Days Inn & Suites Amelia Island At the Beach - Fernandina Beach

Hotel liegt sehr günstig zum schönen Strand, das Zimmer war nicht sehr sauber (Brandloch in der Decke, alt) und im Zimmer war ein unangenehmer Geruch.

Sehr ordentliches Hotel, die Lage ist Klasse, sehr nahe zum Strand gelegen, Fernandina Beach hat eine nette kleine historische Altstadt mit vielen Restaurationsbetreiben.

It was a pleasant surprise to see such a nice hotel when expecting two stars. It was at least a three star presentation.

You get less than you pay for. The hotel is run down and dirty. There was burn holes in the bedding & the floor had torn carpet all over. I was very upset that the room was so dirty. Also when I told the staff about it they did not seem to care & just said they were booked. However I am sure the other rooms were not any better, Also it smelled like […] a wet, dirty pet had been staying in the room. It seemed like a place for college students to party. We stayed here on Easter Weekend. The hotel staff was very pleasant and attentive. They even called us a little while after check-in to see if everything in the room was satisfactory. The room was spacious and clean. We walked to nearby restaurants and had a night cap in the hotel sports bar (friendly atmosphere). The hotel is very close to the beach- approximately 1 block away from the beach. There are nice restaurants near the hotel and an affordable all you can eat buffet restaurant adjoining the hotel. The room was clean and large. The only concern we had was that the air conditioner was noisy. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

Pulling into the Days Inn reminded me of the type of hotels that my Dad drove into when I was a kid...casual, clean, friendly and close to the needed amenities. The beach is a quick walk away. The Greenway is another quick walk away for the marsh hike that's a must if you are there! And, there's a Dairy Queen across the road! Grocery store is less than […] a 1/4 mile away and shopping is close by. The historic downtown of Fernandino is within 15 minutes and you pass both the fort and the lighthouse on your way, so it's easy to go site seeing when you tire of the beach. The rooms are clean and nice. Nothing fancy, but what's needed. There's outside picnic areas w/ grills, a basketball court, a pool and a business center w/ a couple of computers that seem to be seldom used, so quick access. Friendly staff. A no nonsense type of a motel w/ a casual somewhat vintage look about it. I had a great time and will refer my friends & family there if I get the chance. Mehr

the staff was helpful. the amenities are great. my room needs a bit of a "face lift". the toilet handle was temperamental. the towels cold have been less rough.

The location was perfect for us . Very dreary and especially since there were quite a few other hotels in walking distance. They did not offer coffee or beverages in the hotel itself only in am. What they called a buffet i the morning was not eatable. sorry hope that changes in future and if it does let me know. KS CB, Fl.

Carpet in room was DIRTY>>>DIRTY!!! Bottoms of your feet get black with a short walk to the bathroom! The hot tub was out of service!

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable with all the amenities. The location was within walking distance of restaurants and not far from others when driving. We were close to Sliders and The Surf and the bar, of course, at the hotel itself. The only problem: The coffee in the room was really weak. We always stay at the Days Inn when we travel to Fernandina Beach (which is often, because it's our lil weekend spot). The rooms are not the Ritz, but good enough to suit us for the night or 2 that we normally stay. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean. We really have nothing bad to say about this Hotel at all. Again, it's Days Inn, […] not the Ritz, so you can't expect to stays in a millionare's mansion. By the way, we will continue to stay here on our weekend get-a-ways, unless we have a bad experience. Mehr

Courtious friendly staff attractive setting beds were too hard- both woke with back ache carpets in room left you with dirty feet

I've stayed here many times. The place is overdue for modernization although they installed new HVAC just before we arrived. Although a bit out of date the place is clean, the staff attentive and the location in the middle of the island works real well for me. The best part is this motel is consistently the best price I can find on the island. I'm just […] sleeping there so I'd rather save the money and spend it on one of the great restaurants on the island. Mehr

This place was great for the price. The beach was just a short walk from the hotel. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. We would definitely stay they again.

Even though the stay was good, I will not stay there again. Apparently I didn't read the fine print where it said there will be a resort fee applied to ever day of my stay. This is no more a resort than any other hotel! They got me once but they will not get me again.

This hotel is one block from the Beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Not the best room BUT loved the location and cant beat the price. The Sports Bar was very friendly, would stay again!

the breakfast could have been better no fresh fruit bagels the pool was always locked but the staff was friendly when we checked in and was helpful handing out information on food and other things

Quiet, clean room at an affordable price. Carpet was old and the room could use a little updating but at the price we paid I can't complain. Friendly staff. 5 minute walk to the beach and good places to eat. Highly recommend!

GOOD FOR THE PRICE NOTHING SPECIAL

This is not the Ritz, but it is clean and has a nice family ambiance. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and hot tub is really nice even when it is cool outside. It is a short walk to the beach and restaurants as well as grocery stores are nearby. I think it is perfect for a budget conscious vacation.

This is a good, basic hotel - clean, very nice staff and great location. The price was very attractive and it was a perfect place for us to spend the night before moving my parents into their new rental.

we had a wonderful stay: staff was very helpful and freindly.the hotel was very clean. nice cont.breakfast and sports bar. Bar tenders were wonderful walking distance to the beach and resturants. planning another trip and my family and I will be staying here again.

The motel is close to the beach, near by to some great resturants, the staff were very curtious and they made us feel like family, they tried to accomidate all our needs.

I have stayed at this location several times and enjoy the savings. They have a pool, tennis courts, restaurant & tavern right on the premises. I checked in and requested a crib, the receptionist called housekeeping and it was in our room, set up before we got there. Excellent Service. I called for extra towels, and they were there within 5 minutes. […] Excellent Service again. Mehr

All I can say is what a dump. Non smoking room had cigerette holes in bedding. Ceiling was bubbling from moisture, roof shingles coming loose, sports bar too think of smoke to even watch a football game in, etc..

This hotel has a great location on Amelia Island -- only a block or so from the beach. Our room appeared to be freshly painted, clean and spacious. The lobby, however, did smell like cigarette smoke. Otherwise, we had a very good experience and would stay at this hotel agian.

Even had a free breakfast-front desk very professional-had everything in order for our arrival-room cleaning service excellent-pool clean and neat-this is our 3rd stay here of 5 days or more-many parts of the Days Inn had been upgraded

It's a 2-star property, so I got what I anticipated. Room was well-used. Carpet was vacuumed, but not clean. No smoking room with cigarette burn marks all over the place. The neighbor had a large dog (50lb or so) and I was worried about the barking which could be heard clearly through their door when entering our room. However, I was pleasantly surprised […] to find that the walls were solid enough to completely eliminate the noise. Never heard the dog once we were in our room. Tennis courts were a great plus as we were there for a tournament. Came back one afternoon to find three police cars with lights on, surrounding a van with the driver in handcuffs. Probably just a drink driver that tried to hide behind the hotel, but not something I have ever encountered at a 3-Star property. They also had an $8.95/night "Resort Fee". No idea what this covered. Even the desk staff just shrugged. I guess because they are on Amelia Island, they feel it's justified. I didn't. Will probably not stay again, just because I am used to higher quality properties. Not a luxurious Hotel, but staff was efficient and showed great customer service. Great Location, couldn't ask for anything more.

The hotel could use some updating, but was very clean and in a great location! The pool was a nice size and the beach was less than the length of a football field away from the hotel drive. I loved that it was pet friendly, had a great breakfast, close to historical downtown and had plenty of parking. We will stay there again when we go back,

Worst Hotel we've ever stayed in. Internet was down after calling to make sure they had internet for work purposes. Big gap in the furniture where you could obviously tell the desk had been removed. Air Conditioning was so loud it sounded like a jet engine kicking on and off. You had to adjust the TV volume up and down according to the air conditioning […] being on or off. 5 small hard pillows on the bed. Stayed there to break up a road trip and got no sleep. Mehr

It was a great stay. It only took five min to check in and shorter checking out. The room was perfect!

the air conditioner unit was very loud and had to keep turning the volume up and down to hear the tv. had coffee maker in room, but no coffee, cups or condiments to make it. the carpet was not very nice. really needs to be changed. breakfast was great and person handling it was nice. but if we did not overhear someone else being told about it, we wouldnt […] have had breakfast. we had to call the front desk to find out about it. had dairy queen and a seafood restaurant across from it. the seafood place was very hot and food not good for the price. would only stay there again if had a room with a less noisy air conditioner. I stay at this Days Inn every year and this is the first year that I was not satisfied. I checked out next day and checked right back in and maid did not clean the room. Had to take lid off toliet after each use to put flapper down so it could flush. TV didn't want to work half the time. Mentioned to front desk on check out day and they said they would […] make it good . Great front desk help. Mehr

The only thing good about this hotel was it was close to beach. They charged my credit card twice!! The room is in bad need of renavation!!!

Hotel was in need of major upkeep. AC sounded like a jet engine roaring when it cycled on every 10 minutes. Overall upkeep of hotel seemed to be lacking; drains in sinks ans showers were rusty; doors seemed to be in need of a fresh coat of paint.
