O'Keefe Plaza Hotel - New Orleans

Sauberes, ordentliches Hotel in super Lage. Nur ein paar Minuten vom French Quarter entfernt. Frühstück ab halb 7, wir durften schon früher rein, weil wir früh zum Bahnhof mussten. Immer wieder gern!

Nice location just outside of FQ. Could walk anywhere day or night.Staff very friendly. Hotel room was small(sink outside of bathroom) but shower worked well. Needs exhaust fan for bathroom. Continental breakfast was ok. Local calls free. Same for internet use. Had pool(didn't use) and exercise room(didn'y use) plus parking(didn't use). Not sure if […] parking is free. Had small small lobby. Staff available 24 hours. Mehr

Room was OK but the people at the desk were not helpful and rude.

Reasonable priced hotel as an alternative to hotels closer to the convention center.

this place is a dump

The main disapointment was after paying Hotels.com for the room the motel charged me another $20 per night to park my car in their parking lot. I found that very disapointing. I do not believe that was any fault of Hotel,com.

I will be staying there again if rooms are available this coming summer.

Great location from everything we enjoyed doing..needs a little up dating but other than that was a great stay..would stay again

Located a few blocks from the French Quarter, this hotel was a good location--and even though we stayed during a festival, the hotel was far enough away from the action that it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel itself is run-down, and there was a distinct scent of mold or mildew in the room. Pretty gross. The staff was helpful, though, and you don't […] really go to New Orleans to spend time in the hotel, so it was adequate for our needs. Was a little dissappointed with the Hotels accomadations overall.

This hotel provides a convenient walk to Bourbon but that's about it! It is very rundown and in desperate need of updating and modifications. There are plastered holes in the wall. I was also told that the parking would be SEVENTEEN dollars per day only to be informed upon arrival that there was a "Special Event" so parking was TWENTY-FIVE dollars per […] night. I have yet to find out what the "Special Event" was and the desk clerk did not know. It was okay for a couple of days and in great proximity to Bourbon and surrounding areas.....but I will not be staying there again. Mehr

Room had a bit of a smell and bathroom was small but overall it was a decent stay. Staff was very friendly.

Meh. The price was okay for the area. Everything was okay. Our ground floor room had a slightly damp floor, likely from a shower stall that didn't close all the way, but it was fine. Bed was good and clean. Park across the street. It's $30 for two days versus the $25/day the hotel charges in its overcrowded lot where you're care is more likely to get […] dinged or scratched because the spaces are so tiny. Mehr

rooms are so bad, and beds full of hair. we found a small thing inside the bed looks like a scorpion, and then we changed the rooms to have another bed full of dog's hair i think. i didn't sleep the hole night, i spent the night on the floor. my skin was itching me all the time, and i got red things on my overhead. so, don't you dare to take this h […] otel. Great hotel to stay at! Staff was VERY friendly...from front desk to housekeeping...GREAT GREAT GREAT!! Perfect location to everything we wanted to get to!! Room was great and rates....AWESOME!! Would recommend anyone to stay here....and I will definitely stay here again when coming to New Orleans!!

When I arrivied it was very late or should I say very early (130 AM) there was a problem with my reseveration but the front desk worked hard to get it fixed and allow me to get into my room for some much needed rest. The room was small but clean I just need a place to sleep I was at a conferance for the week that started at 730 AM and went past 8 PM […] many nights so for what I needed it work well Mehr

I found 2 live cockroaches in the room, the TV didn't work, and there was a cigarette butt in the hallway. I definitely would not stay here again if I had any other options. I had also requested a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room. The window (in a 6th floor room) had no screen and was open when we checked into the room. The O'Keefe is very conveniently located for walking to the French Quarter, and affordable, which were our two main criteria. Be sure to find out in advance what their daily charge is for parking your car in their lot (it's pricey). The hotel itself is kind of run down, but we expected that for the price. It was ok, just stayed out till 3 a.m. and wanted to sleep late. Got a call at 7:30 a.m. to inform me that since I booked online with my credit card, that I would have to re-run my credit card for the parking fee that I had added to my room the night before, because they did not still have card number on file. Really did not appreciate that.....

The entire hotel smells of cigarette smoke so don't stay here if you have bad allergies. However, it was a convenient location to other conference hotels and also walking distance to Bourbon Street and other local attractions.

The hotel is fine for a one night stay but that's about it. Rooms are very small with the bathroom being even smaller. Beds are not very comfortable and could hear voices in the halls and other rooms through out the night.

Great location for the price. Best bargain for all my families needs. Parking on-site a plus. Breakfast not bad.

Nice location!!! Close enough to the action in the French Quarters. But far enough so you don't have to deal with the traffic and noise. Also, very close to the Superdome. This hotel is for anyone who wants to be near the action but not directly in it. A+.......

The hotel is a great value. Extremely friendly staff! We had a problem with our a/c unit and they came promptly to look at it but ended up moving us to another room instead.

For the price it was ok, especially during mardi gras season, the worst was the smell of the hotel and rooms, it seemed clean, but there was an odor. Rooms are small and they don't have any upgrades like they still have old school Tv's. I haven't seen that in a hotel in a long time. No refridge or microwave as stated. Just a plain place to lay your […] head, but like I said for the price around mardi gras it was ok. We were never there anyway. Breakfast was ok, cold ceral, Danishes, muffins,instant grits, instant oatmeal, and waffles that you make. Which was a pretty good selection for continental breakfast. Overall it was ok. Mehr

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and informative about what to see and how to get to the locations they suggested. The hotel location was great. It was a short walk to Bourbon Street and other main attractions but yet far enough away that the noise was limited. I would definately stay there again,

easy walk to French quarter, Bourbon Street, Canal, etc.
