Service is ok but the hotel is in not in good shape. The lock on our door didn't work, shower was dirty, dishwasher was falling apart and ants were coming out of it, carpet wasn't properly installed (my kids stepped on the tacks) and a lot going on outside in the middle of the night. You're better off staying down the road at the Crosstimbers

Disgusting carpet. Stains, cigarette burns, and gum. I really did not want to walk on it. I wasn't expecting alot for the price, but come on. There were cigarette burns on the nightstand and bathroom floor. Some hair on the sheets. The bed cover was gross. It smelled like cigarette odor covered up with lots of febreeze. There was some mildew in the […] shower. I'm glad I only had to stay one night. The only plus is that it was right next to the Alamo Drafthouse theatre. Mehr

The floor, sheets was smelling bad. Do not recommend to anyone. But the location is pretty good. Close Ross, Burlington, Marshall's, HEB,Starbucks and etc.

The room wasn't fully clean when I checked in. At first I checked in under the hotels website and then went to hotels.com because it was cheaper. Only to discover that every morning after I would constantly get locked out and had found out that they kept putting me on the lockout list even though I told two of the clerks that I had paid through hotels.com. […] After which when the maids came to clean the room found the carpet wasn't vacuumed, my trash wasn't taken out, there was hair on my lamp shade by the bed and a stain on the sheets they replaced. Honestly ones that deserve a kudos are the clerks Scott and Jennifer. They were very nice and understanding with my issues. Mehr

Hotel was clean, but no amenities. It was very spartan. I would not stay here again. When I asked for more towels, they wanted me to turn in the 2 clean ones. The desk clerk was very nice, but I felt as though I was staying in a low security prison. My friend thought it looked like a hotel in Russia prior to the fall of Communism.

Unfortunately There are people that travel with large dogs, they stay in the room, the room smells like dog, People does not pick up after their dogs outside of room (my room), Shower floors are dark dirty, Internet service sucks, carpets are dirty ans smelly. Service people is friendly and helpful but their facilities are in need of a good renovation. […] Price goes from fair to a little overpriced considering the condition of the facility. Mehr

My room smelled like cigarettes to the point where others notices the smell of smoke on my clothes. The pillows were also uncomfortable... but the smell was by far the worst. Otherwise, ood place for just a place to sleep at night. Did the job for a great price.

1st room was smoke free, but stank like smoke. After moved, the bed was dirty.

I was given a room where the carpets had just been cleaned. The Carpet was soaked and when I layed down the white towels to walk on they turned brown. My bags all got wet, and the room smelled of mold and mildew.

I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN .. THE ROOM SMELLS REAL BAD AND IT IS MIDDLE OF NO WHERE ... SURROUNDING AREA IS ALRIGHT NOT THAT GREAT . ITS WHAT U PAY FOR

This is the worst hotel that I have stayed in. The rooms smelled. The bathroom had mold and mildew. The paint was miss matched from them trying to cover up repairs, and the linnen was not clean. walked into the hotel office and the general manager was screaming at a (obviously very high) woman that she "needed to get in her room and stay there." I was told by the clerk that she had been wondering around the property for hours. The general manager escorted her back to her room. We discovered men (alone) hanging out in the stairwells and they […] appeared to be waiting for someone. People were loud, slamming doors, kids going around knocking on doors at midnight. Room was clean but really run down. Beds were very hard and overhead lights made noises. We had requested a nonsmoking room and I verified this at check-in. When we got to the room it smelled horrible and there was an ashtray sitting on the table. I went back to the front desk and she very quickly fixed the situation by giving us a different room. One brief moment of entertainment was provided when we discovered a pink Cadillac with huge horns (think Longhorns) on the hood. (dark tinted windows...you get the picture) After talking with some friends who live nearby we learned this hotel has quite a reputation (due to guidelines for this review I probably can't specify what activity led to this reputation--but you can probably figure it out) The only thing about this hotel that wasn't a complete disappointment was the hotel desk clerk. She was extremely pleasant, very efficient and helpful. She would be a wonderful asset to any hotel chain and I can't figure out why she hasn't jumped ship. Mehr

The rooms are very basic but are neat and clean. Would have preferred a bath to just a shower. Staff was welcoming. Area was quiet.

The staff was friendly. The place was quiet and safe. The room was clean if rather no frills. Near the highway, stores and groceries. Kind of like a motel 6 with a stove and mini frige.

It is really nice that there is a kitchen in the room. The hotel was full booked so we got another room than we booked though it was better, so it was fine. The staff was nice.

This is a nice simply room with a kitchenette. Bed was brand new and a little hard but pillows were nice. Few silverware and pots and pans but enough to do the little cooking I did. I will come back here again on business.

First room was dirty and some one prior peed in the shower. Second room that was given in its place was not an upgrade for inconvenience but a downgrade because room that was reserved was nonsmoking and the room that was given reached of old smoke and had ashtrays..

