Marriott University Park - Salt Lake City

unmittelbarer Nähe des Campus der University of Utah, was für mich wichtig war. Man ist aber auch über den Foothill Drive schnell auf der Autobahn oder mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln im Zentrum von SLC. I stayed at this hotel four years ago and was so impressed that I decided to revisit for my latest visit. I unfortunately forgot to mentally account for the fact that four years is a long time for a hotel. The rooms were nice (not as nice as I remembered) but on the lower end of quality for the chain in my opinion. The breakfast is great if you do the […] "stay for breakfast package" it's definitely worth the extra 10 or so dollars! I loved the location; it's just off an arterial street that can get you down town quickly or to other activities. I hope they give this hotel a facelift, but I would recommend it and stay here again nonetheless. Mehr

While not too far from busy downtown Salt Lake City, this hotel provides a quiet, more neighborhood environment adjacent to the University of Utah campus. Within walking distance to the "Neighborhood Bakery" which is a great spot for an amazing breakfast or lunch. The hotel reception staff were very friendly, professional, and accommodating. They provided us with maps and suggestions for great restraunts and shuttle services.

Always my favorite fpr SLC, close to the UofU , foothills and my family.

The hotel was great other than the pool. My kids were looking forward to swimming but the pool is more of a lap pool so it's 3 1/2 ft to 6 ft and my kids are all 6 and under so they could only swim on the very edge which was a big disappointment. Other than that it was nice.

Not the newest hotel, but good. The staff was very friendly. The beds are outstandingly comfortable!

The hotel was excellent. The room was of sufficient size and was very clean. The voucher for the breakfast for 2 was excellent because the breakfast, although buffet, was a full hot and cold breakfast.

I was very happy with this stay overall. The room was very clean, the bed was awesome I loved it and slept very good. The restaurant was not all that great, it has a limited menu and was high priced for the result but was not a problem as we ate at other restaurants anyway. I did not like the $9.95 a day internet I am too used to the hotels that actually […] give it to you for staying with them. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would absolutely stay here again if I am in the neighborhood again!! Mehr

The Hotel is located in a nice part of the city and the U of Utah campus. The staff was very helpful and courtesy. Room was nice and clean; bed was very comfortable. Food was great.

Great rates, location and property, very comfortable and great buffet breakfast.

No flat screens, hotel very dated ! Healthclub light fixtures have flies everywhere. Bfast buffet ok, frozen oj etc etc. Jacuzzi not hot. A lot of junk on hotel grounds !

The hotel functioned well for the most part. The room was fine and well maintained. They did not clean our room one day by mistake, and gave us vouchers for breakfast. The service in the restaurant was very slow for breakfast on a weekday, so they gave us a voucher for internet ($10 value). We did not complain about the internet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Only complaint is the quality of the towels. They were old and hard and felt more like sandpaper than the towels we've enjoyed at most Marriott hotels.

Excellent property, what I've come to expect from Marriott, about 10 minutes from downtown by car. The breakfast buffet on the weekend is worth paying a few dollars extra if that option is available, it was $13/person on the menu.

This was a nice hotel. The only problem is that there was no microwave or fridge.

Nice hotel close to University of Utah. front desk clerk accommodated us for early check-in after some prompting and reasoning. No free in room internet. Clean rooms but several miles from downtown SLC and restaurants, night clubs, and the like.

Great service and cleanliness. We had to ask three times to get extra towels. But overall great stay!

In this day and age, I think a hotel like this, serving the University community, should have free - really free - WIFI. This hotel charges $10 a day for this.

Good property. No problems.

This Marriott is very nice. We wanted to stay within walking distance of the Red Butte Garden so we would not have to deal with parking after seeing a concert there. It worked out great! Also, Salt Lake is not a huge city, and we could leave the hotel and be downtown (by car) within 4 minutes. The Hotel was short of double bed rooms when I asked to be changed they mentioned 20 + rooms had already requested double beds so if you need two beds this Hotel is NOT for you! We were also shorted towels. Not sure how a request for 3 adults equaled 1 bed and two towels but that's what we got.

I have stayed at the Marriott University Park twice recently. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to be close to the University or Hospital facilities. Very conveniently located, nice staff, clean comfortable rooms.

We had a great view of the mountains and the bed was very soft and comfortable.

Nice hotel. neat location. Service was..ok..not usual Marriott standard. They put us on floor #7 which requires a key to go to so we thought we were in luxury. Room was nice, bathroom a bit small but the single biggest complaint was the fact that our room was so noisy. Why? The canyon wind. If I do stay here again, I would recommend asking for a room […] that doesn't sound like the wind is going to blow it down. They need to do some updating on that in order to sound proof. Otherwise, pool was great--get the breakfast included rate--totally worth is. Mehr

I was a guest for 11 days - a most pleasant experience in every way...friendly, courteous staff...The only glitches had to do with the business center computers that were out of service X2 for a total of about 4 days, and a pool malfunction that resulted in draining of the pool...

surprisingly personable and helpful at with room and shuttle transport to the University destination.

The room was beautifully decorated and was extremely clean and effecient. Downstairs is a restaurant and buffet. The food was excellent. The staff all around is there to please. Our experience with the Marriott was wonderful. We highly recomment it!

The room was dirty my 4 year old granddaughter found a pill on the floor. There was pretzels crushed on the floor. The mirror look like it had not been cleaned. For what we paid you would think you would get a free continental breakfast. I will not stay at this place again.
