Super 8 Anderson/Clemson Area - Anderson

Only bad thing I have to say was room was very crowded and Ck your credit card before you ck out as mine was charged even after I paid thru Hotels.com

This hotel looks to have been fairly recently renovated. The couple that runs it were super nice and are working hard to turn the place around. All furniture and fixtures were new. Not as nice as a Hampton inn, but good value for the price.

We checked in around 4pm on a Friday, and everything was fine. Upon our return after dinner that night and entrance through the rear stairwell, we noticed a heavy smoke smell in the stairwell and hallways. As our room was non smoking, we thought nothing of it. Oops... After being gone all day Saturday and returning around 10pm, the smoke smell and […] cloud was overwhelming. Upon waking up Sunday morning, 3 of the 4 people in our room had trouble breathing and were coughing up stuff. It wasnt until returning home late Sunday night that my body returned to normal and I could breathe again. If it werent for the smoke, this would have been a great hotel, but unfortunately the lingering effects outweighed the otherwise positive benefits. Mehr

Room smelled like a cigarette was burning at all times....very nasty.....bed was very very hard....only decent thing was the bathtub and shower...it was clean and new.....nightclub right outside the motel....and when we went outside to leave...there were broken beer bottles scattered all in the parking lot....management was non-concerned....we we tried […] to tell them about it. Very good room in a very convenient area. Plenty of eating and shopping places nearby and within 25 minutes of Clemson University. Bed mattresses could have been a little more comfortable.

I stayed for 4 days while I worked in nearby in Clemson. The room was small, but fine for one person. There was a fridge and microwave, both of which worked great. The room was clean. For the price, I was afraid it might be run down or dirty, but for budget travel I would absolutely stay there again. Just a couple of drawbacks: There is wireless internet, […] but it seemed to fade in and out. It would work fine for a while, and then it wouldn't work at all, but would eventually come back. The bed is okay, but I would not have wanted to sleep on it for many more nights. Mehr

THE ROOM WAS O.K, REAL SMALL, 3RD FLOOR WALK UP. EVEN AFTER WE CHECKED IN WITH OUR 2 GRANDKIDS THAT WAS ON OUR RESERVATION, WE WERE CALLED AND ASKED HOW MANY CHILDREN ON THE SECOND NIGHT OF OUR STAY, LIKE WE WERE TRYING TO HIDE THEM OR SOMETHING. WOULD STAY AGAIN IF LAQUINTA IS NOT AVAILABLE NEXT DOOR.
