Morrison - Dublin

Ich war vor 4 Jahren im Morrison und war total begeistert, leider ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen, was man leider den Hotelzimmern an allen Ecken und Enden ansieht. Es ist zwar noch ein guter Standard, aber begeistern tut es bei weitem nicht mehr.

Das Morrisson in Dublin liegt direkt am Liffey, also extrem zentral, die Ausgehmeile Temple Bar direkt gegenüber. Die Einkaufsstrassen sind sehr gut erreichbar. Ausserdem waren unsere Zimmer nach "hinten" raus und sehr ruhig. Hatte Probleme mit dem Safe - innert Minuten war das Problem gelöst - sehr gute Betreuung. Sehr sehr freundlich !! Hotelhalle […] imposant, sehr stylisch, Zimmer sehr sauber, aber die Spuren der Abnützung sind sichtbar. jedoch sehr sauber. Kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Mehr

Das Hotel hat ein sehr kunstvolles und stylishes Interieur und ist zentral vis à vis des Temple Bar Quartiers gelegen. Der Empfang ist hervorragend und gibt gute Tips für Restaurants.

Ausgezeichnetes Hotel für eine Kurzvisite von Dublins Innenstadt, alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten in unmittelbarer Umgebung, incl. Pubs und Einkaufsstraßen. Trotzdem ruhig und schön frei am Fluss liegend. Stark designermässig, optisch kühl im Geasamteindruck und bis ins Detail durchkonzipiert. Excellent Stay overall. We flew in early in the morning and they were able to check us in early so we could rest after a long flight. Staff were friendly, prompt and helpful. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Initially I was hoping for a room with a street / Liffey view, but a view of the courtyard was fine, as it was quiet at night. Room was as expected […] when we booked online; non-smoking with double bed. Unbeatable location, we could walk to everything. Will stay here again Mehr

I love the Morrison Hotel, and have loved it for years. The ambience, the location. However, it is now in need of a revamp or at least a recondition. The woodwork, the TV's, The Bathroom tiles - all need looking at. The room was also very dusty. I also think they should extend the free wifi to all rooms and not just publin areas

Room was nice, but "overdesigned". Sink was not practical and airco was not identified as such until we left. Location is excellent. Only drawback was the bad taste of the water.

The hotel is very well located in the northern part of the city, short walking distance to Connolly street, Temple Bar where nightlife happens. Very adequate for shopping. The hotel is very modern, with comfortable room and good size bathroom, but mattress was a little bit lumpy, it's time to be replaced.

The entire floor of my hotel smelled like smoke. Someone had been smoking in one of the rooms and I could smell it through the vents. I had previously changed rooms, but the hotel did not investigate the source of the odor. When they placed me in another room on the same floor I was too exhausted to change again, as I had come in for a short trip. Good location. We had stayed there about 10 years ago when it was quite new. Friends arrived by train and were able to get the Luas tram straight to the back of the hotel. We drove and parked at a discounted rate in the public car park next door. Hotel decor remains modern. Staff welcoming. Rooms fairly standard, but clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful day in Dublin. The location of the Morrison was excellent being across the channel from the Temple Bar and the many other interesting sites in Dublin. We could walk to Trinity College. Great location if you only have a day in Dublin and want to see a lot without having to use the buses and cabs.

Hotel room was initially very warm and the air conditioning could not be reset. I spoke to reception and they had us moved immediately to a bigger more comfortable room. Really good service.

Hotel is in a great location and is sill impressive, however the bedroom wasn't great - poor natural light and uncomfortable working space and bad, Nice to have free wif-fi! And the staff were excellent.

Room was a bit small, but comfortable. Toilet wasnt easy to flush, had a 'push' button built into the wall, really didnt work right, had to be pushed with just the right amount of force and speed. Otherwise the proximity to Temple Bar without all the noise was a plus.

Very good deal for 2 night stay. Not quite sure it makes 4* as room was a little substandard, although perfectly clean. Lamps and side tables a little shabby. Great location, super for restaurants, bars and shopping.. Will definitely revisit if the price is right.

