we had a great stay. friendly staff and room was fine. Walking distance to the city and really good view as it is located on a hill. We will come back

Stayed for 1 night prior to cruise, then 2 nights post cruise. Found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and very obliging. Excellent customer service. Rooms were very comfortable with a balcony and views. Spring Hill Loop Bus, a free service operates Mon to Fri, with a stop within 50 metres. Roma Parklands accros the road a great place to walk through, […] which can also be used for a easy walk to the CBD. Walking back is a bit of a uphill battle for those whose legs are not as young as they used to be. The Hotel restaurant has a nice selection of meals. Would stay there again. Mehr

The room is clean but the bathroom design is old-style and the hotel is not very convenient to the city and require 15 mins walk up to the hill.

One still wonders how some hotels with 3 or more stars do not offer free WiFi...

The hotel was fantastic, we booked room only, we got a lovely room, however we were a little disappointed that We were one of the only rooms on the floor without a balcony! We didn't bring it up, we were only staying a night, had a good night sleep and my wife who is pregnant was. Looking forward to the late 11am check out and a lie in, however we were […] woken at 9am by loud drilling, work been carried out 3 floors above us, it was very upsetting. When I mentioned this upon check out, I didn't even receive an apology! Mehr

Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. After a long flight from London we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. It was a pleasure to stay here. Just a short stroll to city.

When choosing a hotel, we didn't want to be in the middle of the city as we were driving. This hotel was easy to get to and from by car with lots of parking downstairs. The room itself was big and spacious. They tell me that we were in a room that hadn't been renovated, so when they do renovate the Superior rooms they will be even better. For a supposedly 4.5 star hotel we were rather let down. We have done extensive travelling around the world and this certainly was not 4.5 star in comparison. Although, the room was recently renovated with fresh paint, curtains and new furniture, the bed was sagging in the middle and the pillows were flat. The bathroom was tiny and the door was broken […] because it had been opened hitting against the toilet too many times. We also found long dark hairs stuck to the door, hairdryer and even in the towels. However, in saying that, the room did seem very clean and tidy. The most frustrating thing about staying here was the cost of internet and parking. The price to stay here was certainly not cheap and to pay extra for those items was a joke. Have stayed in much better hotels for less with internet and parking complimentary. Location to St Andrew's Hospital was excellent (across the road) and the reason we chose to stay at Hotel Grand Chancellor. However, next time we'll stay a little further away and pay for cheap parking at the hospital. Would recommend driving to the Emporium complex in Fortitude Valley for dinner. Mehr

Short stay for us. Close to town and not to far from the station. Everything was as expected.

We did not enjoy this hotel - the lady who did our check in was not friendly or well informed. She acted as if every question we had was a great bother for her to answer. The hotel was located quite far from the city center with no restaurants or shops near by. The bed was uncomfortable with a mattress that was so worn on one side, there was a danger […] of falling off the bed. Mehr

My husband and I were very disappointed in the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel chancellor. Based on the pictures from the website, we thought we were choosing a luxurious hotel to spend our honeymoon at, but upon check in found that it was old, shabby and understaffed. The original room we were given on the 6th floor was dirty and the […] whole floor stunk of cigarettes. We felt dirty just being there, like we were at a truck-stop motel. When we asked to move, they provided good, immediate service and relocated us to the 9th floor. It was slightly better, cleaner, but the whole floor stunk of mildew. The mattress was less than impressive, but overall the 2nd room was better than the first. Mehr

This hotel is rated 4 Stars and deserves the rating. The location is very pleasant at the top of Spring Hill and close to the Spring Hill community coffee shops/restaurants and pubs. Nearby are the Roma St Gardens , and a free Spring Hill shuttle bus operates through the city centre regularly. Only had one night as a stopover to recover from jet lag. Workmen started in the room next door very early in the morning. Complete waste of time and money.

Jeg syns dette hotellet var veldig fint. Det var ikke for langt unna sentrum, og det gikk fint an å gå. Rommene var svært fine, og senga var god. Hvis det er noe jeg skal klage på, må det være der svømmebassenget var - det var ikke spesielt ryddig og fint der. Badet på rommene var heller ikke like fint som resten av rommet. Men annet enn det, syns jeg […] dette hotellet var svært bra. Vi hadde også en veldig fin utsikt fra rommet (rom 815). Anbefales! Mehr
