Everything about the hotel was pleasant and high quality. We were treated very well upon arrival and departure. Room was clean and comfortable with a very nice bathroom. Had dinner across the street at Saddle Ranch...lots of fun. Would definitely stay again.

An historic monument with all the modern amenities, room kept immaculate, staff pleasant and helpful, great position, overall a very good experience.

An interesting hotel for an interesting neighborhood. The room was really small and the cooling / heating system was very weak. On our first night they were doing some lobby work and at 2am all of a sudden our room smelled like paint and we were on the 14th floor. Luckily the windows open all the way to get ride of the smell but then we got the Sunset […] Blvd noise. Mehr

Was great, we were upgraded to the 11th floor. Only downside was we were next to the elevators but honestly it wasn't really a factor. Will stay there again

Beautiful space, excellent service, comfy beds and georgeous bathroom. Lots of Hollywood history in a classic resortored art deco treasure. Would definately come back.

I enjoyed staying at the Sunset Tower, with all its history and the fact that the room is well laid out and spacious with the most comfy bed and pillows and great linen. The pool and breakfast area was a delight, with the sun shining and a fabulous view, its definitely a draw card, the meusli and fresh fruit and yoghurt was delicious too. The Hop on […] bus stopped just a little way up the road so was very handy for anyone who wants to take in the city sights, and just a 5 minute ride to Hollywood Blvd. A great shower with plenty of space and good pressure. The only thing I found was if I had children with me I might be concerned with the stairwell and the spacing of the railing but then I am probably just a worry wort. Friendly service, clean and tidy , highest recommendation and when I got back to New Zealand I bumped into someone else who had stayed there and they felt exactly the same. Mehr

Beautiful historic hotel situated on Sunset Blvd. You walk in and are treated beautifully. The rooms are reminiscent of old Hollywood and very historic. Breakfast on the terrace is a lovely experience. All in all one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

I was in search of a VIT (vacation in town) and that is just what the Sunset Tower Hotel provided me with. I was immediately welcomed with positive energy which in my opinion is key. Everyone, from the valet to the front desk staff to the room service attendants were extremely professional and oozed of class. The beds were the most comfortable I have […] ever had in a hotel and the showers were awesome. My refrigerator wouldn't stay cold, but maybe that is because I wasn't operating it properly. The food was delicious and the pool was great. Very quiet and peaceful with a spectacular view. The Spa was incredible. I HIGHLY recommend getting some sort of treatment, or at least using the facility. Although it is rather pricey, it was totally worth it. Between the impeccable service and the old Hollywood feel that the property encompasses, It is an absolute gem in the middle of a booming city. Once inside, you almost forget you are in the middle of the Sunset Strip until you look outside and see Saddle Ranch across the street. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and again, in fact, I don't think I would stay anywhere else. Mehr

From check in to check out, we had a wonderful time. Sunset Tower Hotel was in a great location. I felt very safe and close to everything. Cabs were always outside our front door and the customer service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful in regards to directions, shopping, places to eat, and more. Our room was also very nice. I was surprised when the person checking me in asked me to initial 4 lines on my registration. When I told her that I didn't have my glasses and could she tell me what it said she told me that 1.) I could have no more than 4 people visiting my room. 2) no outside alcohol was allowed in the room 3) no smoking 4) I don't recall. I was taken aback. I hadn't […] planned on doing any of the above but since I was in an upscale hotel, I was surprised to see that they would have to have patrons sign this agreement. The reason why I chose the hotel was for the Tower Bar Restaurant. I thought it would be nice to eat there for the holiday. Unfortunately, upon entering my room there was a note on my desk saying that the restaurant would be closed for 2 days. The bed and pillows were much to soft but the room was very quiet so I slept well. On my departure, I requested change from the front desk. At no time did they inquire about my stay. They were busy discussing a VIP client who was going to stay in the penthouse suite. It was unfortunate. Mehr

