very comfy bed for the price an within walking distance to sea world....and food and shopping!!!

This hotel is conveniently located near Ocean and Mission Beach (Sea World too). There is a bus stop across the street so you don't have to drive down to the beaches for hanging out or going to local clubs. We came down here to see our friends' band at one of the local venues and it was literally only 15 min away. All you really need. A place to sleep and shower. It was nice that wi-fi was included, even if it was kind of slow. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. You cannot beat the value!

My room smelled like moth balls, BO and urine. The bathroom light wiould come on everytime i went into the bathroom which sucked at 3 am and would turn off after 10min of showering leaving me in the dark. Bed was uncomfortable. Hotel was clean but smelled. Decent funrniture and loaction. Friendly desk.

We were looking for a place to stay near Mission Beach, which it was. That was positive. However, the carpet was stained and extremely musty smelling! The housekeepers are to blame for the bathroom looking like it wasn't cleaned properly. We found pieces of hair underneath the bed covers. The worst was the fact that we checked out in the middle of the […] night because we were being bit by bed bugs! Very disappointing, unkept hotel. The positive: the night auditor was very accommodating, kind, and understanding and assured us that we would receive a refund, which we did. Mehr

My husband and I were traveling from Vegas after just getting married and he had never seen the beach before so we decided to drive down to San Diego before heading back to Tucson. We just picked what seemed closest to the beach and things to do without breaking the bank. Everything is within 10 minutes of this hotel, you've got Sea World, Mission Beach, […] Old Town.... all very close. Although of course the hotel isn't a 5 star place, it's great if you're just passing through without breaking the bank.... remember, who really stays in the hotel besides sleeping? No Bugs, and it was a little noisy out, but not a problem. There are plenty of pamphlets in the hotel office with everything nearby, also the young lady we spoke with about what's around was VERY helpful!!! She gave us plenty of stuff to do from the time we got there (8 at night) and also what would be fun to do the next day. She was sweet. The breakfast the next morning was okay. Bagels, eggos and cereal... pretty basic stuff. Enough to get you started for the day. There was a microwave and toaster to heat them up though. For us, we'd love to go back to San Diego, but the hotel was just easy to stay for the night. Next time it will be a better planned trip and it might not include this hotel. Mehr

The hotel is located close to Seaworld, you can take bus no. 9 just couple blocks from hotel. Quality of hotel is OK, a little bit noisy, close to main road.

I had two nights paid for and they added an additional charge on the second night.

The door never close all the way. loud noise coming from outside with no security to keep quite while people sleep.

If you don't mind the traffic noise and late night sirems from passing fire trucks, police cars and fireworks sounds then this place is very strategic, close to all ammenities ;)

This hotel was in a great location (close to highways and Old Town and the Zoo) and a great price. We really enjoyed the stay here, the room (except the carpet) was clean and lots of lotions/samples were given to you. The breakfast was great (bagels/cereal/fruit/muffins) more than enough, and plenty to make a snack with for later. Front staff was friendly […] and very helpful. Mehr

We were overall very happy with this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and fairly recently renovated, and the building looked freshly painted. The beds and pillows were well above the quality I usually expect in a hotel, breakfast was a nice perk, and we liked the location close to Sea World, Mission Beach and Ocean Beach. […] Everything we wanted to see in San Diego was within a 10 minute drive. Our one complaint was the shower. At 5' 4", I'm not used to having to bend my knees and duck my head to get under the shower head. My 6' 3" husband found the water hit the bottom of his rib cage...seriously. The floor of our shower was also extremely uneven, as though the new shower surround had been laid over a poorly jackhammered concrete pad--however the floor of the shower in our second room was fine, though the shower head height was just as bad. This is clearly a remodeling miss that will bother a lot of people who stay here. Mehr

pleased with the hotel. very convenient location right off the freeway, close to sea world and beaches, plenty of restaurants close by including a couple that's open 24hrs. management was very nice and helpful. only dislike was the room was pretty small. good deal overall and would return and would recommend to somebody.

