Boulevard Hotel Ocean Drive - Miami Beach

Ich war ja schon vorgewarnt, dass dieses Hotel nicht das Sauberste ist, aber dass es so schlimm ist, hätte selbst ich nicht gedacht. Als wir in den Flur kamen, roch es nach Urin und Schimmel und ein Sack Müll stand dort und stank vor sich hin. Das Zimmer war total vergilbt (von Zigarettenrauch?), alles hat geklebt, die Handtücher und Bettlaken waren […] fleckig und zerschlissen. Im Bad lagen noch Haare vom Vorgänger und wir hatten auch tierische Mitbewohner. Auch wenn die Lage top ist, kann ich dieses Hotel auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen. Mehr

Wir hatten dieses Hotel gewählt da es direkt am Ocean Drive liegt und Preiswert ist. Die schlechten Bewertungen die dieses Hotel hat, haben wir zwar vorher gelesen, aber da wir nicht sehr extrovertiert sind und nur einen Platz zum schlafen gebraucht haben, haben wir mal gehofft das es nicht so schlimm werden würde. Die Hoffnungen haben sich aber leider […] nicht erfüllt, das Zimmer war extrem dreckig und Haare lagen sowohl in der Badewanne als auch im Bett und auf diversen Handtüchern. Außerdem hatten wir Kleintiere wie Kellerasseln im Bad. Einen Tresort hatten wir, allerdings war dieser schon aufgebrochen bevor wir kamen. Extrem laut war es auch, die Musik war so laut als wären die Lautsprecher neben uns und betrunkene Leute rannten die ganze Nacht über den Gang entlang und schrien herum. Die Gänge rochen auch etwas nach Urin oder anderem. Die Rezeption ist auch nicht rund um die Uhr besetzt und eine Bar war in der Lobby, so das jeder der auf dem Ocean Drive war, ohne Probleme an die Zimmer gelangen konnten. Mehr

This 'hotel' is a total dive, DO NOT stay here. The idea behind the night was that we'd arrive, chill out in the hotel then go downtown to watch The Heat play before heading back for a shower and spending the rest of the night in the bars on Ocean. We checked in at 4pm to the horror of a filthy reception complete with plaster hanging from the walls/ceiling […] and faded photos of the hotel from its past glory days, but found that our room hadn't yet been cleaned & we were made to sit on a pikey little bench in reception which happened to be right outside the ladies toilet. When we finally got into our "King" room, I noticed straight away that not only was it really just 2 single beds placed together, but the linen hadn't been changed from the previous guests. We stayed in room 111 and any room on this side of the corridor (101-111) will have a delightful view of the Starlite Hotel's alleyway - perfect for the sounds and smells of empty bottles being smashed & bins being emptied. The bathroom had a decor that appeared to be that of smeared blood (think of the shower scene in 'Psycho' & you're getting close), along with beer lids down the plughole & of course, stray p*bic hairs. The staff were also useless. None of the rooms have a hairdryer, so I duly went to Reception to get one for my girlfriend only to be told that they only have 1 or possibly 2 hairdryers for the whole hostel but they don't know who has them. This hotel is in the perfect location if you are in South Beach to party. The service at the hotel was really good. The people were friendly. I really liked that early check-in and late check-out were available but you do have to pay a fee both times of $25. The room is nothing special. A bed, chair, closet and bathroom. Had to convince myself and friend to stay after moving from one room that had a huge cockroach in it to another. Complained but finally settled only because of the location of the hotel being smack in the center of Ocean Drive in South Beach, Miami. Don't think I'll stay here again though.

Great location but the Hotel is old and run down. Beds were satisfactory . Security was lax , there were people banging on our door a 4:30 am looking for friends or a party. They were not guest of the hotel.

The front desl agent was great but other thN that..never again

from tiny bugs in the bed to hairs, makeup stains in the bed sheets, very loud noises that you can't sleep. horrible.

You get what you pay for. Not as bad as people say, location great, staff friendly, and overall satisfactory. Didn't see any bed bugs or roaches. If the hotel is less than a hundred on a fri, sat, night do it.

Rate is good for the area but that is the only good thing I can say about it. Well it does have a flat screen TV that works well. One very dim (20 wattt?) light bulb in ceiling fixture and a table lamp by the bed. Roaches. (only killed 2). We stayed out of the room as much as possible. However, it did not have a bad smell. Loved the area and South […] Beach is great!! Another complaint. They did not give us a wake up call. Could have missed our flight. I think the guy at the desk was in a side room sleeping. I told him he should look over the list as he may have others that needed to to be called. He couldn't have cared less. I guess good help is hard to find. Do not stay here. The hotel is bug ridden, and nasty. I stayed awake until 5 am for fear that i would get bed bugs or roll over on a mouse. My friends and I kept the TV and the lights on to scare away critters. The hotel is run down. Stay far far away. amazing location, but there are alot nicer inexpensive hotels on the strip.

Everything was out dated, dirty & just old. 2 cockroaches in my room on the last night. if I would've seen them on the first night I would NOT have stayed there at all.

The Staff was really sweet and tried to accomodate us a much as they could. But the hotel is so run down needs to be renovated completly. We had no bathroom door, nasty bedsheets with hair, dirty towels, to top it off we had two water bugs in the room that we had to kill. Been waiting to see Miami for the longest time... Boulevard hotel was close to EVERYTHING we needed. Couldn't have picked a better location. Only problem with it is the cockroach that greeated us each time we went In to the room. A nice clean iron wouldnt hurt as well... For the price we paid... If it was a bit cheaper I wouldn't mind staying again […] ... Mehr

My bags spent more time in the room than I did and for good reason the ONLY good thing about this hotel is its location. It could use major updates throughout the entire establishment (you'll notice at the front desk while you hesitate to check in) The staff was very nice though.

Mold in the bathroom, stains on the bedroom sheets, dirty carpet, corners of room had not been cleaned in weeks, no shower head pressure, unfriendly service staff at the front desk, and very difficult to get clean towels. All in all a terrible hotel in a great location on South Beach.

Nice location, but you surely get what you pay for.

It ha the best location ...close to the beach ,bar ...right on ocean drive but dOnt expect a lot but the price makes up for the inconvinces

The staff was rude and unfriendly! We were not accomodated with clean towels and washclothes nor tissue! I would never stay here again! Te only good thing was that it was on the beach.

First I get to the hotel and nobody is at the desk.. I was there around 11:10am.i had too pay $25 more dollars to check in my room at noon..the room was not to clean.the first nite I slept in some pants and I laid a shirt accross the pillow. I wake up in the middle of the nite to find a mouse rumning around. I told the guy at the desk and around 9:30am […] I was givein another room.the second room was fine.my stay was a lil better Mehr

Overall my experience was good. You get what you pay for. This is not a 5 star hotel but it is good if your just going to party out on the strip. We were rarely in our hotel room but when we were, the staff was super friendly and we felt comfortable sleeping.

So I knew going into this that I wasnt staying at the Ritz, but I went with it because it was last minute and it was a decent price. Upon arrival, my room was ready and available but the clerk told me that I couldn't check-in, as check-in was at 3pm and it was only 215pm. So I ended up changing my clothes in the bathroom and giving him my luggage to […] store until 3pm. I came back and when I walked down the hall to my room it wreaked of mildew and old smoke. The room wasn't any better either. The room smelled of mildew and wasn't clean at all. There were "white stains" on the carpet, of who knows what...I can only imagine. There was hair in the tub and there was already something in the trash can. The toilet wasn't bolted to the floor and moved every time I sat on it as if it was going to tip over...and I'm less than 150lbs. During the last two nights roaches started to appear out of nowhere and one was about the size of a baby carrot...HUGE for a roach. I'm assuming there was an issue with the room directly above me because one morning I woke up and brown water was leaking downstairs in my room. I informed the clerk, but no one ever came to clean up the leak in my room. I ended up using towels to clean the mess myself and when I asked the clerk for clean towels he told me that the hotel didnt have anymore. Now while I understand, this was a cheap spot, the condition of the hotel was just ridiculous. I would never stay here again even if they offered me free lodging for life!!! Mehr

