Das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Das "Continental Breakfast" wurde stets nachgefüllt, für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Der Zustand des Hotels ist eher als benutzt einzustufen und sollte durch eine Renovierung schnell wieder auf Vordermann gebracht werden. Wie kommt dieses Hotel zu einer Kundenbewertung von 4,5? Mein Mann und ich haben noch nie in so einem heruntergekommenen, abgewohnten Hotel wie dieses gewohnt. Das Zimmer war auf dem ersten Blick sauber allerdings waren überall merkwürdige Flecken, insbesondere im Bad (undefinierbar bräunlich-rot). Ich habe jegliche Schalter, Türklinken, Toilette usw. […] desinfiziert. Die Balkontür war nicht zu schließen, die Farbe im Bad (wo sich Dusche und WC befanden) platzte ab, der Müll lag tagelang im Flur, alles ist verrostet (Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage), auf dem Parkplatz stapelten sich Müll und alte Matratzen aber das allerschlimmste war, dass der Feueralarm und Feuerwehrschlauch nicht mehr vorhanden waren. Das Hotel ist die letzte Absteige. Vielleicht hat man nach dem letzte Springbrake vergessen aufzuräumen, denn so sah es aus, allerdings war der schon 2 Monate her. „Location“ ist nicht alles!! Mehr

Die Lage ist sehr schön ,nur eine kaum befahrene Strasse trennt das Hotel vom gepflegten,weisen Sandstrand.Das Hotel selbst ist etwas "in die Jahre gekommen" und eine Rundumsanierung wäre dringend nötig! Älteres Travelodge Hotel mit direkter Strandlage ( nur über die Strand-Straße gehen ). Wir haben uns in der Travelodge sehr wohl gefühlt. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und Balkon. Dieses war sehr geräumig und sauber. Einige Gebrauchsspuren am Mobiliar waren zwar erkennbar, jedoch nicht störend. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants waren innerhalb von maximal 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein gutes Restaurant ist sogar nur wenige Meter […] entfernt. Besonders beeindruckend war die Nähe zum Strand. Pool war vorhanden. Frühstück mit Basics, jedoch sauber und apettitlich angeboten. Das Hotel können wir insbesondere im Hinblick auf das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, den kostenlosen Parkplatz und die Strandnähe jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Mehr

Für 2-3 Nächte ok.Unser Zimmer war gross mit kleiner Küche,leider war die Küche sehr schmutzig,hätte nicht mal Wasser gekocht.Ansonsten war es sauber.Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen.

The hotel, for the price, what pretty much what could be expected. It is starting to show it's age, and use, but it did it's job, of a having a clean, safe place to sleep. If you have a room facing the water, it's an awesome view as it is directly across from the beach.

OK. I didnt book this hotel expecting the Sand Pearl. I mean, it is a motel and has been rated consitantly as a 2 star, right? The front desk people were very freindly, breakfast was just enough, steps to the beach, the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. Again, not your 5 diamond resort, just a simple freindly beach side clean motel.

The room was clean and staff was friendly, but the building is in need of renovations, such as elevator and main areas. The beds weren't very comfortable. Great location (across the street from Clearwater Beach). I stayed here a few years ago and you can see the decline in the condition of the building.

This place is close to the beach and within walking distance to the pier and its activities. One might find, however, that it is a bit overpriced due to outdated rooms and amenities. The staff was unorganized and also gave me a key to a room that was dirty. Sand was all over the floor, the bed wasn't made, and dirty towels on the floor. The rooms are very outdated. When I tried to increase the volume on the television the channels changed instead. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows must have been made from bricks. My back […] hurt after the 2nd night of sleeping there. Also the water in the shower smells horrible...I felt like I needed another shower after taking one. Be careful in the antiquated elevator as the middle of the floor is sinking in and will probably collapse soon. What a joke, I wouldn't stay there again even if I was homeless. Mehr

when we got there the first room we wanted was a view of the golf, but we had a partial view of the gulf. which we paid for a view of the gulf. then our door to our room would not lock so they moved us to another room with a view of the gulf. which we were suppose to have in the first place. Don't get me wrong the view was absolutey gorgeous but we […] were looking at sand dones and palm trees some of the gulf when it was light out. we liked how spacious it was and how clean it was. We have stayed at this same motel in the past on previous visits and was glad to see that they have made some maintenance and eye ball improvements. The staff was polite and helpful and the location is great to the beach, restaurants and transportation We would be happy to stay again.