For a four star hotel I found that the rooms were a little bit basic. Couldn't work the AC windows wouldn't open. Located in a room were noise was quiet loud. It was a a twin bedroom and the bed I slept in made loads of noise and was very creaky. The service was also lacking, waited for over 15 mins for a drink at the bar and when the bar staff remembered […] she said those drinks would be on the house, but when we went to check out that wasn't the case and it caused quite a bit of embarrassed as it looked like we were trying to rob drinks. Overall location was amazing but I wouldn't rate it as a four star. Mehr

Best feature is the hotel's location - very convenient to go to the main tourist areas. Everything is within walking distance. Also close to a large shopping center and nice restaurants (we like Bar Italia just around the corner). If you don't fancy breakfast at the hotel there's a good little cafe next to the hotel. I also like the hotel's interior, […] the lobby & foyers are well designed. The room is simpler but still tasteful and has all the amenities you need (including an umbrella!) Great location! Just north if Liffey river. Everything is in walking distance, without the loudness of Temple Bar Area.

Great location, short walk to Temple Bar and many Dublin attractions. I used the fitness center and found it was clean and easily accessible. Overall the hotel was very good and I would stay again if given the opportunity.

Can't beat the location. The hotel is a designers dream tho it's now showing its age and its financial struggles. Silly things like cheap cushions on the seats in the bar and broken locks on the bedroom windows. Happy to recommend but don't pay over the odds.

This hotel was fine, especially for the price. No wireless (which I find odd in this day and age) and the LAN in our room wasn't working. Little close to Temple Bar, so we heard the revellers clearly at 3am. These are minor complaints, very nice hotel and reasonably good service along with quite nice rooms.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Just 200 m to the Tempel district. Nice room but some minor undone repairs gives the hotel just **** stars

This hotel was in the perfect location! The Ha'Penny Bridge is literally right down the street and once you cross you are on Temple Bar. Lots of cafes and such as it is on a main street. It is right on the river although we did not get a room with a view. The room was clean and the hotel looked pretty high end when we first walked in. We had a great weekend at this hotel. It was my first time to stay there and definitely not my last. The staff were nice, discreet and efficient. This was a very pleasant place to stay. If you want to be near the bustle of Temple Bar - but not kept awake by it - this is the place for you... Cross the bridge & you're there. Location was fantastic for easy access of everywhere. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was pretty quiet during the three nights we stayed. Worth checking out.

This place was amazing. The only thing I have to say bad about it is the water in the bath tub. The water started out clear then would change to a mud color then clear again, the muddy again.

we've stayed for one night and really enjoyed the hotel. our original room's toilet was a bit dirty, but after calling the reception we got a new room, which was a lot better. this executive room had all the facilities i would expect including an iPhone doc. breakfast was great. the hotel is designed beautifully.

The Morrison hotel is only a two minute walk to the Luas- 35 minutes to the Red Cow parking and quick access to major roads. Museums and cafes and shops all neayby.

Good location but over priced

Very comfortable well designed hotel conveniently located for dublin city centre would recommend for anyone visiting dublin

1st and 2nd floor rooms are not v nice. 4th is better, but i have only been given this once in all my stays, after i complained one week. the rooms are very dark so not good for business use. I have to ask for additional items such as shower caps etc, as these are not provided. chef is very nice -and will change the menu for you location good for […] temple bar and financial district. walking distance. no wifi in room so have to use computer at desk temperature - rooms are freezing even when heating is on full. We spent 2 nights at the hotel for New Year and cannot recommend it enough. It's in an ideal place for sightseeing - just over the bridge from all the main attractions and everything we wanted was within walking distance. The service was great, everyone was welcoming and helpful. The food available all day was varied and reasonably priced (in relation […] to the rest of Dublin), and there's a nice little cafe next door too if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, meaning we got a good night's sleep. Fantastic shower! The hotel has a very nice atmosphere, and we would definitely book at The Morrison again. i did not get a good night's sleep due to the heating. I am not used to it being so hot and could not open a window to let some air in

Hotel was fine, nice, comfortable. I was a bit disappointed with the room as it was very small. The breakfast was not worth the price either. The staff were lovely though

I spent two nights here. It's in an excellent location for walking to see the sights and visiting Temple Bar. The hotel is comfortable, has a nice bar downstairs and the staff is friendly. I'd highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a fab location, just over the bridge from temple bar, close enough to be within stumbling distance from all of the lively goings on but far enough out to not be overcome by the noise. Rate was reasonable, a good value. Room was comfortable, nice beds, clean bathroom with tub. Location is ideal. On the Liffey River just a short walk to Temple Bar, Trinity College, Dublin Castle. St. Patricks Cathedral is not too far away. Tram stops are nearby. Breakfast in the hotel is very good. No charge for WiFi Internet access. Employees at hotel […] desk were kind and helpful. Passed this building half a dozen times while staying in Dublin without realizing that it is a hotel. Right on the river and main roadway with the entrance on a side street. Nice room but too expensive for the area.