Worst ever hotel I had even seen since I had been to 1star hotels, motels also. Don't stay here and ruin you vacation. Stinky rooms, dirty carpets, dirty comforters with blood stains on it, unfriendly hotel staff, dirty washrooms etc. Don't know who gave it 2-star on the websites. Didn't even feel safe over there. Just spend one night there somehow […] (din't take shower also bcs of the conditions over there). Booked deluxe queen bed room but the room was horrible. Hotel needs complete renovation. Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. Hair in the bathroom. . . Do they not own a vacuum? To make that worse, the owner does not know what customer service is. The desk is only manned when they are expecting guests to check in. Before and after that, no one is available either in person or by phone. It was a nice hotel. We just went down for 1 Saturday and it was a nice place to crash. We looked for bed bugs and could NOT find any. Also we did see a roach outside in the hallway but nothing in our room, and we tore that thing apart looking for anything. The hotel was in a great location, just right across the street from the beach, and not much […] of a walk to anywhere else either. Kinda smaller then im use to but oh well. I had to switch rooms three times! The rooms except one smelled like death. My second room had an odor && roaches. The staff was nice but that doesn't matter when the room stinks the sheets are dirty as were the towels as is the carpet. I stayed two nights because everything was booked but third night I switched to the paradise beach hotel down the […] street & I loved it!! Mehr

Right on Ocean Drive across from beautiful South Beach and in the middle of all the action. Wireless Internet in the rooms. They clean every day. There is a cafe on the bottom floor with live music. Good stuff for the price! Rooms are ok, nothing fancy. Simple but pretty clean. No cockroaches like the other reviews say. The front desk clerk was not there when we checked in. Had to wait for almost 25-30 mins. before he came back to front desk. Without giving any apology for making us wait, he was full or bad attitude and arrogance. On entering the room we saw 2 cockroaches on the floor. Beat up furniture and very small rooms, no amenities. Do NOT stay there, cockroach infested hell hole, front desk would not even hold a suitcase for an hour after check out. Filthy place, I have stayed in better 2$ in the depths of 3rd world countries. I will also never use hotels dot com again.

The Boulevard hotel has broken doors, roaches, construction that goes on throughout the night, hotel restaurant staff congregate in the hotel alley making noise, hotel restaurant cleaning carpets from 12 am to about 5am, dirty carpets, a fine film of dust covering the entire room (from the roof as I was told the hotel was old), filthy beddings, etc. […] On my last night of stay I could not sleep due to the noise as the restaurant crew was cleaning carpets in the alley from 12am to 5am. I nearly called 911 but decided to take a shower and leave my hotel at 06:00 instead of 09:00 as my flight was at 11:45. Mehr

the location is ideal and its cheep but to be honest i wish i had paid more for a better standard. this hotel needs a major re-vamp, altough the staff that work in the hotel were some of the friendliest and helpfull people i met in miami.

The hotel was in a great location, but was really noisy for most of the night and really not very clean. I wouldn't stay there again, when there are hotels one block behind that are much nicer and cheaper.

I stayed here New Years Eve and the location is perfect! There was a dead roach in the bathroom and the carpet needs to be replaced. I would recommend spending a few more dollars for something more clean.

Not impressed with hotel at all!! You pay for the convenience of the hotel location, but hotel room not worth the price!!

DON'T EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL IS THE WORST PLACE.............THE ROOM STINKS...........THE MATRESS IS A DISASTER......AND THE WORST OF ALL ARE THE HUGE AND I REALLY MEAN HUGE!!! ROACHES AT THERE...........THEY WALK EVERYWHERE IN THE ROOM AND WILL WALK OVER YOUR FACE DURING THE NIGHT!

Parking is astronomical. Room door had been kicked in. Can't walk on the sidewalk without vendors begging you for business. Trashy, ill-kept interior. Good place to go if you are looking for hookers and cocaine. Everyone is just trying to con you out of you money. I would move up the coast to Fort Lauderdale.
