Magnuson Hotel Knoxville - Knoxville

Entering the lobby is a step back in time, and not in a historic or nostalgic way. It appears to have not been updated, or for that matter even cleaned, since the 1970's. The carpets were worn and dirty, our curtains were torn, the wallpaper was peeling and stained, the toilet leaked, a lamp did not work, etc. To top it off, breakfast was advertised […] as being included, but when we went to the dining room on Sunday morning we were first told that the cook was late, and that we would have to order off of the menu anyway since it was a weekend. This was the absolute worse hotel i have ever stayed at. They advertised rooms with two queen beds. My wige and I have three children and so i knew we would really need bigger beds. We got there and they were full sized. When i complained they tried to tell me they were queensized but according to the label the wete full. It advertises a bar on the […] lobby. it is more like a club. We were on the fourth floor and I could still here the music thumping and the drunks outside yelling. It was filthy. Stained and cigarette burned sheets, Nasty faded carpet, it smelled like a garbage heep everywhere, and dont be suprised to find someone elses hair in the sheets. The service was horrid amd the finding machines charge 1.50 for a 12 ounce can of soda. Dont stay here if you know whats good for you. Mehr

the staff was friendly and helpful my wife and Ienjoyed dancing at the bar we slept soundly slept till about 1030 check out was at noon which was nice we will be back

hotel rooms not clean

This was the most dirty, nasty hotel I have ever stayed and we were suppose to be on non smoking floor and a girl comes walking down the hall with her cig. and gets on the elevator with it! The room smelled musty and moldy and the chairs were nasty and stuff hanging out the bottom. I would not recommend this hotel for my dog. I cannot put into words […] how nasty this hotel was. Stuff peeling from walls. I wouldn't even take a shower it was so nasty. Mehr

This hotel was perfect if you wanted a getaway to film a movie. An adult movie. The staff was nice, the hotel was not. Wall paper was coming off the walls, the placed smelled like an ashtray. Only reason I stayed here was that I was foolish and did not reserve a room earlier for the football game that weekend. NEVER will I stay here again.

It took 20 min to check in. They acted like they didnt even know you could book a room form them on hotels.com. The atmostphere is like a 1970's hotel in vegas with out the gambling. The hotel smelled bad and the room even worse. On top of it all they double charged me. Avoid this hotel if at all possible.
