Wie der Name bereits vermuten lässt, ist College Park eine College-Stadt. Die meisten Einwohner sind auf die eine oder andere Weise mit der University of Maryland verbunden. Der Universitätscampus wird von den Backsteinbauten aus der Kolonialzeit geprägt und erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von fünf Quadratkilometern sanften Grüns. Das in der Nähe gelegene College Park Aviation Museum befindet sich auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Militärflugschule von Wilbur Wright. In der örtlichen Niederlassung des Nationalarchivs sind Unterlagen aus der Präsidentschaftszeit von Richard Nixon zu sehen.

Gutes Hotel, zur Stadtbesichtigung nur bedingt geeignet. Auto ist ein muss, da die Innenstadt ca. 15 Meilen entfernt ist. Der Gang über den Flur macht etwas Angst, aber das Zimmer war wirklich in Ordnung. Für den günstigen Preis hat man ein sehr gutes Zimmer. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer sehr stark befahren Straße, hat zwar einen Außenpool, der aber sehr klein ist und ebenfalls unmittelbar an bewusste Straße grenzt. Außerdem ist für die Einnahme des Frühstücks kein Raum vorhanden, d.h. es muss - wenn die 6 Stühlchen vor der Rezeption bestezt siond - im Stehen eingenommen werden.... Do not stay in the semi detached rooms away from the main building, noise from Main Street could be annoying. I don't really have anything bad to say about the hotel, other than it took 10 minutes for my water to heat up. Also, the breakfast was trash. "All I ask is clean sheets"
Our room had not been cleaned. When I came in at 10 pm I found the sheets covered with makeup and hairs. Guy at the front desk was useless. First he brought me sheets, but no pillow cases, then pillow cases, then I found that the sheets were the wrong size. Took an hour of going back and forth and yelling before I finally got sheets. But I guess the […] blanket was still dirty. The hotel itself is run down - the sliding door to the balcony didn't open more than an inch, they ran an ugly pipe for sprinklers right through the wall with no attempt to finish it. But honestly, if not for the fiasco about the room, I would have been perfectly fine with all that. There are many cheap hotels within sight of this one - I can't say if any are better or worse. We stayed at this hotel for four nights. Three of those nights we sat awake listening to the room next to us playing very loud video games. This stay was in transition to moving into the area. Although we did not see any cockroaches in the hotel, when we got to our new apartment and started unpacking, two cockroaches were found crawling out of one of […] our clothes bags. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. I did not like having to walk outdoors and across the parking lot to reach the office, ice and vending machines. Our key cards had to be reactivated every night. Perhaps they were deactivated by the number of scanners we were exposed to in D. "A nice place to stay."
The rooms were very clean, and all linens seemed to be high quality. Slept very well on the bed and they did a nice job everyday on cleaning the room. Used the WIFI in the room to include the mini frig and our room had an iron/board, coffee maker, hair dryer and microwave and we also had the contenental breakfast which also had warm sausage biscuits. "Clean, yes, just not special"
A friend said it best. The room was clean, they just didn't use Tide. The place is old, the breakfast bar i too small, and the area is in transition. With that said it really isn't bad. The AC unit was easy to use, just old. The shower was large and clean, just old. For the money i have been in better places and i had no desire to stay on the grounds, […] even though a lot of ppl did seam to like the pool. I didn't use it myself. "A good night's rest."
We were not there very long, checked in after 10 P.M. had to be back on the road by 6:30 A.M., but we thought our room was clean, nice and cool, the beds were comfortable. We were very pleased. We would stay again if we were in the area.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung
