Das Familienzimmer war sehr gut, groß genug für 4 Personen. Das Hallenbad ist zwar klein, aber für die Kinder eine tolle Abwechslung nach einem Kultur Tag. Eltern können in der Sauna und im Dampfbad entspannen. Sehr zentrale Lage, man kann alles zu Fuß machen. Spitzenmäßiges Frühstücksbuffet!! Ist auf jeden Fall den Preis wert.

Schönes, sauberes Hotel, hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet (!), freundliche Mitarbeiter - ein gelungener Aufenthalt in München. Besonders schön sind die großzügigen Suiten, so dass wir (2 Erw. und 3 Kinder) ausreichend Platz hatten und dennoch zusammen waren. Nicht ganz günstig, ich denke aber, dass ist das Münchner Niveau.

Der Aufenthalt war zufriedenstellend.Die Verkehrsanbindung ist sehr gut,leider kein kostenloser Hotelparkplatz ( 10€ ).Personal sehr nett und freundlich.

Die westlich der Altstadt gelegene Gegend um den Hauptbahnhof herum ist vollgepackt mit Hotels und Fußgängerzonen voller Geschäfte. "Top Hotel in Top Lage"
Das Mercure Muenchen City Center liegt jeweils nur 5 Gehminuten vom Hbf sowie von der Fußgängerzone entfernt. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig, das Frühstück allein eine Reise wert. Freundliches Personal sowie ein ausgewogenes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sprechen für einen Aufenthalt.
Zentrale Lage, wenn auch die Gegend um den Bahnhof herum nicht so ansprechend ist, aber man ist schnell in der Innenstadt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war toll, riesen Auswahl und sehr lecker! Außerdem am Wochenende bis 12 Uhr, da kann man auch mal länger schlafen. Es war auch angenehm ruhig im Haus und auch von draußen nur sehr wenig Geräusche zu hören. Es […] gab einen Gutschein für ein Begrüßungsgetränk an der Bar, das war sehr nett. Man konnte sich kostenlos aus der Minibar im Zimmer bedienen, leider ist sie am Folgetag immer erst sehr spät wieder aufgefüllt worden. Negativ war, dass das Fenster im Zimmer nicht richtig geschlossen hat, dass es im Zimmer trotzdem aber (Maisonette-Zimmer im 7. Stock) unglaublich warm war, obwohl die Heizung nicht an war! Im Sommer würde ich auf keinen Fall eines der oberen Stockwerke nehmen! Und im Bad waren an der Tür ein paar ölige Spritzer oder sowas. Im Großen und Ganzen aber auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen, da zentral, super Frühstücksbuffet und Zimmer ganz ok, auch die kostenlose Nutzung der Minibar ist eine nette zusätzliche Geste. Dieses Hotel ist absolut zu empfehlen. Immer schön mit Frühstück buchen, das ist nämlich unglaublich gut, hatte bisher nur einmal ein noch vielfältigeres Frühstück, das war in einem Le Meridien in Indien/ Kochi. Die Zimmer sind modern und gepflegt, alles sehr sauber. Lediglich im Bad hatten wir an der Decke einen Schaden, der diesen Aufenthalt jedoch […] auch nicht vermasselt hat. Wer kurz vorher anruft bekommt (idR) auch ein Zimmer mit Badewanne (ich habe am Tag vorher angerufen). Das Hotel hat ein Raucherstockwerk, dies bei der Buchung auch berücksichtigen. Es gibt kein Schwimmbad. Die Lage ist hervorragend, sehr nah am Hauptbahnhof und von dort kommt man sehr schnell überall hin. Mehr

Super Lage für einen Kurztrip mit dem Zug und um die Stadt zu Fuss zu erkunden! Trotz Innenstadt war das Zimmer ruhig und sehr groß (wir haben bei offenem Fenster geschlafen). Wir würden es wieder buchen!

"gerne wieder"
Nach entsprechender Vorankündigung unsererseits konnten wir um 23.45 Uhr problemlos einchecken. Die Zimmer waren sauber und gemütlich. Leider machte die Hotelbar um 01.00 Uhr Schluss und wir wurden mehrmals darauf hingewiesen, leise zu sein, was ein bisschen schade war. Ansonsten: super Lage, schöne Zimmer, gutes Frühstück!

