Stay was great. Just wish the shower had better water pressure or a different shower head. I have longer hair and it took a bit for it to get wet but other than that, the stay was great for the cost.
"Davenport Super 8 hotel is disgusting"
The Davenport Super 8 is not all what it looks like in the pictures on this site. It was very run down and the entire place smelled of smoke. The bathroom was very dirty so much so that the bottom of the tub was literally covered in green slime. The bed had bugs in it and the windows were full of spider webs. We could not stay in the hotel because […] of the disrepair and the hotel refused to give us our money back. Whatever you do, do not stay at this hotel! Mehr

It was ok. Needed a lot of upgrading. It was clean but I would not stay again. I will admit though that the breakfast area was clean and very adequate.
"Super 8 in Davenport, IA - comfortable and quiet"
The breakfast was nice. The hotel clerk made sure the waffle batter was fresh by only putting out a few at a time. Our room looked out on a lawn surrounded by trees...very quiet. Loved the coffee maker, one cup at a time. One of us had decaf, the other had regular. We were able to get the temperature to what was comfortable for us. I'm not from the davenport area, so the location of this hotel is ideal for me. There are cheaper hotels close to this one, but judging from the outside, I can't bring myself to book my weekend stay with them. Overall, the facility is decent. A little outdated, and no elevator, but for the amount of time spent in the hotel it was great. Only complaints […] I had was that the blow dryer didn't work, and that's almost a necessity for us girls! And I booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. It smelled a little funky, but the room was clean, so I couldn't complain too much. Staff was very friendly, and willing to arrange a different room for me, but since my boyfriend smokes it wasnt a huge deal, because it gave him the option to smoke if he wanted to...he didn't, so next time I'll probably ask for the other room. Would I recommend this hotel to others? Yes. In fact I just booked a 3 night stay with them for this weekend. The boyfriend didn't really have any complaints either, other than the air Freshener mixed with the smoke smell was kinda overwhelming when you walked in the door, but we quickly adjusted and didn't even notice. I'd have to say its a decent place to stay for the price, and I'll probably be booking my monthly weekend stays with this facility. Mehr

"Super 8 in Davenport"
I was in town to shoot the Quad City Airshow so I just needed a room for a quiet night's sleep. The staff was very pleasant and tried to be helpful with my questions. Although the motel wasn't new, my room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little softer than most, but I actually enjoyed a restful night's sleep as a result. The breakfast and vending […] area was more complete than most and was very clean. I enjoyed my stay and will return there the next time I'm in the Quad Cities. It was a good value for an affordable price. Mehr

"great deal for a place to plop your head!"
This place is a great bargain and I would stay here again to save the extra money it would have cost me to stay elsewhere. Bed was comfortable, room clean, good location next to Thunder Bay Grille (very good food) and free breakfast. We got a suite which was quite large. My husband had a few laughs about how old the upholstered sofa, armchairs and coffee […] table were,so we got some comedy for free. Have the right expectations and you'll be satisfied, too. Mehr

Stay was great for the price, staff friendly and helpful. The only thing was when we reserved our room through hotel .com we requested a non-smoking room and when we got there the room we were shown to was smoking. We simply asked for a non-smoking room and all was great after that. Don't know if the mistake was on hotel.com's part or on Super 8 and […] they just didn't look at the reservation info. "excellent economy hotel"
hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable, which was all we were expecting at this proce point. free breakfast was typical of anywhere elese i have stayed in this level of hotel. we got exactly what we paid for.
"Decent for the price"
The hotel was a decent price and in an ok location. Check-in was easy and quick but the concierge wasn't very friendly. The toilet in our first room didn't work so they moved us quickly which was good. The room they moved us to was clean enough but not amazing. Continental breakfast was good enough. Overall it was just ok, not great.

There is no elavator. So if your room is on the second floor, pack lightly. There was a good breakfast selection including waffles.

"Clean. Good Breakfast - NOT the Ritz."
Everything was clean - which is all i really require. Carpet was soggy, which was a little odd - solved with flip flops. Delicious bagels for breakfast. I would stay again if passing through for a quick night.
"Ridiculous Checkout"
It CLEARLY states on the door that checkout is at 11. Yet we had people banging on our door from 10:00 on, asking if we were ready to check out yet. The manager of the hotel, I presume, went up and down the halls yelling at people to pound on the doors of customers asking if they were ready to check out yet. The breakfast should have lasted longer, […] but I heard it was decent. You get what you pay for in this hotel. There were dust bunnies in the corners, and no fitted sheet on the bed, so halfway through the night we woke up laying on the mattress. The comforters seemed new and clean, so that was a plus. However, don't expect any extra space in the room. I was surprised they even managed to fit the bed in the room. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. The towels and bathroom were clean. Again, you get what you pay for. The room isn't perfect, but it's not the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was easy to find and get to. The only complaint was being rushed to check out before 11. Bare bones room, but clean (good value). The breakfast was very good (waffles, fruit, cereal, coffee). A great value when considering the breakfast.

"Great Room"
I have stayed at this hotel several times. This last time my expectations were exceeded. Like always when we came in we were greeted by the desk staff and check in was very quick. We were directed to our room and told to have a great stay. Usually when I enter the room it's clean and has that familiar hotel smell, however this stay was exceptional. […] The room was of course very clean but this time it didn't smell like a hotel, it had this wonderful smell of cleanliness and a fresh aroma. Very welcoming smell! My cousin and I did not want to leave the room because it smelled so good.(we did leave to go shopping)The neighborhood isn't right in the city so its a great place to have a quiet night and when we came in late we felt safe walking into the hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the shower/bath was clean and stocked. In the morning my cousin and I went down to get breakfast. I had a waffle and she had a bagel. There was so much food to choose from.(fruits,cereals,oatmeal and muffins)We went back to our room to get the rest of our stuff and it was getting close to check out time so the desk clerk called to our room to check if we were going to check out or stay another night. I'm glad they called we had lost track of time :) When we did check out the clerk was very friendly and the process was simple, we were able to get on our way. "Needs much upgrading"
This is really on the cheap side. Towels are small and thin. The mattress pad & bottom sheet didn't stay fixed and kept sliding around on the mattress. The 2 pillows were as small as camp pillows. The only positive was the location - right off I-80, very convenient.
"needs improvement"
Of course the good thing was the price and location. The breakfast was rather good.The bad thing was the bed went down in the middle and needed to be replaced. The 2 lites on each side of bed both were out and went I went to tell the checkin person, he said the plugs probably slipped out of the outlet and it was behind the bed. That was it no offer […] to help. I suppose I was expected to crawl under the bed and fix it. Would you believe!!!!! Over all it needed lots of updating. Mehr
