Omni Majestic Hotel - St. Louis

Our group booked 4 rooms for a baseball weekend in St. Louis. The hotel was great, with spacious, well furnished rooms and all advertised amenities. We felt the hotel staff was the nicest and most helpful we've ever encountered. We were very satisfied with the breakfast buffet (available at extra charge). All the staff went out of their way to ask about my stay. This included the maintenance personnel, front dest, cleaning staff etc. This goes a long way with business travelers used to impersonal service. The hotel is located relatively close to Washington Street which has a myriad of restaurants for any pallet. Parking options are virtually non existent […] except for valet but given the number of fences it is probably the safest option as well. Mehr

The location is outstanding. Walking distance to several points of interest. Staff were responsive, quick, welcoming, and friendly. Rooms were tasteful and luxurious. Bathrooms could use some updating. Street parking.

Great location and very nice overall. Very reasonable price for area and quality. Only drawback was parking - valet 25 a day, or less convenient cheaper options.

Everything was good. Wish they would offer parking, instad of valet only. Otherwise, enjoyed stay, and location. Bailey's Range, which was right around the block, was a great place to eat.

The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, we took advantage of the free transportation to a nearby restaurant. The only downside (and why they didn't receive a perfect 5-star rating from me) was that the walls were thin and I could hear doors open & close throughout the night. Another person in our party had her night disrupted by loud guests in the […] room next to hers, but the management handled it exceptionally well and she even received a personal apology from the manager on duty the next morning upon check out. The staff was outstanding. This was my second stay here. The one change I would suggest is to have room service breakfast for business travelers.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. I would like to see them add shuttle service beyond there stated 5 mile range and that it operate later than 10PM. We would likely choose this location again for a future visit.

This hotel looks fabulous when you look it up online. However, the lobby has no regular check-in desk. When we arrived, our room was not ready. We had to wait to check our bags because there was only one person working at the desk & he was trying to help other people, answer phones, etc. We were told that we were to get a call when our room was ready- […] didn't happen. Rooms are nice, but nothing special. Went down to get coffee at 6:40am and was told that it was not ready and that the restaurant didn't open until 7:00. Who doesn't have coffee ready before 7:00??? Overall, the location is great if you are going to a Cardinals, Rams, or Blues game, but I would not stay there again. Mehr

I stayed here a night while in STL on business. I loved this hotel. Staff were friendly. Restaurant/bar off lobby was terrific (excellent bar selection, and morning breakfast buffet was not only delicious, but reasonably priced). Location is within easy of arch, Busch Stadium, and downtown restaurants and bars. The apples and lemon-lime ice water in […] the lobby were a nice touch. Valet parking is a little high for STL ($25/day) and no free wifi (9.95/day). These are minor issues, not complaints. I will stay at the Omni again during my next STL trip. Mehr

The room was very nice, and the staff were very nice and helpful in every way. But beware of hidden charges. There was a charge of $9.95 per day for Internet service. We found that "refrigerator on request" means a one time charge of $20 to have a refrigerator delivered to the room. Valet parking is $25.00 per night; the alternative is park yourself […] in a lot that says "no overnight parking," or park in a meter spot where they start charging fees at 7:00 AM. Mehr

It's the extremely nice staff that give the Omni a more boutique feel than it's other large chain hotel peers. The Omni Majestic in St. Louis is no different. Would definitely visit again.

I enjoyed staying for a couple of nights at the Omni Majestic Hotel in downtown St. Louis. The location is great, my wife and I walked to fantastic restaurants for the two nights we were there. The hotel staff are super-friendly and helpful. I read the reviews here before my trip and agree with what other reviewers have written: that the lights at […] night shine through the room and that the street noise can be loud (especially when the Cards win a night game in extra innings). But this actually made it more fun and it made me feel that I am in a different city. Also, parking is on the high side ($25/night valet only) but the excellent location and fantastic staff more than makes up for it. I will definitely stay at the Omni Majestic Hotel again. Cheers. really like it. Room was really large and nice. front desk always had apples which I thought was nice, and I grabbed one for breakfast almost every day. The one odd thing... my carpets were dirty. They didn't look dirty, but when I walked around the room in my socks they were filthy. Would definitely recommend the hotel though, nice staff, close to […] convention center, etc. Mehr

The staff was excellent. The hotel could be more modern. They also could have less expensive parking. The hoel is within walking distance of Bush Stadium and the Gateway Arch. We enjoyed our stay.

We arrived at the hotel, the driveway to the door is a tight squeeze since all the "very expensive" cars are parked right at the main entrance. We checked in and went up to our room. The room that I picked was quite expensive, but when I walked in, it looked like I was at a old run down hotel. The wallpaper is peeling bad, and at one spot in the room […] its hanging. The bathroom is dirty looking and very small. If you are a larger person, you won't fit. The ice machines were broken on a few floors, so i had to go on a search for a working one. I was very disappointed in this hotel, this particular one does not stand up to the Omni name. Mehr

All employees very exceptionally friendly and worked hard to meet any and all needs that we had. Our room was great and I would have no problem recommending the Omni to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. This was the second time staying at the Omni Majestic and it won't be the last. The staff is amazing and the location can't be beat. I have recommended this hotel to many people already and will continue to do so in the future.

