Das Hotel iegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Servicepersonal ist ausgespriochen nett und zuvorkommend, auch die Sauberkeit im Hotel und Zimmer, sowie die Ausstattung der kleinen Küche war perfekt. Leider lag unser Zimmer zur Seitenstraße hin, wo zeitweise nachts irgendwelche Lager- oder Garagentätigkeiten mit ihrem Geräuschpegel […] den Schlaf störten. Schade! Sonst super und empfehlenswert. Central and convenient in the cbd, important to woman travelling alone. Quiet', and dark as the one bedroom apartment was on the second floor and surrounded by tall buildings, but that suited me fine to be able to sleep late.

We stayed in a very comfortable one bedroom apt. Just after we started unpacking we realised our aircon wasn't working. Being a weekend it wouldn't be fixed till Monday. The reception staff were very helpful & immediately offered a larger one bedroom. As there were three of us this was great as it gave us more room in the lounge area. The hotel entrance […] is actually located in Hosking Lane, a wide access lane just off Castlereagh St & 50yds down from Martin Place. Being situated right in the lower end of the CBD it is extremely hand for shops & restaurants in the area. Wynard Railway Station, where we met our son who travelled from the airport, was less than 10 mins walk. Both Sydney Harbour & Darling Harbour were also only 15 mins away. This meant Sydney bus tours & ferries to places such as Taronga Zoo were all close to hand. All in all would highly recommend the Medina Classic for comfort, location & value for money. Mehr

I chose the Medina Classic due to location, price and amenities. After our stay, I would go there again and tell others that it is very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Great value compared with nearby hotels, and with more flexibility. Fully-equipped, clean kitchen. We were pleased to find there was a washing-machine and tumble-drier - though no powder provided. The location could not be better! That also compensates the hotel situating in a narrow, dark little street, yet just a few steps from big streets. The room was large and comfortable. The staff friendly and readiness fior services excellent. Good vallue for money.

The Medina Classic Martin Place is centrally located in the CBD. Cab ride from the airport was 25 minutes and $47. It works out cheaper than the train when there's three people and it's direct. The hotel is walking distance to the Sydney Harbour, Opera House, The Rocks, Royal Botanical Gardens, Ferry docks, and high end stores. It's right between the […] stops for the free tourist bus (#555) which loops around the CBD. The 555 gets you to Chinatown, and Darling Harbour. David Jones, Myers and The Westfield Mall are just a 5 minute walk. Martin Place is also a great people gathering place with just pedestrian traffic. We were booked in a one bedroom for four nights. Room was clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Check-in was a breeze. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. As commented by others, the location in a laneway gives the Medina Classic all of it's negative feedback. Yes, the only view is of the office building across. Yes, the garbage trucks come by every morning at 5:30 am and makes a racket for 5 minutes. No, the double glazing has not worked. The shower stall has an impossibly high ledge that makes it a challenge to get in and out of the shower These are the only drawbacks. If one can work around the 5:30 am wake-up call, then the Medina Classic is ideally located to explore Sydney. Mehr

We were given a spacious one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen on the 2nd floor. While the hotel is centrally located and walking distance to shopping, The Rocks, the opera house, and many other Sydney hot spots, the hotel itself is situated in an alley. As such, our room had very little natural light giving it a cave-like feeling. Compared to the […] generous layout of the rest of the room, the bathroom was on the small side and could have benefited from a bit of an update. The ventilation system perhaps is in need of a complete overhaul; when we’d return to our room in the evening we were deluged by a persistent and unpleasant odor that smelled like pork chops that had been left burning on the stovetop. We were so put off by the offensive odor that we would have asked to be moved to a different room had we been staying longer than 2 nights. Mehr

Great place. Not a full service hotel, but perfect for what we wanted, as we usually don't eat at the restaurant in the hotel anyways. My wife and I were taking a cruise out of Sydney and wanted to arrive a day early in case of travel delays. e found the Medina Classic through hotels.com and decided upon it after reading several favorable reviews. This hotel was […] about a half-mile walk from the train that runs from the Sydney Airport to downtown Sydney and it is about the same distance from the main cruise terminal. It is in the heart of downtown and the Sydney Opera house was also a fairly easy walk for two 64-year old people. The room was quiet, since it is offset from the main streets by about one half block in all directions. The room was large, clean and comfortable, It had a full kitchen and it also a free washer and dryer in the unit, which we appreciated after about 32 hours of traveling from New Hampshire and allowed us to have no dirty clothes for our two-week cruise. This hotel really is in an excellent location, literaaly a few metres from Martin Place, Pitts Street and great shopping. Easy access from Martin Place Station. Our room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Desk staff were particularly helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back to the Medina Classic Martin Place.

It is a home away from home. Everything from a full kitchen to a washer and dryer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only negative thing is that we had no view from our room, but all the positives outweigh this negative.

Reception area is small , dull. and not lively like other hotels.

