I will definitely come back to the Double Tree Hotel in Danvers. The staff was so friendly; I love the cleaning staff the most, I never met such friendly ladies. This hotel had everything we needed so we barely left the hotel. The family rooms were great, the kids had a wonderful time.

Perfect vacation outing!! A fifteen minute drive from our house, this hotel has it all so our four-year-old granddaughter learned lots of new vocabulary on her first hotel visit: doorman, bellhop, registration, room service, indoor pool, waterpark, and ZUMBA!! And then there are the wonderful Doubletree cookies!!

We decided to make the trek up to Boston and check out the history etc.. have the water park attached to the hotel seemed like a great idea. The rooms DO NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES!! I got the king suite with the 2 small kid beds.. The room was dirty, the bathroom toilet was falling apart, the tub stopper was stuck and would not open, the pipes rattle […] like a jack hammer when you or ANYONE next to you take a shower. There are ONLY 7 tv channels WTH! The food is high priced, luckily there are a bunch of restaurants within 4 miles. I will never stay at this hotel again. Mehr

I spotted 5 things that if I had my toolbox with me, I could have fixed in 2-3 minutes. Nothing serious, just little things that I would never leave as is in my own home. Clean, but needed a handyman to take a walk through.

We met up with many extended family members for Sat. to Monday stay and were able to easily get together at the restaurant, cafe, etc. Kids had great time at water park. Room had everything needed but did not get cleaned on Sunday (left room @ 1:30 pm so returned Sun night to unmade meds, dirty towels,etc.). Also, tv only worked on analog channels. […] And finally, long line for check in on Sat......about 1/2 hour. Otherwise, good value. Mehr

The room was quite nice. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was frazzled but as pleasent as they could be under the circumstances. The problem is that the hotel is attached to an indoor waterpark. We waited over an hour standing in line to check in. Apparently, everyone shows up at the same time on Saturday (check in isn't until 4) […] and the staff is simply not equipped to handle the inflow. Both checkin areas were chaos with screaming wet children. We also couldn't get breakfast the next morning at the hotel because there was more than an hour wait at the restaurant. If Saturday's are always this busy, there is simply no excuse for the hotel to not have extra staff or a separate line for folks not getting warter park tickets. Mehr

I booked the executive floor for an extra $50 a night, there was abosolute no benefit being on the executive floor. Breakfast was $15 a person and Dinner was $19 a person. The worst part was the pool, because its part of a fitness center that people have memberships to and you can't going swimming when they have class which is more than half the time. […] I will never go to this hotel ever again, I would rather stay at motel 6 than stay another night there. Professional service from the hotel. The CoCo key water resort is a little disappointing due to very limited variety of water activities. The wet floor was not maintained clean enough and the stairs are not young kids friendly.

Overall, a good stay. The hotel is under construction, so some consideration has been given to this. The person smoking something by the doors was a concern at this family vacation place, as was the tub that had no drain cover and would not drain. Would I stay again? We booked through Expedia. We had a room in the basement of the hotel that was not ventilated so well. Temperature control was very hard, too hot or too cold. We had a room that had two childrens beds in it, not the suite I thought it would be with a couch or lounge chairs. Too expensive for nothing, no breakfast, no real comfort. The building is under construction, so you need to go in with an open mind. The pluses were the common areas such as the louges and coffee shop. It is always nice to have a place in a get a bit to eat within the hotel you are staying. The room was nice but over priced for a building under such contruction, however, I was in a pinch and they were the […] only place with a room in the general area. The two biggested weak points were encountered were the front desk at check in. The staff was out numbered and they needed a manager or support staff to assist the check in process. Two staff members were not enough to handle the amount of people, many of whom needed their room to change to get to an event or wedding. The elevators are too small and too slow to handle the amount of guests. The wait was too long for comfort. Hopefully these items are on the to do list of the owners. The staff was terrific and helpful, however, there we just not enough on duty at key times. The maids could not get the room completed quick enough for the guests. I would give this hotel another chance once the renovation are completed as I think it will be a solid operation in the future based on its current staff. I would also stay for a single overnight stay during construction, however, I would not stay for more than a single night. Mehr

Hotel is in the middle of major renovations. Some floors are closed for that purpose. Tough entering and leaving property due to roadwork. Room was just redone so everything was new. Renovation work begins by 8 am so no sleeping in.

We stayed for 2 nights... overall it was OK; amenities were great - pool, sauna, gym, bar/restaurant, etc... there was construction going on so we woke up to hammers and saws... none of the chambermaids spoke english though? Overall between 3.5 out of 5

The hotel is under renovation and name changing. The entrance has a safty warning sign which made me uncomfortable to drive in. I arrived around 10pm trying to find coco key hotel, but I found double tree instead. The front desk said it is coco key.

The stay would be better if you had children. There is not much to walk to as far as shopping or food you must drive to all except what is in the hotel. None the less a good stay

The hotel room was average, nothing to write home about. But the waterpark was awesome, well worth the overnight stay. All of us (two older kids and wife) loved the "lazy river", four big water slides and hot tubs.

This was pretty decent place to stay but the water park was only open thurs-sunday. AND it had a private event so it was disappointing. The food was expensive at the restaurant and coffee shop. It was about 30 minutes to the airport so NOT convenient.

There was a power outage which explains running out of hot water but over 24 hours after power was restored there was still no hot water yet. Should it have taken that long. The hotel did know 25% off the room rate.

