The refrigerator didn't work in the room, two out of three lights in the room needed bulbs to be replaced. The shower and tub was dirty and the bathroom light went out after 11 pm and never went back on. When called to complain they said we would have to wait till morning to get it fixed. Very comfortable for the money paid. Wished they had extra pillows. But I guess I could have got it if I had asked. The receptionist very. Professional. Recommend if you are not too picky, but just to rest or get away.

too few outlets; room smelled a little funny; sink bowl not quite clean; both sink and tub drained slowly like they needed to be snaked; imprecise heater (no digital thermostat): low/high and heat/cold/fan only. We kept boiling or freezing in our sleep. Part of the problem was the curtains hung over the heater vent, so warm air blew them out from the […] wall, heating the outside as much as the room. The door to the outside in the kitchen area are too close to the inside door, so cold air would blast in along with leaves and dirt whenever anyone went through there. The real kicker was the poor continental breakfast. In particular, the juice machine was out of order, so they bought a jug of orange drink, the first ingredient of which was sugar. That is disgusting, and the coffee wasn't very good, either. The night before we drove down the street to find a place to eat. If you think McDonald's is real food, you're okay, but if not, Subway is your only choice. The place wasn't bedbug ridden or a roach motel, but it left a lot to be desired. Mehr

The room met our needs: a cheap place to stay for the night. However, the room was pretty dirty. I don't think we had clean sheets: they were stained, torn, and the pillow case had small hairs and little pieces of fuzz from other fabric. We ended up using our own pillows. The counter around the sink had not been clean- there was some drops of sticky […] liquid on it. The toilet seat was up and there was urine in the toilet. We also had a coffee pot in the room, but no coffee for it. When I asked the front desk for some, they said they were all out. We did get coffee from the breakfast in the am. Breakfast was from 6-9 and it went pretty quickly. I went for a run, but grabbed some muffins and brough them to my room for later. Mehr

I would go again made me feel special

The television his limited channels and the microwave couldn't even pop popcorn. The bathtubs could be cleaner as there was mold on the underside. The vending machines were empty on my last stay. The staff was friendly though.

Clean, convenient, cheap...... what more do you need?

This was the most disgusting place I've ever stayed. The parties were going on all night. It seemed like a rent by the hour type of place. I'm thankful it was for business and I didn't subject my family to this place!

The staff were'nt friendly. They whisper in dielet other than English. My first visit to the bathroom drove me almost insane. I discover faeces all over the blind side of the toilet bowl, for which I had to call the front desk at 11: 15 am. the date I arrived. I understand the price is affordable for a two stars,yet at least some new pillow & blankets […] could be uplitfing. Due to all these and the noise next door on my 3rd day, I had no option but to check-out a day earlier. Mehr

IT WAS OK...EXCEPT THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE ARE VERY PARINOID AND THEY TOO DISRESPECTFUL...WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THEY ARE GONNA BE BACK TO PAY FOR A LONGER STAY ....YOU DON'T DOWN TALK WITH A DISGUISE AND GO IN AND TOUCH THEIR STUFF.

the room was ok until the lingerie at the side of the bed was found assuming it was left by the people who previously were in the room and not there for a long time it was an indication that the room was not cleaned properly and came as a turn off becasue i booked online ahead of time

Nothing good to say about this hotel other than its close proximity to all major highway connectors in Hartford.

BEDBUGS...need I say more...very old linen...pillows cracker thin and stained....cigerette burns on furniture....Hotel and room reeks of muslum oils and perfumes....front desk as thick glass from counter to ceiling for their "protection"....

This hotel is very dirty, pillows are flat and yellow. Bedding is stained and room was not even restocked for coffee and condiments. This hotel was loud and very hard to sleep in.

The staff was pathetic. The rooms were bad.. Do not stay here if you can afford a better place.

This hotel did the job for a short stay. Not a bad place minus all the weed smells and kids up makin noise at night.

Though the location and price were right, you get what you pay for. The hotel wasn't great, but for a spot to sleep after a late night, it was wonderful. I'm 18, and my two friends and I stayed there on New Years Eve. Some of the staff was extremely rude; we were told we were not allowed to wait in the lobby when waiting for a cab, and then the lady […] at the desk questioned my age, demanding to know how old I was and who had checked us in, even though she had seen my ID earlier that night when SHE checked us in. But otherwise, the experience was pleasant. The continental breakfast was an added bonus, and the room served its purpose well. I would probably go back. Mehr

I would not recommend this hotel. I spent the night at here And I have to say I would never go back. When I first checked. I had to change rooms the first room the blinds were broken so after change in room I may as well adjusted home. the second room the towels and washcloths dirty so was the linen on the bed found condom wrappers in the garbage bin […] the room wasnt vacuum properly there were here in the wash tub from the people stayed the night before and I'm tryna relax and trying to make the dest of it and forget about all that. I was in Hartford, CT on business and on a budget. The Super 8 was priced right with free wireless internet and a free continental breakfast. The room was clean and I had cable channels. All in all, not bad except there was no closet, no ironing board and many other amenities were missing from the room. If you need a place to stay for a night or two […] the Super 8 is great. Beyond that, stay somewhere else more suitable for people who like to iron and hang their clothes. :) Mehr

Very close to the XL center!

The hotel was very seedy. The people scary. No contact with front desk, he was behind glass. Burns in furniture ect. Not a good place to stay with a child. Felt very unsafe. A drug deal happened right in front of me.

Dirty, broken furniture. Room smelled terrible, staff was sleeping when we arrived, I told the front desk our room had no working lights and there was gum all over the door, they di not care........it was an aweful expetience.

