Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfreich. Das Zimmer war sauber mit extra abgetrennten Bad und Duschmöglichkeit in der Wanne. Die Übernachtung war inkl. Frühstück. Entgegen vorheriger Bewertungen war es ausgiebig. Man konnte wählen zwischen, Muffin, Beagles, Toast mit Toaster, Waffeln zum selber machen, Obstauswahl, genügent Aufstrich wie versch. Marmeladen und Sirup, zwei versch. Kaffesorten (normal und entkoffeniert) und Saft aus dem Automaten. Alles als free refill. Wer eine Stadtrundfahrt machen möchte kann sich an der Rezeption melden. Von dort kann eine Stadtrundfahrt mit Abholung vom Hotel organisert werden. Also besser geht es gr nicht. Ich kann nur jeden dieses Hotel empfehlen. Würde jederzeit sofort doert wieder übernachten. Volle Punktzahl. Einziger kleiner Abstrich ist die örtl. Umgebung. Auf den ersten Blick sieht die Umgebung etwas ungemütlich aus, aber wenn man daran denkt, das es nicht gerade die Innenstadt ist geht es in Ordnung. Ca. 5 Min Fußweg gibt es zwei Fastfood Restaurants und genau gegenüber ist ein großer (mexikanischer) Supermarkt. Alles in ereichbarer Nähe.

Ich war mit einem Bekannten für 7 Tage in dem Motel. Sehr netter Empfang. Absolut problemlos. Erster Eindruck wurde während des gesamten Aufenthaltes bestätigt. Frühstück mit frischen warmen Haferflocken, frisches Rührei, gekochte Eier, Waffeln zum selbstbacken, Müsli, Säfte, Obst, Kaffee, Tee, ... -kurzum, für amerikanische Motelverhältnisse absolut super und ausreichend. Das richtige für den Start in den Tag. Lage: ca. 15 Minuten Fussmarsch zum Venicebeach, 5 Minuten zum Hafen von Marina, 15 Minuten zum Harleyverleih am Lincoln- Boulevard, Tiefgaragenparkplätze kostenlos, Zimmer sauber und frisch renoviert -unseres zumindest- Personal immer freundlich, kleiner Pool und Spa zur Erfrischung/ Entspannung, Innenhof mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und Gaskamin, für uns jederzeit wieder 1. Wahl für L.A. Aufenthalte!!!!!!!!!

