Harrah's St. Louis Casino & Hotel - Maryland Heights

My mom and I drove from springfield to harrahs hotel the day before we were scheduled to depart from st louis airport. Springfield is roughly 3 hours from harrahs hotel. We arrived at 330pm and was told our room wasn't ready. We understood bc check in was at 4pm. We checked back with hotel staff frequently and finally were given the keys and in our […] room at 645pm. The room was hot or cold. The shower curtains were moldy. However the valet staff and the room service staff were extremely friendly. I won't stay here again. There's 8 other casinos to choose from. I think it was way overoyuy priced.everyone had there hand out expecting money for nothing.there was a bad storm the staff at hotel never informed. Us of it! I had valet parking which should have been in a secure spot but no they park my nice undented car outside.when they have a parking which covered garage that's where it should have been.they told […] me it was safe..ha..its got 100a hail dents in it ...I'm really upset that it was parked out in the weather.. Good times, cheap room, friendly staff, okay casino and stuff. Fit the budget! Real close to airport, 15 minute shuttle without traffic.

The escalator was in dis- repair and out of order so had to take the elevator which smelled like pee, It also needed cleaning,The parking lot was far walk to get into the hotel but not too much you can do about that, There was not to much handicap parking,

We had a nice time at the Harrah in St. Luis, Mo. We were disappointed that there wasn't a pool. We had 2 small kids with us and there really isn't much for them to do at the hotel. So, it's great for adults, but if you have kids with you, I'd re-think staying at this hotel.

Impressive entrance with a big arch over road that says Harrah's. The bed was a little firm for our liking. We ate at Sammy's Bar and liked the Happy Hour. A big pitcher was only $5. The front of each restaurant was different and reminded me of the walkway shops and restaurants going between Bally's and Paris in Las Vegas. Also, the ceiling is painted […] like a sky with clouds. I have stayed at this hotel 2X. First time in a suite and it was nice, but, overpriced. This time I stayed in a standard room and it was okay, but, the price was right. I called regardiing the business center before I arrived to eliminate travelling with my laptop to check email and the hotel confirmed one was available for hotel guests. What they omitted […] was the following: 1. How incovienent the BC was from guest rooms. Down to main floor, walk to casino entrance, go up an escalator, go by the buffett, walk down the length of an adjoining hallway and there it was! 2, The BC included 3 filthy chairs (think public transportation seating or a bus terminal) and one YES one) computer. The computer had a credit card slider in front of the keyboard. The cost you ask? A. A $30 minimum hold on your credit card. B. Fifty cents a minute which is $30 PER HOUR. I opted to delay because at that rate per hour they probably had it on dial up to make more money. Mehr

The room was very comfortable and clean. One of the few hotel rooms that actually looked like the picture on their web site. The front desk attendant was pleasant, as were the valet attendants. Lots of restaurant choices right in the casino, and plenty of gambling choices too. Would recommend and will be back!

Good overall stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the attached casino had plenty of tables without too much smoke. I have three complaints: 1. Unlike a number of patrons at the casino, and unlike other casinos I've visited, I didn't receive any discount coupons or complementary amenities. 2. I was not at all impressed by this hotel. Though we received a great price I would not go back. It wasn't at all what I was expecting for a casino hotel. Spend a little extra and stay at Ameristar!!

Room was great, exceptionally clean. Much more than I had expected. Easy in and out. If I had to find one negative thing would be that the buffet was a little overpriced for a week night. Very nice Hotel!

The room was comfortable and the location was nice. The hallways and the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Dishes from room service stayed outside in the hall all night and the bathroom counters were not clean. Overall, an ok experience and I would go back for the price. A 3 1/2-4 out of 5.

WE had a great time! Courteous staff and great resturants!

They over booked the hotel and all they could say was there's a days inn done the road. After fighting for 25 min I got my room. I couldn't understand why I had to go somewhere else when they over booked and I paid for the room.

On a business trip and enjoyed all the amenities offered. Loved my stay and can't wait to come back for leisure!!

Very clean. Staff very friendly. The bed way to soft. They limited smoking to casino floor and outside which is good for me as I have asthma. As for my husband and I we do think the buffet was not worth the cost. Not a lot of variety. Coffee was ok. Eggs just ho-hum. Our server was pleasant. The cashier no so much. I had a beautiful time at your hotel, but when got to the room, it was so dusty, and i could not sleep. got lung problems really bad. i was so tired from traveling, all I wanted to do is sleep, I am going to visit again, maybe I will look for the dust before I go to bed. I do have pictures,if you need to see them. I will be back soon.