I selected the Ramada Inn Limited Sea World for its price and location. Both of these are excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel is not in good shape. The chain lock on the inside of my door was broken and there was a general air of shabbiness to the place. However, as I was only sleeping there at night, it fit my needs perfectly. […] It was a great deal, but I would hesitate to stay there with my family. Perfect place for a cheap business trip. Mehr

Ramada Limited Sea World had everything you need for a reasonable price. Ramada was in a busier area but was very convenient; it was 5 minutes from Sea World, 10 minutes from Ocean Beach, and 15 minutes from the zoo. There were plenty of fast food and sit down restaurants nearby within walking distance or a short drive. A grocery store was around the […] corner and Target was one street over. The hotel room was very clean, it looked like the room has been remodeled within the last few years, and maid service was good. Mattresses were definitely newer and firm, so we all slept very well. The continental breakfast area was small, but they had a nice balcony outside to use; breakfast had coffee, juice, fruit, frozen waffles, toast, and pastries. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful; they were able to recommend good area restaurants besides your chain family restaurants that I hate. We traveled with small children and drove an oversize pickup truck; parking was tight, but we fit. We would stay there again. Mehr

Repeated attempts to keep noise down. Unwillingness of management to work with Hotels.com after incidents.

This motel is quite a dump and we were definitely disappointed.

Our room (non-smoking) had the foulest odour. Lucky I carry a bottle of room freshner, it helped. Also the air conditioner was missing from our wall and no attempt had been made to seal up the area. With only the slatted vent seperating us from the carpark it was like having an open window all night and the hotel was full which mean it was quite busy. […] Wouldnt stay there again. Mehr

The hotel is located conveniently by the freeways and close to get to downtown and the beaches. The tenperature of the room was either too cold or too hot. We were not able to get the room a good temperature and smelled like an old stale smell of smoke even though the room was "non-smoking". The walls are super thin and you can hear the neighbors in […] the room next to you talk softly. The bathroom might have just been this particular room but the handle to the bathtub/shower almost came off as we attempted to turn it on. The bed was too firm that it can cause you back pain. You don't get quite the comfort for what you pay. If you are looking for the convenience aspect this is it. Mehr

comfortable & close to beach.

The pictures are very deceiving of this hotel. The rooms are very small and very dated, Felt like I was back in the 50's. Rugs were very dirty and the air wall unit was very loud. Thankfully we only booked it for 1 night and got in the room late at night and out early the next morning. The price wasn't even good, we paid enough that for about 10 dollars […] more could have stayed at a much nicer place. I thought the Ramada had a good reputation, not any more. don't waste your time. My stay was pleasant given the modest price relative to other hotels in the area. The accommodations were pretty modest but so was the price.

We were a bit worried given the good price and nearby establishments, but we were very pleased overall. Staff was great, breakfast was good and location was excellent for beach access and access to seaworld. would reccomend.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the location is convenient. There is a direct bus to Sea World and the bus stop is less than 200 meters away. The bus stop also have services to the old town and the bay area. Although we drove but the bus services allows us to stop and see more things. The only thing is that the room has a woody smell probably […] because the hotel is quite old. Mehr

The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is the construction going on in the parking lot during our stay. The parking lot is a very small, horseshoe style (one way in, one way out) kind of area and we were woken by jackhammers at 8am. We were not given any warning that they would be performing the work. The continental breakfast was VERY […] fresh, all bagels, muffins, and bread were soft. Even the milk for the cereal was cold. That impressed me considering we ate late that morning and I thought it would be warm sitting out all morning, but it was nice. The staff was VERY friendly. No one seemed to hate their job like most hotel counter staff. They were knowledgable on the area for things to do and how to get there. Mehr

Bed wasn't comfortable and the room had a musky smell to it, even after I sprayed lysol the smell would come back. Charged $5 a night for parking plus a deposit that they told me about @ check in and breakfast was not good. Good prices, great location but I probly won't stay there again.

Overall this motel was adequate. No frills, clean but a bit worn. What you would expect for an economy type room. I would stay again.

I would never stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone! From the minute we arrived there was a lady walking around the grounds who looked intoxicated. The 2 days we stayed saw lots of homeless people walking around, people hollaring, neighborhood in the Ghetto! After check in went to the room and smelled musty and just didnt feel like it […] was clean (wouldnt walk barefoot). when it came time to take a shower no hot water from the bath. Called office they sent someone to check it they could not get it to work so they gave us the room next door to use as needed. That was ok if thats what needed to be until they fixed our shower. Day 2- time to take a shower still no hot water! went to use the room the manager promised us and they rented it to someone with all my shampoos along with it. So the manager wanted to give me another room down the hall. I was frustrated and tired not to mention we had to wake up to a bunch of drilling in the concrete, I was done with all the nastiness! We got the heck out of there. Manager promised me a credit have not seen anything yet! Mehr

The front office was not friendly. There was hair all over the pillows and sheets. Banging occurred in the early morning. Airport was too close.

Near Sea World, yes. Pleaseant stay, no. Hotel in need of renovation and clean up. Towels and bed wear feels like they been uesd for a long time.
