Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 15. Feb. 2013Ausser dem Frühstück und dem WiFi war grundsätzlich alles in Ordnung. Das Frühstück beinhaltete leider nur Süssgeback, Kaffee und Jus. Das WiFi war absolut eine Katastrophe. Meistens kein Empfang im Zimmer. Empfang nur in der Lobby oder in der Nähe der Lobby. Sehr ärgerlich, wenn man darauf angewiesen ist.

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 29. Jan. 2013Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Parkside Inn in SB. Der Standard der Hotels, die Mitarbeiter und die Atmosphäre war perfekt. Da wir ein Auto hatten waren wir schnell in der Innenstadt von SB. Allerdings wäre es zu Fuß ein ziemliches Stück gewesen (ca. 30 min). Wir haben aber festgestellt dass nahe des Hotels eine kleine Bahn direkt in die Innenstadt gefahren wäre.Also auch ohne Auto ist das Hotel zu empfehlen. Alles in allem war es ein toller Aufenthalt in SB, zu dem das Hotel sicher einen großen Teil beigretragen hat.

"Perfect location for a running couple"
We enjoyed our stay at the West Beach Inn. The location was perfect for us, as the running track is just around the corner, the beach right in front of us. The room was clean and quiet. We loved the fact that there was a snack available at 5 pm, right after our daily exercise. The Sunday Fiesta parade was right in front of the Hotel, and we enjoyed […] watching it. Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt am Strand, entspricht jedoch nicht den erwarteten Vorstellungen hinsichtlich des Preises. Die Anlage ist schon älter und müßte mal wieder renoviert werden. "Direkt am Strand"
Einmal über die Straße gelaufen und schon befindet man sich am St. Barbara Beach. Das Hotel hat einen kleinen Pool und es ist kein "Hotelbunker" sondern es spielt sich alles auf 2 Etagen ab. Das Frühstück war lecker. Viel Platz (3 Tische) zum Frühstücken gibt es nicht. Auch untertags stehen Snacks und Getränke bereit. Hotelzimmer sind sauber, Anlage […] gepflegt. Boden und Bad könnten aber mal renoviert werden. Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Zum Abendessen empfiehlt sich ein Restaurant auf dem Pier, wo man Robben und Delfinen beim Schwimmen zu sehen kann, während die Sonne hinter den Bergen/Hügeln verschwindet. Wir sind sehr zurieden mit dem Hotel. Das Hotel ist unserer Meinung nach ein typisches amerikanisches (kalifornisches) Strandhotel. Pool, Zimmer etc. waren nicht zu beanstanden. Die Lage ist traumhaft (direkt am Meer/Strand; in der Nähe der Innenstadt und des Hafens). Whether you are in SB for the beach or for shopping this is the place to go . The hotel is quite small but the rooms are a good size. I was really happy that I chose this location not knowing the Santa Barbara area and was pleased with how close to everything and everywhere I wanted to go. The beds were comfy, staff was courteous, etc and I will definitely be staying there again! Comfortable, friendly staff...your basic standard motel. The free continental breakfast was appreciated, likewise the free parking. The only oddity worth mentioning is the odd placement of the A/C window unit, which is UNDER the desk. VERY hard to get to, virtually impossible to operate with the curtains drawn. "Very nice hotel!"
The hotel is located across the street from the lovely Santa Barbara harbour. We had a spacious well appointed room with comfortable beds and pillows overlooking this harbour on the third floor. We enjoyed watching the coming and goings of pleasure craft and working boats.. The hotel is situated on a small property however the space is well used and […] offers a swimming pool, spa, elevator and even laundry facilities. It is very well maintained.. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruits are offered 24 hours. The continental breakfast was more than adequate as we usually just have fruit, yogurt and hot cereal. "Relaxing get-away"
I had a delightful stay at West Coast Inn. The room was small but clean and well-equipped. The Continental breakfast was just right. It is located just a short walk from the pier and looks over the pier and harbor. Loved this hotel. Small, comfortable, understated. The bed was very comfortable. It was a cozy little hotel with beautiful views. Definitely ask for the harbor view. It's beautiful! The staff was so helpful, friendly, accommodating and made us feel at home. If it's high-end, fancy-pants you're looking for, this may not be your thing. "All that was advertised.."
We stayed over the New Years Holiday and stayed in one of the rooms advertised as having a "grand view" of the harbor. After so many times staying in rooms that advertised a view only to staying in a room that required one to stand on the balcony to have any sort of view I was suspicious up front. But the view was grand with a full view out over the […] Santa Barbara Harbor. The room was great, the staff very friendly and helpful. There is a very nice wine, cheese and fruit serving from 5 to 7 in the evening. The morning breakfast offering was of course continental style but a good way to start out the day. The location was great as it was not too far away from State Street but still far enough away and in the opposite direction of most of the traffic. Very nice hotel in a great location right across the street from the beach. We stayed in the patio suite, which had two king size bedrooms, a living room with patio and a gas fireplace. This little hotel is a great balance of location, service, and affordability. It clearly is an older hotel that was nicely renovated. Room size was misleading. The online pictures made the room look spacious but in reality the room was tiny (room with 1 queen bed with garden view). Other than that everything was good. I would make sure I book at least a room with 2 queen beds next time and hope that will be a little bit bigger. Hotel should disclose the square footage of the room […] or that it's a compact room.