The overall hotel was nice however the location of my room left much to be desired. My room was located right outside of the elevators and everytime someone came and went I heard them. This would not be a problem for a hotel that had little evening traffic, however in a casino people come and go all night long. Needless to say I got very little sleep. […] The room itself was nice except for the hair left on the shower walls. That grossed me out. Mehr

We stayed in the hotel Thursday night and was very dissatisfied. The bed hurt both me and my fiances backs. Our tv didn't work and it took nearly an hour and 3 phone calls to the desk to get someone to come look at it for us. The staff were very unfriendly all around, more woried about speed rather than friendliness and personality. They wouldn't let […] us use any microwave to heat up our food. Mehr

I drive over from Kansas City and Meet my Boyfriend every other Week and ITS the PERFECT place!!! The rooms are Always so Clean and they always give me many more towels. Love the Casino Staff - they are very welcoming and the Front Desk Attendants are getting to know us Both

Usually when you stay at a casino you don't think about the room to much as you won't be in it very long, I had just the opposite experience. I wanted to stay in the room, it was so nice and the bed was super comfortable. The staff did a great job in making you feel welcome and making sure all of your needs are taking care of. We recently stayed for the great price. Knowing the price would come with a catch we were not shocked to find we had the smallest room in the hotel. However I was shocked to find dirty underwear in the drawer and one of the mirrors hanging out of the wall. The slots were really outdated but we were able to play for a few hours and not blow a lot of […] money. You get what you pay for so if you know your getting a motel 6 room but you get to be at the casino and by great food then you will not be disappointed . Mehr

Maybe I should have known better than booking a casino hotel for a business trip, but the rate was good and the airport shuttle seemed awfully convenient. I arrived at SLU, called for the shuttle and waited a half hour for it to arrive, then we went to terminal two and waited 45 minutes for some high roller to pick up his bags and come out! It took […] an hour and a half from the time of calling until we arrived at the front desk, and the clerk's response was "Oh, that's too bad." Add that to the smell of smoke drifting from the casino throughout the first level, no free internet, and distance from the city - and I have to say this is not the place for business travelers! If this place lit on fire, it would be panic and hysteria like the titanic, with 100 rooms per halways with nothing but doors and carpets through out. If their tvs were not so specially designed they could have.put a good tv instead.

Large room with super-comfy beds, a great bathroom, very quiet, lots of electrical outlets. Friendly front desk staff. One flaw: no desk or table in room for laptop. Other than that, worth every penny. This was my second visit here, will definitely return.

The room, staff and hotel were great! Wonderful variety of food for dinner without having to leave the property. Easy on and off I70. Harrah's hotel was a very good choice for that trip. High fee for internet use the only downfall.

The hotel was clean the people were nice, I enjoy everything except the buffet , so next time I will gamble, drink, party and have a nice time without the buffet.

I enjoyed the entire stay..

I know it's a casino, but casinos have pools. This hotel has no pool. Closes water to swim in is the rive. Invest in a pool.

The Harrahs is a very nice hotel. I would stay there again when we come back to St Louis. You have a lot of choices to Eat at this hotel.

I reserved a king bed room at this casino/hotel after a local sporting event 2 hours away from home, upong checking in I was informed that they were overbooked and all that was available was a room with 2 doubles. I could have either taken a smoking room(which smelled horrific because we attempted it) or upgrade to a suite for an additional $50 to get […] the size bed I already paid for. The front desk clerk said they can't guarantee the room I reserve because people often extend their stays or the hotel gets overbooked. So what happens if I have their last room "reserved" and arrive to find out their overbooked? Am I forced to upgrade or do I have to sleep in the lobby? I'm sorry but as a full grown adult staying with my fiancé, a double bed was just too small. Very dissatisfied with this stay because I ve stayed at this casino enough to know that not every king sized non smoking bed fills up on a tuesday Mehr

I have stayed in a Harrah’s before and loved the experience. I was in town visiting a friend and was looking forward to spending the weekend at a nice place. After driving 5 hours I arrive at the hotel and had to wait a while to get my room. Finally we loaded everything onto a cart and the bellhop followed me to my room. When we open the door the room […] was a complete disaster. Beds were unmade, dirty towels were in the floor, and food containers were laying everywhere. They had given me a room that had not been cleaned. This had never happened to me before. The bellhop tried calling the front desk but no one would answer. We made our way back to the elevator where he used that phone to try and call the front desk again, and again no answer. We had to go all the way back to the front desk. I explained what had happened and told the girl at the desk that I had never experienced that before. She did not even apologize for her mess up. She gave me new keys and we headed off again. This room was clean but she put me all the way at the end of the hall. The walk was ridiculous after the previous adventure and the walk we had to make with that. Even the bellhop was embarrassed about my treatment. This is the kind of service I received all weekend. I am used to casino hotel staff being very eager and willing to assist. This was not so here. The hotel was also not in good condition. The carpets were old and stained in places. The walls had water marks and stains. I will not be staying here again. Mehr
