Wir bekamen kostenlos ein Zimmerupgrade. Im Zimmer angekommen, waren wir sprachlos. Großes Zimmer mit Himmelbett, großes Bad mit Dusche und Whirlpoolwanne. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Am nächsten morgen wurde dann erstmal das vielgelobte Frühstück unter die Lupe genommen. Ich gebe zu, dass ich mich fragte, warum ein Porridge preisgekrönt sein kann. Ok, nun weiß ich es. Ich liebe Porridge - aber nun habe ich neue Maßstäbe. Das restliche Frühstück ließ auch keine Wünsche offen. Man bekam eine Menükarte für das warme Frühstück und konnte sich etwas auswählen. von Crepes und Wraps bishin zum tradionellen irishen Frühstück war alles vorhanden. Wie man die Eier haben wollte (porchiert, gekocht, gebraten oder gerührt) konnte man natürlich auch angeben. :-) Zudem waren Besitzer und Personal auch sehr hilsbereit und gaben gerne auch Tips für die Umgebungen. Diese Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage, direkt am Ring of Kerry mit traumhaften Blick auf die Kenmare-Bay. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig, jedoch nicht luxuriös und ist im Hinblick auf Preis-Leistung nicht mit deutschen Hotels zu verlgeichen. Man sollte auf jeden Fall ein Zimmer zur Meer-Seite nehmen (Aufpreis)! Die Zimmer sind super-sauber, das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ist einfach. Ich würde das Hotel aufgrund der sehr guten Lage wieder buchen.

Excellent hotel in a brillant location,only 3mins walk to town centre. Staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful from receptionists,bar staff to cleaners and the leisure suite is great .Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area andI I will definitely be back.
"Not worth the price at all"
Very disappointed wih recent stay. The main body of the hotel was good but bedrooms were poor. The first bedroom we were given was very poorly furnished ( eg no bedside tables) but ,more importantly, absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. Reception staff were friendly and offered another room which was better furnished and did not smell so we took it. […] However on going to bed one side of the double bed had a huge dip and we had a very uncomfortable night. I mentioned this at reception on check out and although staff apologised there was no attempt to recompense us in any way for the problem. A very poor experience in an expensive hotel Mehr

"Small Rooms, thin walls"
I was very disappointed. The room was tiny, the smallest hotel room I have ever been in. It was funny at first but then as the night progressed it got noisy and children were running up and down the halls. The bedding was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was old and ugly, not dirty, just did not feel clean. It was just slightly below average in my […] opinion. The staff seemed indiffrent to everything except for one man in the restraunt. We only complained about the yelling children, they were helpful with that. I wouldn't suggest staying here unless the rates drop. Mehr

we stayed overnight and was very happy with our stay. the receptionist changed our room when we mentioned we had our 4mth old with us. They put us in a bigger room and away from the wedding that was there. very impressed with the service, loved the kiddies pool. a very enjoyable stay

"Great Value"
This hotel was by far the best value we found in our whole trip to Ireland. We stayed there in 10/10 and from reading the other reviews, I believe the hotel was rennovated not long before our stay. The room was comfortable, quite nice and there was even decent water pressure. The hotel is a bit outside of town, but we just drove in and had no trouble […] parking. A really good hotel experience, I could not recommend this hotel highly enought. It was very child friendly, the rooms, food and staff were excellent. My only regret is that I was only staying one night but I will be staying there again for sure.

There was a wedding on in the Hotel the night that I stayed and my room overlooked the main entrance. There were people and cars coming and going till dawn. If you want a good nights sleep then make sure you request a room in a quiet area.

Although you can't beat the location - the town of Kenmare is gorgeous, the hotel seems to have spent a load of money on their new town homes that they rent - they are across from the hotel and are great - however, the main hotel is in terrible condition. The rooms are old and bathrooms not good - also and this was a huge problem for us --- they do […] not serve any food after 9pm - it stays light in Ireland in the summer until at least 10:00 and if you are out and about, you can't get food when you come back to the hotel. The web site showed light, pleasant, modern rooms, promised wifi and spa facilities a few minutes from the centre of Kenmare. The room was dark, poorly furnished (only one bedside table), the wifi is reception area only, the shower is a trickle and I had to hold the mixer button out to maintain flow from the shower head. There is no room service and […] the walk to the centre of town is further than suggested. I cannot comment on the Spa facilities, as we had no time to use them. The hotel was noisy at night with guests slamming doors and yelling through keyholes. On the whole disappointing for the price. I had expected much more. Mehr

we were very comfortable in this hotel - a small leak due to extraordinarily heavy rain meant we were moved - immediately - to a 'superior' room. the hotel was very busy due to a large delegation of senior citizens, this only affected us in terms of crowded corridors for brief periods - and noisy chatter in the mornings.