the hotel was beautifully designed. the rooms have floor to ceiling windows with a great view. the amenities in the hotel, pool, spa, gym, 24hr room service- all make the hotel a good place to stay. you have to valet the car- and we went walking to find a restaurant to eat at- we walked for a bit but found a cute italian place not too far. close (2mi) […] to the hollywood walk of fame. there are a good amount of sites to see on sunset blvd around the hotel (chateau marmont). the hotel is full of history as well. only stayed one night. I just spent the week at Sunset Towers and have nothing but good things to say about my stay there. The building is an absolutely gorgeous art deco building from the 1920's with nicely designed and comfortable rooms. The place has a great style. The staff was very friendly and professional. Great location. Would be happy to stay there again.

We have stayed in this hotel twice. The second time, the price was significantly better through hotels.com, but the room was not nearly as nice.

Quiet, beautifully revamped glamorous property from the 1930s. To me, the ideal place when in LA.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. I ended up extending my stay... twice. I procured a room with a queen bed. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious. The hotel staff takes the term "concierge" to a new level. They did everything from delivering faxes to my room to booking restaurant reservations for me. It seems to me […] that they also make it a point to know you by name, and address you as such throughout your stay... Very personable. The Tower Bar is great (food, drinks, people watching) as is the Terrace Room on the pool deck with sweeping views of the city. The hotel does everything to put privacy first, too. i.e. no cameras in the bars/restaurants. Oh yeah, 24-hr room service... I'd highly recommend the Tower burger with brie! Nicely done Sunset Tower. I've stayed at Sunset Tower 4 times now and everytime I am incredibly satisfied. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff more than accommodating, the location is in the middle of everything and best of all the scene is quiet, no nightclub, no pounding music. It is serene and sophisticated.

Great location. Not a silly boonbox like The Standard or The Mondrian. A real hotel, which is serious about being a hotel. They do just that and they do it well. If you want some old-school Hollywood class go there.

This was a great LA hotel experience with superior and friendly service, in a very classy place with a great pool and the swankiest bar in town.

Hotels.com has a 40% off summer sale and decided to stay here. Everything was wonderful, would definitely stay here again. I guess the only negative thing that I would have to say is the pool area was closed 4 of the 7 nights we were there for events.

The rooms were nice and the bed was comfy, the pillows were too fancy if there's such a thing. Just would've like a normal standard pillow! Over $30 for parking is way over priced, but i knew it was that much before my reservation which lightened the blow at check out time. Everything was nice just too much for me for what i got. The hotel has a long history and was once the St. James Club, and the Argyle. New owners Jeff Klein and John Goldwyn have restored its Hollywood glamor. The spa is excellent; the rooms beautiful, and the food outstanding. The staff is young, and perhaps a bit inexperienced but they have a great attitude and a welcoming spirit. The good: Room was great, hotel very nice, front desk staff very professional as was the valet/bell staff. Loved The Terrace restaurant for lunch, great atmosphere. However, it was understaffed as they support the pool as well. The staff was very nice and accomodating just needed more help. Not great: Pool was nice but small however, needed a little […] more upkeep which goes back to being understaffed. Dinner at The Tower Bar was nice but I feel a little overrated. It is romantic especially the small banquets for 2 against the window. Drinks were good but very expensive. Mehr

The hotel was very clean, and the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to help us with anything and everything we needed. Rooms are a little small and it was a bit of an older crowd there, but overall it was great.

Everytime I we are in LA we stay at the Sunset Tower Hotel. The staff is always very nice and helpful. The room is always nice and fresh. The view is great. Location is just perfect. I would recomend this hotel to anyone that wants to getaway from it all but still be right in the middle of the action.

Bel endroit Art Déco. L'Hotel semble surtout dédié aux fêtes hollywoodienne qu'au tourisme, a fortiori international. Beaucoup de confusions au front desk. Belles suites et emplacement idéal à Los Angeles. Je recommande mais avec une certaine réserve et prudence.

Great service, clean and comfortable rooms, good location with nice restaurants, bars and clubs. Most of the days the swimming pool could not be used after 5p.m. due to private events taking place.