The apartment style room was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking Sydney and for public transport. Staff were helpful and courteous, and small faults (a light bulb) were rectified quickly. My sister and I stayed three nights at the Medina Classic Martin Place - a very spacious apartment with everything we needed including a full laundry and dishwasher. Very central and handy to shopping, Theatre Royale and easy for transport. Windows double glazed so very quiet. My wife and I enjoyed this hotel for 3 nights while we were in SYD. The location is 1 block from the Botanical Garden Park which was great for a jog or walk in the mornings! It was an easy walk down to the wharf and all the ferries, restaurants and Opera House! The efficiency room enabled you to prepare or cook some meals if desired. We have just returned from the Medina Classic, Martin Place and found the room very spacious and comfortable. We opted for a 1 bedroom apartment and really enjoyed having the separate living and bedroom area. Having a Kitchen and washing machine/tumble dryer was also really useful. My only small criticism is that even though the room was serviced daily […] it was just the towels that were changed and the bed made nothing was really cleaned (such as the bathroom sink etc) Overall a very enjoyable stay. Spot on central position 5 mins walk from the Quay, Opera house and Harbour bridge. A huge apartment with everything you could wish for, even complimentary milk in the fridge. Particularly liked the food menus thoughtfully supplied and stuck on the fridge. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The layout of the apartment and facilities were good. However, it was very difficult to get a good night sleep on weeknights due to the incessant noise of rubbish collection in Hosking Place below. But double glazing is currently being installed and this may go some way to ameliorate the situation.

Location was great for a downtown stay. Hotel was clean and in good shape. Street noise at night by gargage trucks was high, several trucks each nights at various times. Overall would stay here again as all other out weighed the occasional noise.

1. The hotel is difficult to find; our taxi driver had to circle the block at least once to find this drab alley and the hotel entrance. 2. Our Studio apartment faced the alley which is dark, but making the room even drearier was a very odd glass enclosed patio with a lonely table and 2 chairs. 3. For what it offers in terms of location and basic comfort with a real King Size bed it is terrific. The laneway overnight truck noises may bother some and it would be good if the Gym could be somewhat upgraded to include some fit balls and hand weights so you can do a proper workout. Otherwise no problems.

In the heart of the CBD, and 2 min walk to Martin Place train station. Room was tidy and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Read a lot of the other reviews about this place and they seem dead-on, I will just repeat a few that echoed with us. We had a one bedroom suite, very spacious with a full kitchen. Great access to the rooms and helpful staff, very close to everything in Sydney, we walked straight out of the hotel and everywhere we wanted to visit. Also close to a rail […] line that goes direct to the airport, so that was very convenient. One downer is that the rooms share a rather busy alley with the trash disposal services from the surrounding buildings, so it does get a bit noisy early in the AM. The location was convenient for walking to the Circular Quay and Opera House. The hotel was accessed from a small alley which resulted in no view from the room. Hotel was modern and very well done. Plenty of room and comfortable.

We chose the Medina Classic because of its proximity to Circular Quay, the Opera House and Botanical Gardens, and based on its Tripadvisor feedback. The position in a small side street with other high buildings around does mean that any noise does get amplified, however, there was very little during the night so we managed 3 good nights sleep. With the exception of one young lady who was very friendly and helpful the staff on reception were polite but quite formal. Also, their information was not always totally accurate. There did not appear to be too many restaurants in the near vicinity (there is a good Japanese next door but we found little else). Close to parks, shops, restaurants and train stations. The apartments are well planned and spacious.

1) Internet use is too high (AUD$25.32 per day). 2) staff inflexible about departure time.

Tucked away just off Pitt St these apartments are just 10 mins walk to circular quay and the same in the other direction to the westfield shopping mall. They are very spacious and equipped with everything you could want for a little home from home including full laundry facilities in the room. Washer, dryer and ironing board. The only downside to the […] location is that the airport shuttle bus couldn't get down the street and that the bin men come at 5:00am which disturbed other members of our party. Mehr

This hotel was average overall. The location is great though for the price. Close to Pitt and George streets. Close to circular quay too. We arrived and our room smelled of cigarettes and there was no soap in the bathroom. We asked for soap and it was never delivered. We asked to be moved but there were no spare rooms. This hotel is in the heart of the city in a great location. Everything was first class in the appartment where we stayed. It even had a balcony. The only difficulty was that the associated car park was inconvenient to get to after dropping our gear at the hotel. We had to also carry our gear back to the car when we left. The hotel was very centrally located, in a laneway just off Martin Place. Parking was available a short walk away in a secure car park in Elizabeth Street, at a special rate for hotel guests. The rooms were more spacious than expected and the kitchen and bathroom were very well appointed. There was also a large private covered balcony. Really convenient for main sites, this hotel allows those who are tired of eating out after a period of travel to self cater and relax in homelike comfort. This would also be great for adults travelling with children.

A very central location and extremely well equipped. Convenient for both Circular Quay and Darling Harbour and supermarket close by on corner of King and George Streets which is open 7 til midnight. Our stay was in July when the nights are cool and the apartment was warm and cosy.

In the heart of Sydney CBD, 5-10minutes walk to the shopping district and to Circular Quay. Martin Place train station just around the corner. Everything was within walking distance. I must say, our stay was excellent. We have no complaints. Just one suggestion though: perhaps a second lounge chair in the room would be better, as we found ourselves sharing the chair at different times to read. Neighbourhood is excellent with lots of shops and quick access to Martin Place train station.
