Quality Inn & Suites Legoland Area - Carlsbad

The hotel was very nice and the service was fantastic. Even the breakfast was good! I would definetly recommend this hotel to anybody. We could see the beach from our room and legoland was only about 10 minutes away.

This hotel needs upgrades! From the electronics, to the carpeting... I literally had fold out metal chairs in our room! Not very nice at all!!!

Room was clean and comfortable... though a notable absence of welcome, hospitality or greeting. Alarm clock went off blaring in room next door at midnight and no sense of great concern or apology was forth coming. Called twice to get it turned off. It was very adequate room for physical comfort.

We needed a lot of space (there are 7 of us). We would prefer not having to drop big bucks. We wanted a place with a breakfast (not just the type that serves donuts and coffee). We also don't want to cut corners so much that we are staying at some run-down shack of a place either. Well, at Quality, we got a nice, clean room with lots of space. The […] beds were comfortable and we have room to walk around. The breakfast was a true hot breakfast selection as well as other selections including fresh fruit. For the price, you just can't beat it. The location was first rate (easy access to the 5) and walking distance to the beach. The staff was helpful and courteous. We enjoyed staying here. When we return, this will be our place of choice. Mehr

The tv was from 1985 at least.. Wished there was a hot tub. Nice location right off I-5 and near beach. Clean and spacious room. Breakfast was free but not fabulous. Good value for money

Rude staff. Uncomfortable beds. Lack of wireless in rooms. Even power outlets were minimal. Cannot connect to the network (cable provided by hotel) and power outlet. Not good.

Not impressed with the room, older, not updated, but the staff was great especially Bill at the front desk.

Only thing was that the WiFi didnt reach my room. But they did supply a Ethernet cable which ran a lot faster! Grass is greener I guess. You have to drive through a Beni Hana parking lot to get to the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel because of its closeness to Legoland. It was only a few minutes drive. The room was nice enough and the beds were comfy. But everything that was made out of wood (dresser, tables, ect.) were sooo sticky. I don't know if it was the type of cleaner they were using or what but it was really sticky. My biggest complaint was that […] I did not know prior to staying at this hotel that they allowed pets. There were two big dogs staying in the room next to us and they started barking every morning at 6am. They were barking all the time. The hotel never did anything about this. The free breakfast was decent. Cereal, muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, yougurt, eggs and sausage. It was good and the kids loved choosing. We saved a bunch of money not having to go out and buy breakfast. But because of the dog issue and all the stickiness... I would not stay here again. Mehr

Breakfast they provide was probably the worst I have ever seen. Hotel could definitely use some updating. Location was ideal and hotel was okay, but would probably not go back to that one. Others in the area seemed much nicer.

The hotel was very close to the beach, lego land, and the outlets. A nice room a little out dated but the breakfast was decent. Overal the hotel was good.

I checked in & requested a room on the 3rd floor (top floor). They said those were all suites & put me in a room in a dark corner of the motel & next to main maids laundry room. After returning to the front desk, I told the guy behind the counter I need another room not next to the laundry room. Near legoland - older motel - works - good breakfast - lots of kids

Very nice staff. Room was clean and just what we needed for our trip to Legoland. Beach was close too. Restaurants and grocery very close (walking distance). My only request would be to have a shuttle to Legoland.

This was a convenience purchase and stay. We went to Legoland for two days so we stayed over night in Carlsbad. I was hoping for a bit larger room. things seemed a bit cramped. For the quality of the room it was a bit over priced. Some things in the rooms didn't work such as light, phone, and internet. Won't return to this hotel.

Very close to Legoland - 20 minute drive max. Very clean and large rooms. Pool was great - looked like a fancy resort!! Laundry machines worked really well!!!! Most hotel facilities have questionable machines that need several dry cycles.....not the case here! One cycle and the entire load was dry!!! Large breakfast area with nice selection.

The hotel was acceptable for the price that we paid. Perfect for coming in at night, having breakfast in the morning and then leaving for the day to Legoland. The room had a musty smell/feel but we just turned on the air and that seemed to help. The breakfast was fine although the area and space were way too small and had to wait 10 minutes in line! […] Overall, I would stay here overnight again, but not as a vacation! Mehr

Towels were very warn and thin. Some had stringy edges.

