This hotel's customer service has been one of the best I have witnessed. No excuses was made. The willingness and for me what it came right down to it, the attitude. Last two weeks I traveled by road 3210 miles. If this is the Hotel in Minot, located a little bit north of Highway 94, on a hill side near a little car lot. It was cleaner then most hotels […] I stayed in. The lady behind the counter when i checked in greeted me with a genuine smile, and the morning guy almost jumped out of his chair to help me check out, gives me only one choice. If I am in Minot again this hotel gets my business. I really don't care about price, though it does help. For me it is all about attitude and service. Mehr

I was happy with the service. The lady at the counter knew the area and recommended a great Irish pub and eatery. The rooms weren't bad but there was an odor in the hallways. All in all you get what you pay for and this was the cheapest hotel in town.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and on the phone they told me I could park my truck over the weekend with a Thursday night stay. When I arrived, they told me that "never do that, can't do that". When I threatened to cancel the reservation, they say they would make an exception this one time. When I returned later to get my car, […] it needed a jump start. The staff was eager to NOT get involved. Otherwise, the room was modest but nice enough; though it was old. As long as you don't have to rely on the staff for any of your needs, you should be fine staying here. Mehr

Hotel way ok, clearly older. Strong floral scent was used throughout the lobby and my room. Breakfast was very sparse.

Having stayed in Super 8s some time ago, I was very impressed with this hotel. Facility and staff were great. And the cost was very competitive. I will stay again.

Staff were helpful and courteous. Room was clean but an old smoking odor despite the non-smoking room. Price is good and includes continental breakfast.

Easily the worst hotel stay anywhere/ever (and I have stayed in a lot of bad hotels in my travels). Start off with a front desk clerk who didn't know how to handle a transaction from hotels.com & nearly told me he couldn't allow me to stay - then got rude with me & told ME to call hotels.com. Upon entering my room, I had dozed off only to find a housekeeper […] entering the room thinking it was empty! Then, they put a guest with a load/barking dog in the room next to me. This dog went on to bark for at least 6 hours before I stopped counting. When I called the front desk, they said they'd take care of it. 2 hours later, I had to call them again! They asked me if I could move. I was there first and was in bed trying to sleep...why should I be the one to move? I went out for a bite to eat & came back to a key that didn't work....not once, not twice, but three times!! Throw in the load housekeepers in the hall, the overwhelming smell of curry in the air, and the extremely small sink in the bathroom & you have a stay that can only be termed as miserable!! Mehr

The person who worked the desk came up after we waited for a bit, and was extremely rude to us. When we told her the rate we were given by hotels.com she told us no and would not honor the rate. But we were in a tight spot and had to pay the rate she gave us. When we came back to our room the following night our cards wouldn't open the door and had […] to have it reprogrammed. The heat we had on was turned off and the room was very cold, and it took a couple of hours to warm up. I can't believe that this particular Super 8 is still carrying the name. Mehr

The furnishings were from the 1960's. Water stained. Rooms were painted with runs and smears. It was awful. Unclean breakfast area in a very small alcove with not seating. Super 8 should be ashamed to even have their name on this property. Very poor lighting for parking was a safety issue for us. No elevator. Steps up and down. There was not a ground […] level floor for those with mobility problems. Had we known we would not have stayed there. We thought all Super 8's were mobility accessible. They should have a Super 8 rep check this place out. Mehr

The facility was clean, however, the sheets were very worn, hole and black stains on pillowcase. Continental breakfast was very bare-bones and disappointing. I will not stay there again.

This hotel is old and very smelly, no amount of air freshner could cover the old smell. It was dark and dingy and I would not even walk on the carpet in my bare feet, for sure wouldn't use the ancient shower. The price we paid was way to high for the condition of this hotel. The staff were very pleasant and there was nothing they could do about the […] smell but we were lucky that they let us check out after only one night. There was no way we could stand that smell for another night. This place needs a major overhall before it would be worth what they charge! Mehr

Would have been nice if the bathroom door and the plug ins worked ! Also the peaking lot is so small that we had to park at the building next door . When we talked to the manager , I think she just said " it is a super 8 not a fancy hotel " I won't stay at a super 8 again!

We stayed at Super 8 while we got our MSU student settled in at residence. The hotel was very close to the campus, staff at front desk were polite, helpful and courteous. The only downfall was the upkeep of room. It had seen a LOT of use, and it showed. The toilet ran all night and we found that if we wiggled the flusher, it stopped. Annoying. Pric

Was very unsatisfied, i requested a non smoking room and i got a smoking room. Air conditioner didnt work, night worker uncooperative about it.

The rooms had an offensive smell and seemed very unclean. They need a total renovation. Breakfast was substandard. We had a choice of bread or sugar cereal. There was not even peanut butter only two types of jam. We stayed in a Super 8 in Canada the day before and the breakfast included hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, muffins, several choices of cereal […] plus yogurt and fruit. Mehr

We have stayed at this hotel several times, because it is close to the airport. The hotel is always clean and the staff always friendly. We were a little upset this time as the phone in the room did not work and when I walked down 3 flights of stairs to tell the desk clerk her only suggestion was to wiggle the cord..... as if I hadn't done that before […] going down to talk to her. There was also no ash tray in the room and the pillow cases were so old and over used that one actually ripped when I pulled on it to adjusted my pillow. There was also a girl out in the parking lot at 3 in the morning yelling and being stupid, but we couldn't call front desk because the phone didn't work. We will probably not stay there again as we had a very stressful stay this time. Mehr

Hotel was very nice but under construction which was frustrating due to constant banging till almost 9pm on the friday night and at 8 am Sunday morning! Other than that an enjoyable stay

When we first got there after a long 6 hr drive, there was no one at the desk, with a sign that says 'clerk will be right back'. After 15 minutes still no one there. Then finally a woman came down the stairs, talking on her cell phone. At this point there were 2 other customers also waiting for help from the front desk. We were all fairly irritated […] by then. The check in process went smoothly after we finally got looked after. We checked into the room, and all the lamps were very dusty, and there was a thick layer of dust behind the bed as well. We weren't about to go change rooms, as we were exhaused, and it wasn't a big bother to us. Then we got ready for bed, and all we could hear upstairs were elephants stomping around. I phoned the front desk to see if they could ask the people above us to quiet down (it was 11:30pm) and she said she 'would get around to it when she could'. They were still stomping around all night, thankfully we had some cottonballs that we shoved in our ears to drown out the noise. Another downfall of this hotel was the homeless people that were living in their cars taking up parking spots. It made us feel very uncomfortable, and we also couldn't find a parking spot, so we had to park down at the dairy queen. I told the girl at the front desk about this, and she just shrugged her shoulders. AVOID THIS DUMP! Mehr

The room was dirty, the bathroom was in very poor condition. There was a hole in the ceiling where the tub in the room above me was leaking thru. Also the tub had hair all over it from the previous renter. Ibwant impressed with this hotel at all and will never stay there again. It was very unclean an not maintained at all. For the price it isn't bad. People you have to understand that North Dakota is in the middle of an oil boom and people moving here out grows constructing housing. Supply vs demand. If the price is too much consider traveling through South Dakota.

Asked for a non-smoking room & definitely was not! The smoke smell, the dirty sock on the desk chair and the long black hair on the "clean" hand towel were enough to make me realize why this is a 2-star motel.
