The front desk had a difficult time finding our reservation through hotels.com. The room had an unpleasent smell when we walked in. There were people that were very loud well into the night. Sounds as if they were partying well into the night. Room was very small. Won't stay there again.

Came to Santa Clara for daughters water polo tournament at Santa Clara University. Made the reservation on hotels dot com 30 minutes prior to check-in on a Saturday afternoon and got a great room. comfortable beds, clean, peaceful surroundings, friendly staff, secure parking. Easy back and forth to SCU.

The breakfast was not very good and overall seemed droopy

clean room, appeared to be recently updated. quiet - no traffic noise; no airport noise. convenient location to downtown San Jose. reasonably priced. I'd stay again.

It is a very good place for short stay. Location is great for reasonable price. Highly recommend

Ground floor very convenient. Continental breakfast nicely served and friendly reception.

overall the stay was great. the only thing i didn't like was that the bed sheets made my skin itchy.

The first impression we had of the Ramada was of a cop arresting one of the motel's guests. It just got worse from there. Although we requested a non-smoking room, cigarette smoke permeated the premises (my clothes still smell of cigarettes). Additionally, we had to unplug the refrigerator because it was making so much noise that we couldn't sleep. […] The room seemed dark and dirty, and the staff was unfriendly. Nice motel. Should inform guests that motel is being renovated, and there was no pool or jacuzzi. That would have been nice to know.

The location of this hotel was good, the price was great. The pool was closed due to being drained and apparently the people at the front desk did not know this because when I asked they told me that it was open. The environment and room and housekeeping were good for the price. The only issue I had was that the carpet in the room was FILTHY DIRTY. […] It is black carpet so it doesn't look dirty but we could NOT walk in our bare feet or they were BLACK!! We even had to clean off our flip flops after putting them on once we realized this. The breakfast was the usual for an inexpensive hotel but even when we woke up 10 minutes before the end and got there the employee was very helpful and got us what we needed. Oh, and the parking is a bit strange, there is ample parking but it seems that they allow some work trucks to park there at night. During the day the lot is empty but in the evening it is packed full of work trucks. I experienced this at this visit as well as the last time I stayed here approximately 18 months back. Located close to Santa Clara University. Non smoking rooms were booked so had to take a smoking room. It was OK. Smokers seem to go outside? Staff was helpful and friendly. Only disappointment was that the water in the pool was cold. (The weather had been unseasonably cool)

Shortly after checking-in, had to have maintenance come to snake toilet and remove blockage. Had to repeat this again the next day. Also had them replace clock/radio because alarm would not function. All staff was personable and helpful (front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping). The whole property needs some updating/ remodeling. 2Q n/s room was very […] "cozy", especially the bathroom, closet, microwave, fridge, coffee maker area - all this fits on a postage stamp. Anything coming in contact with the carpet turned black. Leaky sink faucet when on. Had my husband kill 2 cockroaches during our 3-day stay. Breakfast OK but not impressive: Dry cereals & milk, coffees, OJ & apple juice machine, bagels, some muffins, breads (and toaster). Some whole apples and very very ripe bananas. Mehr

Its a nice hotel in very reasonable price. rooms are nice. Close to lot of offices in the Santa Clara area. The only problem i have with this hotel is the internet. I need the internet because i join meetings online but internet never works.

We had stayed 4 days a few weeks earlier - we got a room that was in good condition, clean sheets and mattress etc. However, on the next stay we were put in the unit allll the way in the back of the hotel by housekeeping. This room had a busted microwave, the mini fridge was really dirty and there was mold in the bathroom. Yuck! Just our luck, I booked […] a 7 night stay and the hotel was sold out to a huge group and we couldnt move into another room. Too bad - would have liked to recommend but I just cant do it! Mehr

Good location for the tourist attractions. Very quiet. The lobby staff was helpful. We would stay here again. The beds were comfortable. Everything was in good working order. Great value.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was pleasant. The only complaint that I have about this hotel is that the wireless connection was extremely slow. Slow enough that it would eventually time out the web browser. It was very inconvenient.

Was in town for 3 days visiting family and wanted a conveniently located spot to use as a home base. The ramada exceeded my expectations on all levels. Cleanliness,convenience and value with a friendly staff. I have found my go to spot when visiting friends and family in santa clara.

Nice rooms. Clean. Ok area !

I was very delighted with my stay. The room was clean and fresh. The bathroom window could open and everything in the room was very efficient. Good placement of outlets and lighting.

we were totally blown away. everything about this motel exceeded our expectations. Very clean, bed are super comfortable. great location. best deal ever.

Much better than expected! Most of the room had been renovated recently - upscale furniture and lighting, flat screen TV, very comfortable beds triple-sheeted, new carpeting and tile, good tub & shower, newer frig & microwave. The heating & a/c both worked well but are 60s vintage. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Easy to get to, good parking, nice rooms, seems new and clean.

These days, it's normal to expect you'll have decent Internet access when I stay at a nationally recognized hotel. However, the Internet service here is so bad it's useless. I couldn't even check email reliably. It was *much* slower than dialup most of the time. I waited two minutes for a single message to load, with only a couple of small images. […] I was supposed to watch a training video but the service was so poor I ended up having to watch it on my phone. When I stopped by during the afternoon, the service was (barely) usable, but from 6 pm until at least midnight the Internet was literally useless. Their browser-based Internet login system is also very clunky and not at all friendly, but I believe the real problem is they don't pay for more than a small fraction of the bandwidth required for the number of rooms they have. This hotel shouldn't claim they have high-speed Internet. They don't. Mehr

I found this hotel and chose it because hotels in the bay area are not cheap and this place was towards the low end price wise. After reading reviews and seeing pictures I figured it would be an ok place to stay. I've stayed place before and normally the pictures online are not what you get. This place however was the complete opposite. These rooms […] are soooo nice especially for the value. Large king size beds, flat screen tvs, microwave and fridge in every room. And the staff and housekeeping was great. I'm not in the bay very often but I will be staying at this hotel every time from now on. Mehr

One day the top sheet had some sort of stain, but it was changed the next day. The room was clean for the most part and the bed was very comfortable. The bottom of the bathroom door was not hinged and kept dragging each time the door was opened and closed.

This was the best hotel on our vacation. If I had any negatives about the place it would be that it didn't have the traditional waffle machine for breakfast. The fridge and microwave were handy. The front attendant was helpful in recomending places to eat when I asked. Didn't try the pool because we were always out sightseeing but it looked so invi […] ting. Mehr