This is the worest place I have ever stayed.Our room had a nasty odor. The carpet was ripped and stained. Furniture was stained by some white substance. Walls where stained and had red stuff on one wall. The bathroom had looked like it was never cleaned spots on the floor of something. I would never recommend this to anyone. If it was not so late in […] the day I would have never stayed. Due to the power outages this was the only room available in the area. This hotel was clean and the people were friendly. The cable TV and internet in room was included. The room and the hotel room/breakfast was conservative. The hotel is outside of the city and there was not much to do in the neighborhood, so you have to have a car to travel back into the city. Over all this was good for a budget hotel.

This is a very nice and spotless motel. the people were cordial and the room was very comfortable. There was a coffee machine in the room and complimentary breakfast in the morning . Loved the whole experience. will be returning

Room was clean but had bed bugs. Bed Sheets and covers were not fresh. Location of hotel is good as far as connectivity to downtown through CTTransit is concerned, but not enough dining options except a subway, MacD and Burger King. Continental breakfast quantity small. Ran out of milk, cereal very quickly

Morning Breakfast - horrible Rooms - broken fire alarm, broken remote for TV, towels rough, bed post broken, no wash cloths, ran out of facial tissue Parking was good and close to the highway

This hotel was not what I expected it was family ran and they where not a friendly staff and the covers did not seem clean we had to wait 30 to 40 min for a taxi because the owners of the hotel took his time calling one they claim they have breakfast at 6;00 but it was not put out until almost 6;45 I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My gripe about the place is the in the wall air conditioner worked well but was full of MOLD spores. The Queen bed was for sure less comfortable than sleeping on the sidewalk outside, it was so stiff and unyielding The pillows were so bad quality that wadding up your T-shirt in a ball and using that would suffice just as well. The bed covers were clean, […] however don't get cold because all there is, is a sheet & thin bed spread, no extra stuff in the room. For the money it was clean but highly uncomfortable Mehr

the bullet proof glass at the front desk was a little disconcerting upon check in. made me wonder about the neighborhood and ppl there. the pillows were well used and lumpy, we went to a departmentt store and brought our own pillows. the breakfast hours of 600-900 am was too early, wish they extended it to atleast 10 am.

We were shocked to arrive at the motel & find the parking lot filled with tailgating college age students. The manager said "it was just concert season" & you couldn't even hardly talk to the motel employees behind the glass because their microphone didn't work. We needed to make the decision whether our car was even safe in the glass shrewn parking […] lot - what a nightmare since with Hotel.com my credit card had already been charged for the stay. Hotels.com should not be assiciated with a motel that allows such activity. We we awakened numerous times by routy kids & kids getting sick in the bushes in front of the windows by our room. Mehr

The floors in the hallways are dirty. The hotel is older and needs some repair. The security doors that require room key access were not working so the facility was not secure. There were condom wrappers and cigarette butts on the floor. The shower curtain rod was loss and coming off the wall. I cut my foot on a piece of glass what was on the carpet. […] After examining the glass, I discovered it was a piece of a crystal meth pipe. I went to the lobby to get first aid kit but all they had was bandaids. At about 2:00am a large group of young adults, who were obviously wrapping up an evening of drinking started to congregate in the parking lot. They were loud and obnoxious. They eventually made it upstairs and were no different. Yelling in the hallways, running and wrestling. Checkout was at 11:00 but the house keeper was banging on my door at 10:00 and woke me from my sleep. Its not in the nicest areas of town but it is conveniently located 5 minutes north of downtown next to Interstate 91. Its near a McDonalds, a porn shop next door and some car dealerships. The internet did have a great connection and the staff was friendly but this is definitely a late night party hotel. I probably would not stay here again. But like I said, you get what you pay for. This was my second stay in this hotel, and it was a great deal compared to the room rate of the convention center downtown, where we were attending an event all weekend. It's very conveniently located, being only one exit away from the convention center on I-91, so we were able to come and go easily. The breakfast offerings were rather modest, but […] still appreciated: cereal, oatmeal, toast, pastries, muffins, and coffee and juice. We were able to supplement the food we brought with us, which is always helpful. The only real improvements we'd request would be bigger bath towels, and our smoke detector was beeping quietly each morning, like there was a low battery. Other than that, I'd recommend this hotel for anyone with a tight budget, and we will probably stay again if we come back to Hartford. Mehr

This no-frills hotel was more like a motel. Very little lobby space. Check-in is behind security glass. Vending machine was out of the beverages I wanted. Staff was stand-offish. The bed was comfortable. There was a used cotton swab on the floor by the bed. The heat didn't work, and it was chilly that night. The air conditioning did work. The continental breakfast was not that great - bread, mini sugar donuts (like you get in a small pack you buy at the drug store) small muffins, cheerios, and raisin bran. First, and most importantly, our room wasn't very clean. I'm not convinced that they changed the sheets from the last person who stayed there. There was an alarm clock superglued to the bedside table, but it was smashed, so we had no clock. We also found a used coffee filter in our coffee maker. The hotel is right next to I-91, and we could hear the […] traffic all night. The walls and windows are very thin. The complimentary breakfast apparently ends by 9:00, which is a lot earlier than most places. The area around the hotel consisted of car dealerships, warehouses, and an adult video store. Nothing is within walking distance, and I wouldn't want to walk around this area. I've stayed in plenty of budget hotels before, but I was pretty unimpressed by this one. I got what I payed for: a simple place to crash while on a road trip, but I'm glad I only stayed for one night. Mehr

We experienced a few things during our stay. I thought the towels could be cleaner. I saw spots on some of the towels. In addition, the towels could be whiter. The thermostat was not working properly in Room 150. The fan on the heater ran all night. Need a rail on the wall or bathtub for safety. On the other hand, need bathtub strips to keep from falling […] in the tub. I was told there were no handicap rooms with two double beds that had a rail on the bathtub wall for safety. Mehr