This is the second time I've stayed here. This stay was poor compared to last. The comforter smelled of smoke in a no smoking room and had a hole that looked like a cigerette burn. The bathroom sink had black hair in it and a toothpaste cap stuck in the drain. The bed has hair IN it! The staff took care of me and I was offered a different and clean […] room. Hope these problems don't turn out to be the norm as the cost/location are great for my business schedule. Mehr

Over all my stay at this hotel was satisfactory. The room was clean upon my arrival, the towels were clean and un-stained. Truthfully there were only two complaints about my stay there. The first one was the water pressure in the shower along with the shower head its self. The water pressure was so high that it almost felt like I was being pushed back […] to the other side of the shower. The shower head was an older style so there was no real way to adjust the angle. The other complaint that I had was the bed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and I woke up sore the next morning. Other than that, the hotel was in a very convienent location and worth the money that I paid. I would recommend this hotel to others if they're looking for a place to crash for the night. Mehr

Crossland hotel in Austin, tx, on hymeadow drive was very unsatisfactory; the cookware was caked with burned grease, the bed was like a rock and there was so much mold in the shower that I could almost not tell if caulking along shower wall was supposed to be white or black. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Okay Hotel for the price! Was not very happy when I returned to my room to find that some items were stolen which there was not suppose to be any cleaning service that day, ... The room had not been touched but stuff that we had in the Refrig was stolen so therefore we were not happy at all

The first room they gave us had not been cleaned at all. It stunk of dogs and cigarettes and there was dog food covering the floor and cigarette butts on every surface. Not to mention the huge stain on the bed. The next room they put us in was much better, but still was not very clean. There are much better places to stay in Austin at this price!

The hotel was easy to find just off the HWY 183 on the left. Check in at the front desk was easy. The front desk staff at the hotel was good. I’m not a CSI guy, but it was easy to see why I only paid XX-dollars for the room. We went out and bought cleaning supplies, sheets, blanket, and pillows to improve the sleep. I took pictures. By far this was the least expensive place in town to stay. You get what you pay for. This place filled my needs of a bed and shower. I chose the place so I could spend more on the wedding gift than my accommodations. Its fine for a single guy looking for a cheap place to stay alone, but I wouldn't recommend it for other users.

Basically, you get what you pay for. The first room smelled so bad that we got headaches. There are many people living there with pets. They did, however, move us to another room that was OK.

The hotel was fairly quiet for having a rather full parking lot. Walking distance to theaters, shopping and a few restaurants. Not a five star place but clean. Bed was rather hard. Grocery store less than half a mile to stock up for kitchenette.

For the money this is a good motel. the staff was courteous. the room was clean, as was the bathroom. I was very happy to be able to open the window, which is rare in motels or hotels. my only complaint is that there was no blanket on the bed, just the sheet and top cover. also, there were only 2 pillows and I would have liked at least one more.

when we got there they had a problem with the computer. then when we got to the room they expected 2 grown men to sleep in 1 double bed. the bed was like laying on a piece of wood. we called and asked if we could get one of their advertised rollaway beds, they had none. there was no shampoo or conditioner or lotion in the bathroom. they had no ice machine. […] we call to get some extra pillows, they had none. the tv had no power button only the remote would turn it on. tv had no espn. the door dod not seal allowing air to go out all the time. the shower head did not move, so you have to lather while the water is hitting you. they did have a nice shower though. but the room was only allowed 2 towels per week. the experience was all around bad. when we checked in, we were given a key to the room - and then asked not to park close to the building due to construction. the entire complex smelled of stale smoke. we walked to the room - opened the door - it smell of urine (i assume a pet's?) almost knocked us over. there were no linens or pillows, nothing, on the bed - and the matress looked like […] it had been eaten. we went to the front desk - told the attendant about the room, and she offered to give us sheets for the bed. of course it was the last room in the hotel - at 11pm on a saturday night. bottom line - sheets was not going to fix the problem with that hotel....we ended up at a La Quinta Inn - we should have stuck to what we knew. it was the WORSE HOTEL EXPERIENCE I've ever had. The room was a smoking room, and while I expected it to not very nice for a non-smoker, this one was AWFUL. Even though I arrived at 2am, my first action was to go to the store, buy Fabreeze and hose the place down...several times. And then, only to find out that they were re-roofing the entire buidling for the next two days, which was a problem as […] I was working/studying in the room the whole time I was there. If you want a nice clean room at a really low price, this hotel is good for extended stays. The prices are low because you don't get any maid service at all. You can exchange towels at the front desk if needed. A lot of construction workers stay here. Because there is no smoking in the rooms they hang out on the back balcony all evening chatting, smoking, […] and drinking beer. Sometimes they can be rather loud late at night - but they were polite and quieted down when I asked them to. The front desk people were very nice. I would have liked to have had dish soap and some steel wool pads for the kitchen to clean pots and pans with, so if you go there, bring your own. They provide kitchen dishes, pans, and a coffee pot - but no toaster. The carpet needed cleaning but overall the room was excellent for the money. Mehr

My husband and I had a flooding emergency in our home and 'evacuated' to the Crosslands - Austin West for one night. We found pubic hairs in BOTH beds (under the pillows!); the carpet was not vacuumed; and the bathroom was questionable in cleanliness as well. We were sent to another room in the opposite side of the hotel (I have trouble walking!), and […] that room was tolerable. But we'll never go back there again - in fact, NO MORE CROSSLANDS... EVER!! Room was not very clean and really smelled bad when we went in. The bed was not comfortable. If we had not prepaid we would have gone somewhere else. The only thing good about this place was the location.
