This is the second Travelodge that I have stayed in while traveling in Canada. It is very typical of a budget hotel chain and not always in a bad way. The hotel was well located with plenty of food, gas and shopping options and right off the highway. The service was good and the room, while not up to Hilton or Hyatt standards, was clean, comfortable […] and a great value for the money. Breakfast was included, only one serving per guest. If you're looking for a reasonable place to spend the night and don't need all the bells and whistles, Travelodge is a good bet. Mehr
"Perfect for what we needed."
Our stay was fine. The breakfast was very good! We just needed a place close to the highway to crash for the night with our kids. It was quiet and very reasonably priced.

I thought I was booking the Hotel next door to this Hotel because thats where my husband always use to go. Well it had been 5 yrs since we took a break (prior to that we came every year for 7 yrs). I was very concerned when I realized I booked the wrong place because I was surprising my husband for the week-end. Come to find out , we enjoy this one […] even better. It was clean, very friendly service and the room was so awesome. The Kingsize Bed was so comfortable! I have recommended it to friends already and we just got home. "handy location, friendly staff"
Good value and convenient location close to 401. It would be nice if the rooms were given a good scrub down though. The walls & carpets do not seem to get cleaned very well.

This hotel has a surprising good breakfast buffet to be enjoyed in a spacious dining room well lit by natural light. The room was well kept and comfortable and contained desirable amenities such as a fridge at no charge.

"Travel Lodge is great"
We were treated very well when we checked in. Our room was very clean and had every thing we could want in it such as fridge with a freezer compartment, iron and ironing board, coffee machine with coffee and creamers and complimentary shampoo. We had a very good hot buffet breakfast in a dining area for free the next morning. We will definitely go back […] when in London again. Mehr

Average hotel. The room was a great size for the price, included microwave and fridge, very handy. We moved the sofa bed to make room for our Pack and Play, and found lots of crumbs and garbage underneath. Bathroom and bed seemed fine. Room seemed overly warm. Breakfast was decent, but the staff serving it were less than polite. Biggest disappointment […] was its location -- right outside the hotel was an "adult massage" establishment. Kind of offensive and certainly not very family friendly. Had we known, we would have chosen another location regardless of cost difference. This hotel for the most part is inexpensive if booked in advance and is decent. The rooms require some TLC and minor repair. What really was annoying was the fact that I could get free internet connection in my room but when I asked if I could print a boarding pass I was told I would have to 'purchase' some internet time. Very nice hotel at a very affordable price, largest room I've ever had (2 room suite) comfortable bed, jacussi tub. Just off the highway downtown with the best complimentary breakfast I've ever seen. Only negative was no pool.

"Travel Lodge Was A Good Value"
Was a bit leary about staying here. The room was very clean. The furnature is a bit beat up, and the desk chair does not fit! Had a king suite, and it was more than enough room. Bed was firm and confortable. Nice beer fridge and microwave oven. Bathroom was clean, and whirl-pool tub was a plus. Staff was very nice. Price slightly high for one night passing through'. Breakfast very good, in a bright comfortable room. Staff very friendly, Wi-fi quick and stable; overall the usual proper TraveLodge experience
No compaints. The breakfast was nice. The server was very pleasant. We had a ground floor room next to an outside door. Handy for those who smoke. Easy access to everything. There was no noice issues at night. Convenient to the 401.

"Good Value"
The carpet had not been vacuumed. I stepped on what looked like pet food pellets. Obviously a previous occupant had a pet with them. Also, there was some old pizza left in the fridge. It is still a good value and I'll continue staying there when in London.

Don't stay here unless you can put up with stained baths (clean but look dirty), cracks in the sinks around the plug holes, run-down furniture. Minimal 'soap' etc extras. The breakfast room is clean and airy. Thuis hotel requires a good makeover to bring it up to current standards expected .... even the manager agrees.

"Needed a good night's rest"
We worked on the renovation of the JW Assembly Hall on 2nd Street. Needed a good night's rest and convenient location to stay. Found both at the Travelodge South. Quiet, clean and tidy. Very happy to stay there. Would recommend it to everyone who needs that kind of lodging and treatment.

THe room was huge and very nice - whirlpool en suite. ALl the usuals in place but the room had a sitting room and the bedroom so one could stay up and watch TV there while the other slept or if we had wanted we could both watch TV from bed as there was another set there a well. Comp. breakfast was fine and was a full breakfast. THE staff at breakfast […] were a little 'to the point' but then they had to keep the line moving and they certainly closed it on the dot of 930 - so they either had left overs to eat or threw out / wasted a lot of food. "Not recommedable"
The hotel was located next door to an "adult only" store. The floor of the room was quite dirty and the staff rude. You were not allowed to help yourself to the breakfast buffe, and you could not have more than 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, etc. The pancakes were not made the same day and were quite hard.

"Travelodge London South"
We were not pleased. We wanted and were told that we had a smokers room. We even took a lower rated room to get this. When we got to the hotel, we found out there were no smokers rooms. The hotel had gone completely smokeless. We should have been told this from the start and we would have chosen a different hotel or even a motel.

We had one problem with the A/C upon arrival. It went away in short order and we had no other problems during this stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and with the hot breakfast provided we got good value for our money.

Positives – some very, very nice staff (just 1 grouch), a complimentary hot breakfast. Ignoring the walls, and MOST IMPORTANT the carpets, bedding, bathroom, fridge & microwave were all very clean . Negatives - We arrived very late in the evening during the peak of the July 2011 heat wave and the A/C was turned on at the main desk when we arrived (late) […] but it took a very, very long time to cool the room. It eventually got there (overnight) and kept it cool for our 4 day stay . There were splatters & splotches on the walls, cob webs in the corner by the bed, and a squashed spider (gross) on the wall adjacent to the bed. I spotted one ant crawling on the desk and killed it. My wife and I both like lots of pillows and took the 2 extras stored in a drawer (giving us 5 in total) and used them the 1st night. Housekeeping removed 1 of them after our 1st night, leaving us with 4. I don’t know why. We obviously were using them all and would have appreciated more not have one taken away. "London revisited"
Came to London at the end of a long day of driving from Northwest Michigan (enroute to our home near Boston) The accomodations were most welcome. Good shower, but I believe Hotels should install grab bars in showers. There was a rubber mat, however. We enjoyed the breakfast. I had coffee and waffles. A good experience in all.

This hotel is clean and comfortable, though the A/C seemed timed to stop working in the early hours of the morning. But that may have been a fluke. More significanly, the hotel was well worth the cost. The breakfast was hot and fresh, the staff was helpful, and despite its location near a major highway, it was quiet. I've visited London 4 or 5 times […] and stayed at Travelodge South almost every time. The only exception--a nice downtown hotel--was a disappoinment. London is not a tourist town which means you usually have to go elsewhere to see "sights." (Even our server at a local restaurant wondered why anyone would take a holiday in London.) But Stratforn, Port Stanley, and other more photogenic towns are nearby. On the plus side, London's prices are reasonable and traffic is not bad. I've visited 5 or 6 times in the past 20 years and always enjoyed it. Mehr