The first room we were given was un-acceptable. the furniture was scratched, tv did not work well, carpet was dirty, and they had folding chairs at the table. We spoke to the desk clerk about the room and he changed the room to one much better. We really did appreciate that, as we would not have stayed the night in the first room.

We cam into town for the mud run and decided to stay in the suite since my sister and her husband were joining us. We arrived late and the night front desk man was pleasant, and when we asked for late checkout so we could come back and take a shower before hoping on a plane to go back home, he was very nice and put our request into the computer. The […] next morning was another story. The new front desk man was rude and made us feel extremely unwelcome. we were out by 1230! He didn't need to get such attitude. The hotel itself was nothing special either. It was old, and needed to be remodeled. I think the tv was from the 1980's, and so heavy the stand kept sliding out. Will not stay there again. Mehr

We stayed here because it was close to Legoland. It was a nice hotel, clean, staff was friendly, and the pool was nice, (they said it was heated, but was still to cold for us to swim). The continental breakfast was great, a variety of choices. Overall I would definitly stay here again.

I stay at this hotel for 3 night everything is very bad. The room is not clean it smelllll. The pool is not heated at all, the temperature on the pool display as 80 degree but when i put my temp is display as 62 degree. I told the front desk the first day i got to the hotel. They keep on inserting that the pool is heated but all of the kids come down […] and goes back up to there room. It were to cold nobody were able to stay in the pool. I think you should do something about this false advertisement. I choose this hotel because it were a heated pool so my kids can swim but there were not fun on our vacation when they came back from legoland and can not swim in the pool Mehr

A GOOD VALUE FOR THE RATE.

We had a two-room suite which worked very well for us. Clean room with lot of room. Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is close to beach, and shopping center is across the street. Would definetly stay here again.

Everything was great from the time we arrived to the time we left. I forgot to get the name of the guy who checked us in, he has very pleasant and helpful. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the water was heated. I give it 5 stars because it was definitely more than I expected.

I got sick on our way to Carlsbad and we made such good time, we got to Quality Inn at noon. We explained our saituation and they let us check in even though "check in," wasn't untill 3pm! I felt so much better recovering in a bed verses a noisy car! It is also a very kid friendly hotel and my son loved the pool, but they said it was heated, but I don't […] think it was, I still couldn't get him out though! Mehr

We've stayed here several times. Great price, good for families, breakfast included and near Benihana!

We reserved a suite for three nights and found the suite to be clean and well prepared. The staff did a wonderful job of seeing to our needs and requests. We came to the area to go to Legoland and take in some sites. The continental breakfast was great, way more than I expected to have waiting my family and I. we had a wonderful time with our five children, […] ages 5 to 10, they enjoyed the pool with there mother, and I enjoyed the quite of the room for a nap. each room has a refrigerator and microwave , both nice to have , the rooms were very cozy and comfortable , if you are going to Carlsbad or to San Diego you should consider the comfort hotel in Carlsbad. I traveled with my family and getting a two room suite was a great choice for us. The rooms are comfortable and all have refrigerators and microwaves. The view of the Pacific from our third floor suite was breath-taking. I would not use this hotel for business travel as the outlets are mostly ungrounded and plugging a laptop in means hunting for a […] three-prong outlet. In addition, the hotel has no wifi in the rooms, meaning you have to plug into an ethernet outlet which is located next to the A/C unit with no power outlet anywhere in sight. Mehr

We were pleasantly surprised by this Quality Inn with prices similar to others in the area where we've stayed previously. The lobby, our room, and the quiet (though so close to I-5) were clean and attractive. Has a heated pool, but not well maintained. Not that great, there are better hotels in the area. No legoland shuttle, premiums channels or luggage storage. Close to a nice beach though.

The location was very nice. Close to Legoland/Outlet stores/Restaurants. Benihana's just across the parking lot. Walking distance to Beach. The room itself was ok, pool was nice, area was a little noisy with the road traffic. Furniture was old, chairs were stained. TV was old all the channels were fuzzy. It did have a nice microwave/refrig/coffee maker […] in room. Overall not bad, but stayed at a lot nicer places. Mehr