Das Hotel befindet sich in Burbank, nicht weit weg von den Universalstudios. Die Zimmer sind sehr gepflegt und ruhig. Auch die Straßenverbindung ist ideal. Man ist nicht weit weg vom Highway. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und ein Donut Prince. Hier haben wir die besten Donuts gegessen und den besten Kaffee getrunken. […] Ein Besuch lohnt sich. "Gutes Motel in einer sicheren Gegend"
Waren 5 Nächte in Safari Inn, es ist ein 3 *** Motel, in einer sicheren und ruhigen Gegend. Am Abend die Gegend anschauen kein Problem. Bus Haltestelle vor dem Motel, für 1,25 USD fährt Sie in die Stadt und bringt Sie zu U-Bahn Station, von der mann überall hin kann. Bus fährt alle 1/2 bis 1 std. Fahrplann im Bus mitnehmen. Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gerreinigt, […] und das kl. Frühstück mit Kaffee, frisch gepr. Orangensaft, 2 versch.Toast, Donats und Kuchen hat uns immer gerreicht. Es ist ein Restaurant am Motel angeschlossen, wo man immer Essen kann,die Preise dort sind auch gut, für Frühstück c.a 8 USD, für Abendessen zw. 8 bis 15 USD pro Person. Wir würden dieses Motel immer und jeder Zeit Empfehlen Mehr
"Angenehmer Aufenthalt"
Hotel fand ich sehr preiswert und hat für meinen Geschmack eine Menge geboten. Besonders hervorzuheben ist kostenloses Internet. Außerdem kostenlose Benutzung eines Fitnessraumes, den ich aber nicht beurteilen kann (da nicht besucht). Zum Hotel gehört außerdem kostenlose Parkmöglichkeit. Bei Eintreffen war der Parkplatz leider komplett belegt. Nach […] Rücksprache konnte ich jedoch Parkmöglichkeit des Nachbarhotels benutzen (vom gleichen Betreiber). Im Hotel auch einen (nicht kostenlosen) Getränke-Automaten und eine kostenlose "Eis"-Maschine (zum Kühlen). Möglichkeit hier eine Waschmaschine zu benutzen (vermutlich Gebühren, nicht benutzt). Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut gepflegt. Außerdem stand im Zimmer ein Kühlschrank. Größe des Zimmers eher geräumig. Umgebung ok, so dass man keine Angst haben muss. CVS und ein McDonalds in direkter Umgebung. Auch wenn Hotel direkt an größerer Straße, hatte ich keine Probleme mit draus resultierenden Lärm, da Wände schon ein wenig solide sind. Sirenen von Einsatzwagen waren jedoch nicht zu überhören. Natürlich mit Klimaanlage. Hotel ist eigentlich mehr Motel (Tür von draußen direkt zum Zimmer, keine richtige Lobby). In winziger Lobby zum Empfang (ca. 4 x 4 m) gibt es einen Tisch und morgens Frühstück. Da es sich um ein Motel handelt, darf man meiner Meinung auch keine zu großen Erwartungen an im Preis mit inbegriffene Frühstück haben. Gab Kaffe, Tee und sehr guten (frisch gepresst?) Das Safari Inn war deutlich schlechter als es sich auf der Website dargestellt hatte: das Frühstück geht gegen Null, Sitzgelegenheiten gibt es so gut wie keine, ein Gäste-PC war nicht verfügbar. Der Pool war angenehm, aber nicht ganz sauber. Auf dem Sonnendeck waren Tische, aber leider keine Stühle, sonst hätten wir dort gerne gegessen. In unser Zimmer […] zog über die Badezimmer-Lüftung permanent Rauch, obwohl es ein Nichtraucher-Motel ist. Die Matratzen waren auch nicht so toll. Die Fotos auf der Website geben einen ganz anderen Eindruck als vor Ort. Schade! Mehr
"Liegt in Burbank"
Wenn man den nördlichen Teil von L.A. kennenlernen will, super Lage. Ruhiges und gepflegtes Wohnviertel mit vielen Restaurants in der Umgebung. Nahe zu den Filmstudios und durch div. Freeways und Interstates ist man z.B. gleich am Walk of Fame, oder Mulholland Drive. Kein Frühstück, das kann man im nebengelegenen Hotel zu sich nehmen.Freundliche Rezeption, […] saubere Zimmer. Uns störte sehr, dass die Zimmer Raucherzimmer waren, es roch alles nach abgestandenem Zigarettenrauch. Auch sonst war das eines der schlechtesten Hotels auf unserer Reise.
"Gute Lage, einfach und sauber"
Das Motel Safari Inn ist gut gelegen, einfach zu finden und sauber. In kurzer Zeit erreicht man ohne Stau die Universal Studios. Es verfügt über saubere gut eingerichtete Zimmer. Man kann Wäsche waschen und sich ein Frühstück machen. Das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit. Ideal für einen kurzen Aufenthalt.

"Miserable"
The pictures of the Safari Inn create a false impression -- that it is a retro-cool hotel. It isn't. It is just an old motel on a busy street with no charm except the old sign. The staff was pretty unhelpful, door keys rarely worked, the room smelled of the manure and wood chips used in the patch of greenery outside. Noise came in from outside, the […] street, the other floor. The bed was clean and comfortable enough, but the pillows were lumpy and too hard. Dark rooms relieved us from having to look at the dingy and aged decor and stained carpet. We left after the second night, although we paid for more. Miss this one. Mehr

"Nice hole in the wall place"
I live and work close to the hotel site. I woke up last Friday morning and realized I needed a one night getaway with a pool and a nice big bed. Safari Inn is perfect for that. The pool is small but gets plenty of sun all day long, and the architecture on the two-story pool area is old school, interesting, and pretty. I was really pleasantly surprised […] by the cleanliness of the rooms and how nice the staff was. Room service from the next-door restaurant took a little while but was good and reasonably priced. The only downside to the hotel is that it overlooks Olive Ave, which is busy about 24/7. It's not the most serene environment. But it also means there's a CVS and McDonald's within walking distance, both total plusses. Mehr

I have to say the room was nice, nothing fancy but it did the job. Room was clean & bed was comfortable 2 things I really need. One thing I wish the king bed I wanted was available but it wasn't they wanted to give me 2 full bed but when your there with the person you love why do you want 2 beds. So we had to up grade for the king, BUT again clean room […] & comfortable bed. I was happy. :-) Mehr

This is a hotel that is semi close to alot of attractions in Burbank about 15 minutes to universal and walking distance to The tonight show taping but other than location, not much good, beds were hard and rest of hotel and area noisy