Für einen City-Trip ist dieses Hotel perfekt. Leider hatten wir vor unserem Zimmerfenster eine Baustelle und wurden beim Check-in durch das Personal nicht darüber informiert, dass auch am Samstag gearbeitet wird. Der Baulärm am Samstagmorgen um 7.00 Uhr hätte nicht sein müssen. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder […] buchen und auch weiterempfehlen. Mehr

Idealer Ausgangspunkt für einen Stadtaufenthalt und einen Ausflug an das Oktoberfest. Alles zu Fuss gut erreichbar.

-Sehr nahe am Hauptbahnhof aber an einer eher lauten Strasse nahe bei 2 Youth Hostels - Sehr freundlicher Service und sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet
"nettes Osterweekend"
Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel (Katzensprung zum Hauptbahnhof, ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss ins Zentrum zum Stachus und Shoppingmeile). Koffer lassen sich kostenlos einstellen bei der Abreise. Sehr freundliches Personal (hatten sogar trotz Osterstress Zeit für ein Spässchen). Tolles Frühstücksbuffet mit viel Auswahl, Eier, Omelette, Waffeln werden frisch […] gebraten. Um ca. 09.30-10.30 war etwas viel Betrieb (davor wird jedoch im Lift bereits vorgewarnt :)). Frühstück wird bis spät am Morgen angeboten (optimal für Langschläfer!). Einziger Nachteil ist die Lage an der Senefelderstrasse (neben einigen Backpacker Hotels). Ohrstöpsel sind nachts sehr empfehlenswert für einen ungetrübten Schlaf. Grosses geräumiges Zimmer, schönes modernes Bad. Kuschelige Decken, eher weiche aber doch angenehme Matratzen. Das war unser 3.Mal in diesem Hotel. Ist immer wieder eine Reise wert. Mehr

We've used this hotel twice and will be happy to come back. Nice, big rooms, great service and a free wifi that works well. Only drawback is that the video on demand service (that we used last year) was gone this year ...

"Mercure Hotel in Munchen - excellent location"
Travelling from South Africa with 2 young children, the Mercure could not have been more conveniently located. We walked out of the Hauptbahnhof, down the street and into the hotel under 5 minutes! The staff throughout were very friendly, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and bathroom and the finer touch of a chocolate on your pillow […] and "on the house" welcoming drinks certainly made us feel special. The breakfasts were excellent and the easy access to the sights was most convenient. All in all - I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would without hesitation stay there again should the opportunity arise. well done Mercure! Mehr

A most pleasant and comfortable hotel. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The front desk staff went out of the way to make sure I knew exactly how to get to the airport via the S Bahn. Very convenient location close to the main train station. Recently stayed at the Mercure Munich City Centre Hotel. This hotels has a very convenient location close to the railway station, which makes travelling to and from airport very easy. Neighbourhood bit 'sleazy', but would not stop me from staying there again. Privilige room well located, overlooking quiet courtyard, and well worth the extra. Overall […] a very pleasant stay. "Very Convenient for the Main station"
I liked this hotel. We stayed three nights to visit the Christmas markets in the area. The rooms were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep every night. Breakfast was good - although at peak times they struggled to get enough places. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated on Sunday. Best advantage of the hotel was that it was only five minutes […] walk to the train station., We bought Bayern Tickets which gives you unlimited travel in the region for up to 5 people, and for only 29 Euros. So, over the weekend we managed to visit markets at Munich, and Nuermburg and Salzburg. Overall, very pleased with the hotel,and would happily return Mehr

Pros: Very clean hotel, much better looking than all other hotels in the same street. Very convenient as it's right next to the train station/ trams. Breakfast buffet was good with a decent variety. Staff were very nice and friendly Cons: Main reason i'm giving it a rating of 2 is because i had the worst sleep ever. i had a faulty window which does […] not close properly (room 709), and football fans or random people shouting at 1am in morning will definitely keep you awake. i could have got a change of room, but at that time of night. the effort involved was not worth it. The room was very nice, large for a European hotel. The location was excellent, as it was near the Munich train station and we were to take the train to the airport early in the morning.

a very comfortable hotel. Unpreposessing from the outside, but excellent for access to the main train station and ready access to Oktoberfest ( which we were there for) Most other sights in Munich within easy walking distance too. Terrrific breakfast.

