotel room as typical of Paris, but NOT okay with the moisture that crept through the bedroom wall everytime the shower was on, and the subsequent mold stains on the rug from said moisture. When I informed the hotel […] staff that we had moisture and mold in the room (In French), they responded that they'd get to it as other work was being done at the hotel. This was the 3rd day of our 5 day visit, no one came to check the room, and we never were offered the opportunity to switch rooms. Mehr
"beaumarchais-a touch of class in paris"
had stayed in a hotel last year for almost the same price and it was like a grovel.this hotel we had starched white sheets that were changed and the receptionists were always very kind and helpful
