Cottage Inn By The Sea - Pismo Beach

Die Umgebung ist ruhig; mehrere Hotels und Wohnhäuser. Das Hotel selbst hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Wir (Familie mit 2 Jugendlichen) hatten 2 Schlafzimmer und einen Wohnraum gebucht. Dies haben wir auch erhalten, aber die Räume waren sehr unfreundlich eingerichtet, die Wände absolut kahl, der gesamte Raum dunkel und kalt. Im so genannten Wohnraum stand […] ein total abgewetztes und defektes 2 Sitzer Sofa, ein kleiner Tisch und ein Fernseher. Der "Gipfel" war allerdings das Frühstück! Im ohnehin schon sehr kleinen Büro/Lobby des Hotels konnten die Gäste sich das Frühstück (alles in abgepacktem Plastik, keine Eier, kein Obst, Kaffee in sehr wackligen Pappbechern...) abholen und ihre Zimmer balancieren! In unserem Raum gab es dann lediglich 2 Stühle und einen Tisch. Dies alles war dermaßen ungemütlich und unfreundlich, dass wir keinen Appetit mehr hatten! Das Hotel ist sehr teuer und insgesamt völlig überbezahlt! Wir können es auf keinen Fall empfehlen! Mehr

Einfach zum Wohlfühlen.

Auf dem Weg nach San Diego einfach halt gemacht. Aussicht auf Meer wunderbar. Unbedingt Zimmer mit Meerblick nehmen, da auch ruhiger ist. Entfernung zum Stadtkern ca. 1 km. Kann man wunderbar am Strand laufen.

They told me the hotel was non smoking, yet the next door neighbor was smoking, we could smell it.

Clean, comfortable and great location at the beach for the price, but there is no climate control mechanism in the room - just a ceiling fan that only had one speed: tornado. We happened to be there on one of the hottest days seen by Pismo in a long time so without the fan the room was stuffy. But at night, we couldn't have that fan blasting on us and […] without it, we couldn't breathe. The open window yielded freeway noise. Neither my husband nor myself got any rest. There are a number of places to stay in Pismo that are convenient to a lot of activities. Cottage Inn was great because of it's proximity to the beach and restaurants. You can literally walk out of your room a short distance and take the steps down to the beach. Absolutely beautiful views. Easy access to lobby area with plenty of parking. Bathroom was very small and the sink was so low and small that I could barely lean over to wash my face without hitting my head on the faucet.. Fireplace was a nice touch. Shower was pretty good. Coffee maker was convenient. One thing I did not like was that the bathroom door was a slider. It was old and not easy to slide. Breakfast was actually pretty good, with a waffle maker, a bagle slicer, muffins, cereals, fruit, cottage cheese and all the usual breakfast drinks. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was absolutely charming, and the bed was so comfortable & soft! The staff was very accommodating & a pleasure to be around. The view of the Pacific was simply breathtaking!

Loved the long wooden stairs to the beach; unlike anything we expected. Comfortable beds; easy parking. Didn't have a/c which would have helped with the high humidity. Good tv service; computer service; excellent breakfast till 10am which is 1 hour longer than normal. Great view from the back garden/sitting area. Town is very close and was just what […] we needed- not too commercial but enough restaurants, bars and shops to be interesting. Great boardwalk in town. Pillows and sheets were great. I really liked this Inn. The room was very nice and comfortable and relatively quiet. I loved the hot tub and the beach. I would definitely recommend this place. I also found out that they accept dogs. That is nice!

Loved this place. Always saw it driving by, finally got a chance to stay there. Decor different and comfortable. The wrap around shingles add a different funky touch. Loved it. Well this was a little Gem of a find . Perched atop Pismo beach this great little hotel was a great stop over for us as we travelled North to Monteray via San Simeon . The room was pleasantly furnished , the view from the pool area fantastic , convenient access to the beach for an early morning walk . A drink by the pool would be unreal in Summer .Located […] close to some great eateries we selected the Cracked Crab . WOW what a find - Highly recommended . No complaints whatsoever . Mehr

This hotel was great for our one night stay in Pismo Beach. It is right on the ocean (has steps down to the beach) and you can sit in the pool and hot tub and overlook the ocean. Plus there is a garden area where we took the free continental breakfast and enjoyed a spectacular ocean view breakfast. Very nice place for the price. We stayed overnight as we were seeing the castle the next morning. We visited the restaurant next door and it was very nice. Good food for a good price. Only downside, lots of dogs. We are not pet people.

I came from the mountains o the sea, and did want any HIghway 1 energy. So I was moved towards the sea, opened the windows, and slept my best sleep in years. Thank you all. Tim P 12/23/visit-laterRRIVAL

great place

This is our favorite place to stay in Pismo. It is on the cliffs above the sea. We enjoy the view and walking on the beach before sunset. The rooms are nicely appointed with a fireplace and refrigerator. The staff is always very nice and they have a great breakfast bar.

We really liked our stay in this hotel. It was comfortable with beach access and great lookout for Sunset. The staff is very courteous. The complementary breakfast is excellent.

Was very surprised, was better than website showed, breakfast was good, rooms were clean and grounds were delightful. Pool and spa was fantastic, amazing view from pool area. It was all it said and more- Food for breakfast (free) was great- Great coffee (free)- Great internet service (free). Room was clean and ready. Bed was comfy- Overall- very nice and would stay there again-People in the front front were very kind and able to answer my questions.

Great place very peaceful and tranquil!

I was very pleased with this hotel...my room was clean. I liked the high ceilings, the ceiling fan & fireplace in the room. The staff was very helpful & pleasant. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the area.

Perfect for a Pismo stop over on the roadtrip

enjoyed the room, except the microwave smelled like burdt popcorn, and the kids running upstairs all night, but that is what you expect, thanks

Very nice hotel, great location, friendly staff and reasonable price.

This is a lovely property with outstanding, friendly service from the staff. Rooms that are closer to the southeast side of the property can be noisy. The clifftop, beach front area is spectacular, but needs to be better maintained/cleaned by the hotel staff. Rooms are comfortable and well-maintained.

Hotel was very cute, right on the beach. Next time I would probably enjoy a room facing the beach. Bed a little hard.

We had a great time ! Lots of good food and drink. The weather was a wonderful change from the Central Valley. Walking around town, out on the peir. The hotel staff were very nice, they loaned us a cork screw, helped us out with some directions. All and all it was a very pleasant stay !!!! Enjoyed it very much....

Had an ocean-front room. Awesome cozy and comfortable room. Just loved it. Decor really felt like a cottage room. One of my favorite places to stay.

The Cottage Inn is well appointed and provides a wonderful included breakfast. Pismo Beach is beautifully located on the central coast of Calif. There is lots to do from visiting the Hearst Castle, to driving your car on the sandy beachs of Oceano, to enjoying the wineries just north of San Luis Obispo.
