Great stay, room was to warm, couldn't turn on air, so they let us move to a better and cooler room. Thanks for a great night sleep.

It was the off season, so some shops, etc were closed. On the plus side, no crowds, less traffic, more relaxing. The only place to get breakfast in the hotel (if you were not part of a group meeting) was the bar - would have preferred eating in the restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

you walk into the lobby and you say WOW but then you get to your room and its just OK you would see the lobby and think that the rooms are going to be as great as the lobby but they are NOT the carpets are worn and dirty and the hallways are dirty

Well, Stay away from this Hotel. This is filthy place. There were dirt from Pets at the door and all over the place. The water bottle kept in room was already open and they didn't bother to check it (2$ per bottle). The bath tub had no stopper, the bed sheets were not clean. Rooms were OK, but didn't expect great based on other reviews on Expedia. The pool was closed for remodeling which was a disappointment and the ice machine in the hall didn't work. For the price it was a very nice stay.

We arrived in our room which I referred to as the expedia room in cell block C . There was no heat at all it in our room and it was 54 degrees in there. We called the desk and the maintenance guy did show up in 10 minutes and said the heat was turned off to our room. Really its winter! He did fix it really fast. The really weird thing is that on the […] wall is a switch that said you turn on or off for heat or cool. So when the room cools down you get out of bed turn it on when the room is hot you turn it off then in the middle of the night when you are cold you get out of bed and turn it on, come on now its 2012. Make sure you leave bathroom door open cause its like camping the commode seat is plastic and there is no heat in there. A rude awakening. The pool we felt was dirty and the gym had 2 stationary bikes and some other equipment not a resort atmosphere at all. We had breakfast the next morning and was priced at $9.95 which was good but it was all cold I guess that heaters weren't in the budget. I guess back when this place was a resort it was the best but I think money needs to be put in it to bring it back to that status, people will pay more money as long as what they are getting is worth it. I've been in other resort at Christmas and they were really decorated big time, they had it decorated but it was basic the dining had nothing at all. Most people don't care though. I realize most people care only about price but give this place a try and voice you own opinion. Mehr

The lock on the door malfunctioned and we could not get out of our room. Had to wait a good 20 to 30 minutes for maintenance.

Was a over-nighter and the hotel seemed adequate. However, the dead bolt in the door wouldnt lock due a screw that was actually falling out. And we couldnt call the front desk because our room phone wasnt working.

Staff is friendly & helpful but the quality of the accommodations does not equal paying what was paid. Bed was comfortable but when turned down, found sheets were wrinkled & uninviting. Also found an ant on bed. Felt as though we didn't need any special handicap accommodations since my wife had knee replacements & is doing well, but difficult using […] toilet that was disturbingly close to the sink. Sink was cracked and paint above shower was peeling. Breakfast buffet was good but disappointed that scrapple was not available. The resort needs updating but that was not our main complaint. Though it was off season and there were at least a hundred empty rooms we were put at the end of C section by the stairwell that smelled strongly of urine. When we complained they offered another room but also next to a stairwell. With all those vacancies there was no need to be putting […] us in the worst rooms just because we got the discounted rate from hotels.com. Finally we got a decent room after complaining. Mehr

When checking in, our room was below 50 degrees. With turning the heat up to 80, it didn't warm up till 10-10:30 that night. Tv was broke as was the lamp on the nightstand. Maintenance came in and replaced both. When I spoke to him about the heat he reached his hand up & said "it's blowing out". All of that aside, the worst problem was my room charges. […] We booked the room through Expedia. Upon checking in they asked to see the card I used. Much to my horror I discovered that they also charged me for my room. It has been 3 days and its still not corrected. No one at the hotel can seem to help & I need to wait for the accounting department. It's i infuriating that no one, not even the manager can reverse the charges . Mehr

I was told the hotel has a comedy show every Friday & Saturday, however after checking in I was told it was cancelled for that weekend. Stayed one night to get away from our house with no power. Pet friendly (for an extra $25 charge). Building C entrance stairway to 2nd floor had a terrible odor (probably pet related). The hotel is showing its age. Rooms were ok. Comfortable bed but terrible pillows. Old TV. Couldn't get wi-fi to work. The plastic tub surround in the bathroom was worn […] and peeling in spots. On the plus side, if you are a shopper, it's in a great location between Tanger and Rockvale outlets. Overall, just ok for our purpose. When my wife and I arrived the room was dirty. It was clear that the floor had not been vacuumed recently so I picked up the phone to call the front desk only to find that the phone did not work so I walked down to the desk and complained. When we first checked in we were told that it was a non-smoking room but found cigarette burns on the carpet. The […] room was extremely cold so we turned off the A/C. The hotel is very clean but outdated. However, the bed was so comfortable... better then any place I've stayed. You get more then what you pay for. Highly recommend this hotel. My husband and I will be back soon .