Historic hotel--mahogany bar and meal area, but historic has drawbacks in accommodations. Room was dimly lit, small sconces and a standing lamp in far corner; called maintenance guy who brought up a desk lamp and lamp on small table, thus allowing reading in very comfortable bed. Great value buffet breakfast. Shuttle stops at 10pm, a major inconvenience […] since the hotel is in a sketchy, deserted downtown area--also shuttle operates only within 5 mile area, thus cab to airport is $50. Registration is at small desk, in our case staffed by someone with less competence than expected. Wake-up calls were letter perfect. Shower was fairly powerless. Bathroom and room were small. Mehr

The staff at the Omni are 5 star. The hotel is right in the middle of downtown, walking distance from everything. (Including the arch) My only real complaint is that the wallpaper in the room was peeling, even though the rooms are large and comfortable and that the TV kept going out on us.

My stay was very pleasant. The staff was very personable and the rooms were cozy.

The hospitality of the hotel staff was something to behold. The hotel was very convenient, comfortable, and clean. Would highly recommend the hotel and teh city itself it to anyone, and would book there again.

Nice 4 star hotel even though the amenities are a little old (TV, tub, toilet) but otherwise nice and close enough to the Arch. Valet is $25/night, wifi is $10/day. The downtown neighborhood is practically deserted, need to go else where for food. The service was pretty good.

This is a nice hotel right downtown. The staff was attentive and the rooms were nice.

I felt that the room was rather small, especially the bathroom, and cramped for the price I paid. Also, on more than one occassion the bar tender was not "tending" the bar and either myself or my girlfriend had to wait for several minutes for him to return. Upon return, another guest mentioned that several others had left in disgust after waiting approximately […] 20 minutes for his return, his response was "oh well". FInally, either a hotel member went through my vehicle or they forgot to lock my doors after I valeted it, for my girlfriends car and house keys were stolen out of the vehicle's center console. Several attempts have been made to contact the hotel since my stay, but none of my phone calls have been returned. The hotel is in close proximity to downtown St Louis and the ball park...just a very poor experience. Mehr

Excellent staff responds cheerfully to any request. Great location. rooms small. High noise level from activity in the halls.

Omni Majestic St. Louis, MO, is a top shelf, classic hotel with an extraordinary, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is perfectly located to many of the attractions and in walking distance to Busch Stadium, the Arch, casinos and fine restaurants. 5 *****

Everything was above my expectations when checking into this hotel. Will stay again without question. One Issue: My only gripe was a lack of "privacy". My wife and I woke up to loud noises in the hallway/adjacent rooms from cleaning staff/guests. We could also hear "very clearly" a man in the room directly above us talking on his cell phone. This […] did not bother me terribly but did bring to question those people listening to my wife and I. Thankfully for us this was a business trip and not a romantic one. Mehr

Do not stay anywhere else when you go to St. Louis. This is hotel and the people who run it are true Gems. I walked in and met Andrea who made me feel like I had just come home. I got a welcome note. When does this ever happen!!!!! The third night I was there something happened to my door lock. Instead of looking and me and saying, "stuff happens"....THEY […] HAD ME WAIT IN A SUITE and Renata, my turn down maid kept me company. She was not on the clock....she was on her own time!!!! When does that ever happen?????? I didn't want to leave. I really didn't want to leave. Please don't stay anywhere else. Believe me when I say that no other hotel that I have ever stayed at compares to this hotel. I travel 26 plus weeks out of a year. I know my hotels. The beds are heavenly, the people are wonderful, the location is awesome. Thank you for making my first trip of 2010 a wonderful experience. I love you guys. Mehr

Our stay at the Omni was only for one night. Very reasonably priced. Cheap parking outside next door. We had booked a month in advance. When we arrived we were bumped from a king size bed to 2 doubles with no closet or place to hang any clothes. Really the only glitch! The hotel staff was very nice and courteous. They made the stay worthwhile.

We thought the hotel was really nice - great charm for an older building. We were surprised that the bar/restaurant was pretty much empty - we were not even sure it was open. The room was very small and needed some light maintenance, but was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel is about a 4 block walk from any restaurants and about 6-10 blocks […] from attractions. It did pour rain one morning and the we got a shuttle ride home from breakfast no problem at all. We took the metro -rail train from the airport - there is a stop 2 blocks from the hotel. This was really convenient and cheap! Mehr

Nothing special, but a clean place to stay. Not in a great area and decent distance from the landing. Friendly staff, but forgot my wake up call.