Great Location right across from Clearwater beach. Very good price for a beach hotel. The hotel itself is older, but clean. Housekeeping was there everyday. Had kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, plates, utensils and glassware. Overall great place to get if you want a simple beach vacation, without the high price. The beach is literally across the street. That is the only redeeming quality. There is no airport shuttle, and the guy they recommended to us was such a jerk that we ended up hailing our own cab. There were spiders in our bathtub. The refrigerator smelled like something died in it. There was mold in the room. The "free breakfast" was nothing more than […] mini muffins and coffee. We ordered extra towels and we had to get them because the guy upfront was "super busy." No one was in the lobby when we picked up the towels. The front desk guy at night was creepy. He made smug comments about "what was written in my file." Also, he tried to charge me for the room, and when I pointed out I alreadt paid on Expedia, he didn't believe me, which then turned into a sharp discussion and him apologizing for "not looking at the receipt." The only redeeming quality this hotel has is that it is literally across the street from shops and the beach so you don't have to spend time here. Mehr

location was great lots to do all night! good thing cause room was a bit of a dissapointing, wall paper peeling off the walls chunks of the plaster in the ceiling cracking off, everthing that was mounted to the walls, such as lights, towel bars, etc. where half pulled out and hanging. wow!

It was excellant...what more can we say. My husband and I stayed with our 3 teenage children. We would highly recommend this hotel. Price was right. Very clean. Kathy at the front desk was very kind, friendly and nice. We cant wait to go back next year. Cannot say enough good about this one.

Relatively inexpensive for season and location. Used as a place to stay while participating in a sailing regatta and no complaints. Worth what I paid for it.

We stayed here in Clearwater for just one night on our way to Orlando. Clearwater itself had a beautiful beach but the area itself is no where near as nice as Naples or West Palm Beach....a bit blackpool-esque. We were quite disappointed by Clearwater in fact. Convenience wise it is right on the beach. The hotel looks like one of those motels you […] may get murdered in, however that might be more my overactive imagination being influenced by Hollywood. All the surrounding motels look the same. The decor is old and its all a bit faded. I used the loo and it blocked which was rather embarrassing as the reception guy came up right away to try to unblock it...no success so he apologized and moved us to a suite next door. I could tell it was a frequent occurance I suppose for the price this is what you get, not horrendous, just not what I was expecting. The staff were perfectly pleasant. Mehr

This hotel was in a great location. We were right across the street from the beach and close to several restaurants. We were in walking distance to the pier which had alot of activity going on. We definitely would go back and stay there. They provided cereal, toast, coffee and juice in the morning.

While this hotel is quite outdated, it did not affect the comfort of our stay. Clean, soft bedding. Large room with kitchenette and dining area. Located right across from the beach! Super friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to restaurants, putt putt golf and Walgreens. Would stay again...

Better than we expected! Rooms are huge with mini kitchens, but bring your own dish soap and be careful leaving food out due to a sugar ant problem. Overall it was a great experience in an awesome location.

Great location in the middle of Clearwater Beach. Not the most modern of rooms, but fridge and ac were cold. Pool was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of bars, club, restaurants, and shops. And right across from the beach.

Perfect location, right across the street from the beach made it very convenient. Easy to find and rooms were large which made it easy for all the kids & we were able to get 3 families in one room to eat dinner together without being crowded. Booked a gulf view room so very pretty views of the sunset and beach. Downside is it feels old and not tip top […] maintenance. The price listed for the view didn't match the rest of the experience & was way too high. Overall though, we came for the beach not the hotel and for that this place can't be beat. Mehr

The hotel was right across the street from the beach. I thought being priced low and so close to the gulf that it would be full of kids but it turned out clean, quiet and very nice. The owned even loaned us a couple of beach chairs because we flew in from Phoenix for the weekend and could'nt take them back.

The only good thing of this hotel is right on the beach and walking distance to the center of ClearWater Beach, the room over-all need to be updated, the A/C and the fridge very noice at night.

The location of this hotel was great, but the rooms were dumps!...Broken locks, doors,not well kept. The view was beautiful but overpriced rooms!
