Leeson Inn Downtown - Dublin

Leeson Inn Downtown liegt sehr zentral, ABER der Zustand des Hotels ist sehr heruntergekommen. Die Zimmer sind sehr alt und das Bad hatte auch schon bessere Tage gesehen (Badeschlappen zum Duschen mitnehmen!!). Das Zimmer wurde zwar sauber gemacht, allerdings gabs auch schon eine Menge "alten" Dreck, den man einfach nicht mehr beseitigen kann.

The room was clean and quiet although on the ground floor. I wouldn't bother with the breakfast and go to the cafe next door instead. Overall a good hotel for an overnight in dublin.

We stayed one night here mid-week. It is close to the night clubs, but our room was quiet and very comfortable. The rate was veyr reasonable and I will go back.

Great Location. Very small room with an extra small bathroom. Clean room but lots of wear and tear on the fixtures. But for the low rate I paid, it was great value, given its location.

stayed here with my girlfriend before i went back to England. Great place, staff were cheerful and helpful. room was everything we wanted.

This is a no-frills but excellent value hotel in central Dublin. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Cost was just over half that of another hotel I often use nearby, which was booked out on this trip. In future, I'll use the Leeson Inn and save the money! There is no bar or restaurant (except for breakfast), but there are plenty of good […] cafés, bars & restaurants within a very short walk. I had been worried that it might be noisy because of its location, but in fact street noise was barely audible - I slept soundly. Mehr

I only try to stay in places that don't have elevators because the prices are disproportionately cheaper. I wish there was a list of such places. This hotel exceeded my expectations, a real find. I was there for a conference and I paid for 3 nights what others paid for 1 night in a fancier place but enjoyed no sounder sleep than I did.

This Inn is a nice old house with high ceilings on Lower Leeson Street, located a stones throw from Stephen's Green. I stayed for one night. It was basic no frills accomodation but that was exactly what I wanted. The reception staff were polite, no fuss, no drama. I had a (small) ensuite room with a double bed. I could make tea in the room and it […] was clean and warm. Breakfast is extra and you have to check out by 11am or pay a small penalty. I normally stay in hostels but I thought the price was very reasonable. Mehr

We had a room on the top floor, it was a lot smaller than expected but comfortable and tastefully decorated. The only uncomfortable thing was that the radiator in the bathroom had been left on to heat the towels- when we walked into the room it felt like a sauna despite the window being open. A good deal if you're on a budget and are just looking for […] a place to sleep; don't expect too much luxury. Mehr

Just off St. Stephens Green and therefore an excellent location. The hotel is an old townhouse with narrow corridors and rooms all close however I never heard anything in the room. The hotel is beside a nightclub but again, even on a Friday night I never heard a noise in my first floor room, even with the window open all night. The rooms are decorated […] with modern bedlinen and furnishings. The bathroom was clean and very simple. A typical 3 star hotel in Dublin. The beds weren't very comfy and the twin beds which were side by side were different heights :S All in all I would probably return to this hotel considering all factors (price, location, cleanliness...) This hotel was perfect for me because it's central and the room was modern and clean, as was the bathroom. Nice to see a place in such good condition that's excellent value. I will be back.

As per my title, as a single person looking for somewhere to lay my head after an evening out, it did the job. Reception staff pleasant, room small but ok, bathroom could do with updating, and again, fine. My two big problems were the sheer quantity of stairs I had to climb and that the nighclubs on the street were still thumping until the early hours. […] I would stay again for the same purpose, but not as part of a couple. Considering the extremely cheap rate, the hotel is all that you could ask for! Wonderful location to St. Stephen's Green and Dublin City Centre. Cannot beat it for the price. The hotel was surprisingly VERY quite during my stay. Didn't hear a peep out of anyone. Room size and bathroom size were great.

When we arrived at our hotel we were initially pleased with the location. We then asked if we can leave the luggage and the receptionist pointed the open corner in the reception, we were not pleased about that. When we first saw our room it was dark, bathroom very moldy and towels had hair on it. Also it was cold but they said the heathers are broken […] and they won't be able to repair them till Monday- what sort of answer is that- I am a guest I don't care (it was Saturday). WE asked for a room change but the hotel was full so there was not much they could do about that- as a receptionist pointed out to make us feel even worse. That was it we had to take a quick shower in cold room but the worst was in the night, I slept in 2 jumpers and then just realized that even the cheapest hostel offers warm room. After a rough night we asked to speak to supervisor or hotel manager of both of them were unavailable. We felt we should get our money back. Really really if you want to have a nice time in Dublin do NOT stay there, its awfull. Mehr

When I arrived at the Leeson Inn Downtown I was so tired from all my travelling so it was so nice to have such a lovely comfortable room to chill in. I really liked my room and it was within easy walking distance of the city centre.

Good location and clean rooms. Staff friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Reception furniture could do with updating but price is reflected in this.

I only stayed one night at the Leeson Inn. As I was sleeping I was awakened by water streaming down from the ceiling onto me. The phone did not work and the toilet did not flush properly.

We're six friends comming for a weekend to Dublin. We found 3 free rooms which we're a great value. Everything was very clean and proper. Especially the comfort beds we're exiting!

Excellent hotel but difficult to find if you're driving owing to Dublin's one way system.

Au sous-sol de l'hôtel, est située une boîte de nuit. La sortie des personnes est très bruyante (cris, klaxon des voitures, etc), notamment en fin de nuit. La chambre dont nous disposions était très petite, elle avait besoin par ailleurs d'un petit "rafrachissement".

Bra beliggenhet og billig, men ikke sjekk inn her uten ørepropper. Støy fra trafikk og feststemte folk hele natten. Rent på rommet, gode senger, men dårlig standard på badet. Dårlig rengjort, fuktskader og jordslag på veggene.

I don't really know how the rating of hotels is done, but there can be huge differences between “3 stars” and “3 stars”. Unfortunately this time it was the lower end of the scale. I wouldn't even give “2 stars” for this hotel. The room and the bathroom were not in the best condition to put it mildly, and the facilities were rather poor. In my room there […] was no chair or something to sit on, there was no proper wardrobe and in the bathroom there was no shelf; I put my stuff on the toilet tank. The window wasn’t soundproof at all (almost as if it were open all the time), and as it was looking to a bigger road I couldn’t sleep well (maybe I’m a bit spoiled by the quiet neighborhood where I live). To say also some positive about the place: there was a hairdryer and a European power outlet in the room, the wireless network wasn’t too slow and the hotel receptionists were friendly and helpful. But in general, I wouldn’t recommend the place. You can probably find much better places in Dublin for the same price. Mehr

Rimelig, god beliggenhet, rent. Små rom og litt trafikkstøy. Men absolutt godkjent.