Hotel Mercure was a nice enough hotel. The rooms were clean, the shower was nice, and beds comfortable, but it had terrible service. The extra bed that they dropped of was very uncomfortable and they did not help you set it up. At first they only dropped off a blanket and pillow and expected you to sleep on the couch. They made several mistakes in our […] reservation, giving us a room for one person when we had clearly said three people. The decor was tacky. "Mercure Munchen....what a class hotel!"
Check in was a breeze and the staff was very helpful our entire stay. Parking was a couple of doors down and at a reasonable price. The breakfast was the best we had in Europe! And, a mimi bar with a salty snack, water, Sprite and a beer compliments of the hotel and refilled daily. A bowl of fruit was brought to our room the first day along with a large […] bottle of water. First Class! And we got a really good rate. The only downfall was the neighborhood. Not dangerous, but a little seedy. However, I would stay there again. We were walking distance to the main square where all the "action" was. Walk a couple of blocks and you were in a really nice area. We loved this hotel and would not only stay here again but will seek out Mercure Hotels in the future. OH, and there were 2 computers free to guest and in the morning they put out pasteries and coffee in the area. We were very happy we chose this property. Mehr

Very convenient to the train station with only a five minute walk, handy to the downtown core and the most amazing breakfast buffet we have seen on our extensive European trip! Rooms very good size, neighborhood filled with hostels so can be a little noisy but the windows seem to be double glazed so that when shut it eliminates just about all noise. […] One restaurant trip and about a twenty five minute walk from the hotel in the non touristy area is Ennslater Stubn a small German/Austrian restaurant that was the highlight of our Munich stay. I had read some reviews re. the surrounding area and neighbourhood being less than desirable and unsafe. Please don't take any notice of these, we had no issues at all. Whilst some people were lingering around, they kept themselves to themselves. At the end of the day, you can always get a taxi from the hotel anyway so it's not really a problem. Whilst […] we were a group of 14 guys, and I wouldn't advise a Woman on her own walking about in the early hours (in Munich or any other major urban conurbation anywhere in the world for that matter), it was fine. The Hotel was outstanding, the staff extremely helpful and made an effort to speak English (or understand my broken post A-Level pigeon German). The receptionists were especially helpful (and rather stunning lads may I add!! :)). It is a short walk into Marienplatz which is where you need to be and a 5 min walk across the road from the Hauptbahnhof (Main Station). Excellent weekend all round- Munich is a stunning city and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves- don't be put off by the moaners who complain about the neighbourhood- the hotel was superb full stop (or punkt as the Germans say!). Excellent hotel. Our room was of a high quality, very comfortable beds!! The bathroom was very nice, and even had a heated mirror so it never steamed when you had a shower. The room and bathroom seemed to get very warm though, we assumed it was due to the spotlights. Had to open windows a lot. Large selection of TV channels. Free mini bar was a bonus […] too!!! Easy to use free in room safe was very handy. The hotel is in a great location, only a ten minute stroll into the city centre. It's dead easy. Plenty of places to eat and pick up supplies near the hotel, and like I said the walk into the city centre takes minutes. You can get the S-Bahn from the airport to the Hauptbahnhoff (main train station - right by the hotel!) for 10 euros each single. This made getting to and from the airport really easy as you can get on right by the hotel. Check in and out was fast and simple. My only complaint about the hotel is the breakfast. Although very satisfying, you are made to believe it is included in your room rate. However, when we checked out we were slapped with a huge breakfast bill - a whopping 19 euros per person per breakfast!!! Ridiculous. That really is the only bad thing about the hotel. The staff are fantastic, the rooms and service fantastic, and the location fantastic! I would most definately stay at this hotel again and would indeed recommend it. Mehr