The sink was cracked, the ice bucket smelled like vomit, the room smelled musty and the carpet was filthy. There was rust on the bathroom door s well. The indoor pool was warm but I cut my back on a rusty bolt on the pool wall that was sticking out. The wait staff was very pleasant but the service coming out of the kitchen was extremely slow. We ordered […] an omelette, short stack of pancakes, oatmeal and one egg with bacon and took nearly one half hour to be served. Pictures on internet site looked really good. Was very disapointed to find that big beautiful outdoor pool empty of water. Indoor pool overflowed first night of our stay so we were a little spooked about useing it. The closest entrance to our room was blocked our entire stay so we had some extra walking. Not a horrible hotel - but the rooms are a bit dated & worn. They were reasonably clean, but some areas like the ducts were obviously dirty. While the bathrooms were clean, the shower stalls were cracked, the toilets stained, and the carpets a bit worn / stained. This might have been a 3 star resort in the 70s. I would give it a 1 1/2 star rating now. I really feel like I cannot trust hotels.com evaluation after they rated this hotel 3 star. We had to change rooms because the first room was horrible, dirty and moldy. I will never stay here again

The main enterance of the hotel is nice. The rooms are okay. Definately need to be updated and the carpets need to be shampooed. Overall it was decent for the price spent.

This is a nice hotel. This was my 2nd stay and overall it was a good experience. it was close to the outlets and restaurants. When I checked in the girl at the desk told me to go back outside and enter through a different entrance because it would be the quickest way to my room. Please know there is NO elevator at all at the hotel. The place was nice, but there was no one to help with my luggage. The girl at the front desk assumed that I understood there are several entrances and I would have to drive to the entrance I was staying. It felt more like a MOTEL than a HOTEL in that respect.

Extremely poor shower pressure. It was difficult to wash the soap off my body. There were also pieces of the tub liner that were torn up so I wouldn't think of sitting down in the tub if I were you. Also there appeared to be leaks that were poorly patched in the bathroom and the hair blower wouldn' t turn on.. Oh I forgot the computer was down all day […] and we had to check in manuelly, which was confusing, and when the room was originally assigned it was directly facing cars in the parking lot at window level about 20 feet away from the window. Aside from the size of the room, which was quite large, this hotel was very disappointing. It is well past it's prime and in need of refurbisment. The sheets were threadbare and looked like they had not been changed. Mattresses were comfortable but the pillows were lumpy and did not smell clean. The bathroom fixtures did not look clean. Booked a two night stay with my wife with the hope of playing golf while she shopped the nearby outlets. Found out course was having outside tournaments/outings both days. Seems very unfair for hotel guests who are only there for a few days. Was not noted on their golf page. Would have stayed elsewhere for less. Room was fine; very large. TV old with […] issues. The hotel although advertised as more of a resort is squarely stuck in the 1960's in style. The rooms are big, but no mini frog or microwave. The outdoor pool is big, but was closed during our visit. The Indoor pool looked unkept and was in need of a cleaning. There was a nice indoor kid area that was padded for indoor play. There were signs of aging […] all over the hotel and it just didn't feel like it lived up to the expectation you would assume for a resort. Mehr

It was wonderful to stay at the Lancaster Host. Room service was excellent. Room was clean. The front desk were friendly and helpful. We had an early check-in. I recommend to upgrade the rooms. (flat t.v.) Better access to wifi.

For what we paid, it was well worth the money. But beware of the extras, $25 for a fridge, luckily we brought a big cooler and we just filled it with ice everyday. $26 for pet stay. $2 for bottle of water. Hotel itself needs maintenance, indoor pool not heated, too cold to swim. Game room was fun for my 5 yr old. AC was cold. Overall a good experience […] for the price. Would stay here again. Mehr