"Nice Location - great service"
Hotel was in a great location - clean neighborhood, easy access to freeways, etc. Hotel staff was very accommodating when we had noisy neighbors - they moved us immediately without fuss. We would stay at this location again.
"Lovely idea, worn execution."
The outside is Californian classic motel style and pleasing if you like that sort of thing. The sign and palm trees make the place. Simply tired an drab inside the rooms. Thankfully I was only there to sleep but I might have gone looking for sharp objects if I had to spend any more time in there than that. Staff? The Safari Inn is in a great location for a trip to the LA area. Near many things in a good area. Good room, clean. I noticed one complaint about the small lot, but there is more free parking at their sister hotel right across the side street. It means walking maybe 100 ft. In a 4 day stay with many late evenings we only had to park in the other lot […] once when we got back after 2:00 am. There's plenty of free parking. The only problem we had was getting towels from housekeeping. There were 4 people in our room and only 3 bath towels. I had to ask them again every day of our stay to get a 4th towel. Irritating. Near enough to all the sights in LA while being far enough away to escape. Burbank is quiet, and the hotel is right near the highway. If you just need a basic hotel to crash at, this is your best bet. Nice rooms, no issues. Some kind of coffee table would have been nice, and the TV was really old, so we couldn't hook up our game system, but those are […] minor complaints. We just completed a three night stay at this hotel. The only reason we stayed there was because my daughter's cheer squad had chosen this hotel. We weren't quite sure what to expect and we ended up being pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff was wonderful. It was super convenient to everything. "Decent place to stay"
In Burbank and close to the studios. Easy to get to Hollywood or anywhere really in LA. Would and will def stay at again. Clean older rooms nice staff.
"Hotel Perfect when going to Universal Studios!!"
After a long day at universal, this is a perfect place to crash. Bed was ok, shower pressure was great and nice and hot. The only thing that I would have to complain about is that there is not much parking when arriving late at night, but doesn't really matter cause you can park along the main street. I could not believe how well preserved this old motel was. The rooms and even the parking lot were spotless. Vert clean and well maintained. This is not your new cookie cutter hotel, it has some character. Would stay again. Great location and price as well!

Our room was clean, and neat, although one of the pillows smelled slightly of cigarette smoke (we were in a non-smoking room. There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. You could hear cars driving by on the street all night, hear people in the next room doing who knows what and people outside the door talking and unfortunately smoking. The Inn advertises that free WiFi is available. However, service is poor to nonexistent at times. Also, the mattress in my room, while clean, needed an upgrade. It was fine for one person, but two would have had trouble sleeping.

"The Safari Inn in Burbank, CA — Frustrating Keys"
We have always chosen the Safari Inn when we've wanted to put up visiting relatives who we can't accommodate in our small Burbank house. The Safari Inn is clean, reasonably priced and close to where we live. Sure, the place is looking a little frayed around the edges from its many years of excellent service, but the overall impression is still that […] of a well-run, no-frills establishment. However, this time around my guests had terrible problems with electronic keys and locks that refused to open when they returned to the rooms late at night. I've stayed in hotels all over the world, from 5-star to fallen star, and I've never experienced so much trouble night after night just trying to open the blasted door. The managers were always very accommodating when we needed help, but we shouldn't have had to bother them so often. There were excuses: we must have compromised the magnetic strip when they rubbed up against electronics we were carrying, somebody inside must have put the deadbolt in place or we just weren't putting the key in at the right angle. Hogwash. By the third night our key handling prowess was the envy of international spies, high society jewel thieves and professional cat burglars... and we still couldn't get in. My key recommendation to this hotel is as follows. Get a new key and lock system or The Safari Inn may very well be locked out of our consideration the next time our relatives come to call. Mehr
"GOOD FAMILY BUDGET HOTEL"
We stayed for Christmas Eve to be near family just a mile away. Check-in attendant was very nice and polite but Check-out attendant was very brusk, and not friendly at all. The level of the hotel is about the same as a Motel 6 but a bit pricier, I suppose because of the convenient location to Universal Studios. Would stay here again for other family […] occaisions since all we did there was sleep there and it is clean. Note Hotels.com had a special discounted rate and we booked 3 hours before we arrived. If you are looking for an affordable, eclectic, historic landmark, the Safari Inn is perfect. Conveniently located to all of the studios. The money we saved went toward an amazing night out on the town. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
"Safari Inn, Burbank - Finally felt comfortable"
The rooms are spacious and especially clean. The most clean rooms I've seen for this price range. Sadly some amenities like a microwave are missing but again, a place where I felt save and comfortable. One thing I would complain is the TV quality which was sometime not ok. But hey, there are so many interesting places out there, go and watch them.