I asked the front desk to get my e-ticket printed out for my flight. When he was in the airline site, he found trouble in printing out unless he make the selection for seating for which he charged my credit card for $25.00 with out asking me ( I gave the credit card to charge it for my hotel check out)

This hotel has seen better days. The carpeting throughout is stained and worn. Bathrooms need renovation:tiles are cracked, caulking is needed around fixtures. Furniture is old, damaged, and dated. Elevators are noisy and don't operate smoothly. They're kind of scary to ride in. The premises has promise, but a lot of money needs to be spent.

I didn't go for the resort, I just was in town for a baby shower. I was happy with the price. Didn't get room service b/c it was real expensive. If you are just looking for a room to use and not get room service or use the resort I think its a good deal.

There were 5 people standing behind the counter and 1 person checking in ahead of me. I had to wait 5 minutes for the person ahead of me to finish checking in. Then they didn't even tell me my room number. I had 5 people in my party. I asked for a cot and was told it's against state regulations. They didn't offer to see if an upgrade was available. […] They did offer to send up more bed linens and I said it would be appreciated. Never happened. The room had 3 towels in it. My husband went to the front desk and asked for additional towels. He was told housekeeping would bring them. They did 1.5 hours later after everyone had already showered and we were leaving. Very expensive - almost $15/ person for breakfast buffet. and almost $40/ person to get into Cocoa Key. The rates may have been higher because of its proximity to Salem in Oct but I have stayed at the Ohio locations and the CT locations. less expensive better customer service Mehr

Stayed up on the 8th floor the scenery was great and the room has a nice set up. However that first night the toilet clogged, no doing of my own, and remained clogged until we checked out the following morning. We called that night and the front desk said they would send someone up when they could get around to it. That never happened. The following […] morning I went to take a shower and I could only manage To make it out to Luke warm at best. At least the manager the next day offered to give us 4 complimentary passes to the water park for our next visit. That is about a $160 value. By the way, your room rates do not include the water park which will run you about $40 a day. Mehr

We stumbled upon this hotel thinking it was in the city of Boston on the waterfront. Turns out, it has a water park inside the hotel and is in the city of Danvers. It was actually not far from Boston though. The hotel was very nice and definitely worth the price. Very clean and spacious, and not overly crowded. The staff were all very friendly. My husband […] and I shared a room with a couple of our friends, one of them who snores VERY loudly. When we couldn't sleep, we went down to the front desk to see if there was anything they could do. They offered us another room at a reduced rate (which was very nice, but still a little too much for us), and when we turned it down she gave us earplugs! She said if they still don't help that she would ask her manager if there's anything else he could do. Wow, so nice!! They were very accommodating. My only complaint was that the double beds were a bit small, I think they were full size, which is fine...increases snuggling probabilities. I also enjoyed the water pressure in the shower, and the very large desk to put your extra things on. Mehr

When the crest adorning the shower door proudly tells you the hotel was built in 1981 you know no to expect the cutting edge. This 4 star hotel has seen better days and will be due for a major spruce up or a downgrade to 3 star. The rooftop bar and pool are popular in summer but a little down market, with plastic cups served even away from the pool. […] The cabaret in the lobby bar harks back to the hotel's heyday with as much shabbiness as nostalgia, the dim lighting hiding the dated appearance of the plastic synthesizer as well, I suspect of the singer. The hotel is well situated near Montreal's shopping, commercial and nightlife in the city centre, with a popular cafe on the nearest corner. Expect to put your hand in your pocket for services other hotels in this price range include, such as parking, breakfast and even a baby crib in the room. Mehr

We enjoyed our day stay here. Only complaint is that the room service personel on the phone where a tad bit rude on the phone when we ordered some late night sandwiches. Nothing that wouldn't keep me from staying there again.

The water park is nice but the rooms are NOT that great......sofa had a hole on it and stained with something. The bed was the only thing in the room that look nice and somewhat clean (meaning that they need to dust off the bed skirt too.......YET .....The house keeper was helpful when u asked for help. The price for the stay isn't worth it. Maybe replace […] the furniture would help. This place looks like it was nice when they built it but it's understaffed and rundown now. The rooms that are advertised as having two beds have one bed and a small uncomfortable pull-out couch. We had to ask for pillows and blankets for the couch, and they sent up one pillow. There is no free internet access in the rooms, and the free wifi in the […] lobby is painfully slow. We came here specifically to use the water park, and were led to believe we could buy passes when we got here but it was sold out. We were thinking of using the hotel pool but they charged $5 per person for entrance to the pool for one hour. The restaurants and snack shops are overpriced and don't offer many options. do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Mehr

The room was big, clean and comfortable. I was there for a business conference but I had to arrive in advance during the weekend when the hotel was full of families having fun in the adjacent in-door water resort. I tell you they should have real sound isolated walls with this type of clients. The sounds coming from the room next to me, inhabited by […] three teenagers, drove me away. Luckily they left on Sunday morning. The hotel really is in the middle of nowhere and you have no reason to go there if your conference is not directly there or if you are not the family after the weekend full of in-doors water fun. I mean the hotel is big enough and the management could keep the business and leisure clients apart if they cared.. Rent a car or your own car is must. There is a system of courtesy shuttles that will get you to points of interest in the area, including the Logan airport typically in no more than a couple of hours, you cannot rely on it though. The capacity is limited and you are out of luck if a big group or several smaller groups want to dine outside. One big minus is that they charge you extra for internet in the room per 24hours. The courtesy internet in the lobby is slow bordering to useless.. Mehr

This hotel is the perfect place for a family weekend getaway. The Coco Key waterpark located in the hotel makes it a great destination in cold weather.
