Astoria Hotel - Antwerpen

Für Anspruchslose ein gutes Hotel in der City und der Preis ist okay ,jedoch Parken zu teuer auch im Hotelparkhaus und schlecht mit Fahrzeuge über 2 m Höhe. Mind. 15,80 € pro Tag (Wahnsinn).

Das Hotel ist sauber, modern eingerichtet und das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Dazu ist der Preis fair. In nur wenigen Gehminuten erreicht man die Haupteinkaufsstraße. Vom Hauptbahnhof ist das Hotel ebenfalls nicht mehr als 500m Luftlinie entfernt.

Ideale Lage für Städtetrip, zentral, dennoch ruhig. Sehr kalte, ungemütliche Ausstattung des Frühstücksraums, anständiges Frühstück mit Auswahl. Das Hotel bietet alles, was man für eine anständige Übernachtung braucht, für längeren Aufenthalt zu ungemütlich.

Ich reise sehr viel geschäftlich und wünsche mir für den Aufenthalt in den Hotels Ruhe, Sauberkeit, Komfort und freundliche Menschen. Das findet man im zentral gelegenen Hotel Astoria. Ich war sehr überrascht über die Ausstattung, die eher einem 4* Hotel entspricht. Alles ist neu und gepflegt. Kostenloses Wifi im Zimmer funktioniert sofort. Das Hotel hat einen etwas düsteren Eingangsbereich. Freundliches Personal. Reichhaltiges Frühstück mit Koscher-Abteilung für jüdische Hotelgäste. Parkplätze sind Mangelware. As a business trip, it works for me. Not for a vacation though.

This is a real 3 star hotel, absolutely nothing more. It is clean, it is boring, a bit grey, breakfast buffet is ok, room is ok, bathroom is a bit depressing but absolutely clean but not soundproof, environment is extremely grey but you are only a 7 min walk away from the big shopping avenue. I did not get less than what I paid for so I can not be disappointed, […] if you are on a budget this hotel is fine. Now I understand why this hotel had so high reviews while the 4 and 5 star hotels have lower reviews, people who live in 3 star hotels are less cranky and don't expect much. Hotel is a convient walk from historic Antwerp Central station and is in the diamond district. I walked to Grote markt and Rubenhius from hotel. The Astoria had a helpful staff and a nice beverage/food stand (sodas, beer, fruit, etc). Breakfast also had a variety of choices. I would defintely stay here again.

The hotel was lovely. Stayed for one night with my OH. Room was warm and clean. Bathroom was large and very clean. Hotel is a little bit dated but its still fine. It is not placed in the center, but you can get there walking by the most famous shopping street. Breakfast has really everything. I would stay here again no doubt.

Very friendly staff and great location made for a great stay. Most mornings the manager came to the breakfast room and went from table to table to welcome guests (each in their own language) and make herself available if anyone had questions or needs. Really very welcoming! Revolving front door was always locked, so they would either buzz in or you […] use key card...made us feel more secure. Could only fit two in a room, so had to take second room for our son. Would come back in a heartbeat! Mehr

The Hotel Astoria in Antwerp was an excellent small hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, the service was first-rate, the breakfast was very nice --- all in all, a 4 1/2 on a 5 scale for value and accommodations. (Not a five-star hotel, but it was exactly what I was hoping for ... at a very reasonable rate.)

Spent one night in Astoria. Main reasons for choosing the hotel was location, price (good breakfast and WLAN included) and recommendations. Service OK, rooms OK, location OK.. Worth its price.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of this room. It was a single King on an upper floor, with a view out over the street. The bed wasn't the most comfy, but they never are in Europe! Furnishings were newer, bathroom was nice and big, decent flat screen TV, VG wireless internet signal. Breakfast was also pleasant and plentiful in the […] mornings. Fairly convenient to the train station .... we walked with our bags. Getting to the old part of Antwerp is a 10 or 15 minute walk, though. It's pleasant enough and you can stay away from the seedier areas around the train station. Good stay. Mehr

Except for the fact that my room was contiguous to the elevator, everything was perfect : room, neighbourhood, breakfast, friendliness...

This hotel is 5 minutes walk from Antwerpen Centraal station then a further 15 - 20 minute walk from the main old town area. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast of a good standard.

Staff was very helpful

The hotel is a very good tourist class place. No problems at all during the stay, efficient reception, clean and comfortable rooms and a decent/varied continental breakfast. There are no sweeping views of the town as its location is in a quiet side street between a park and the Diamond District, a 10 minute walk from the station and main shopping area […] and only a 15 minute or so walk to the Old Town. You wouldnt find a place like this in London or several other major cities at this price/standard. Mehr

My boyfriend and I stayed at Astoria for four nights and although the bathroom and decor such as the headboard and vanity in the bedroom were a little dated the bed linen, curtains, towels, tv, carpet, etc were all very nice quality and new. The hotel was very clean and all of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. They accommidated us in everything […] we requested. The location is brilliant particurlarly if you're going diamond shopping and also very close to the train station/ zoo/ diamond museum. Mehr

Reasonably priced and walking distance to everything.

Astoria hotel is a great choice for Antwerp if you are on a budget and want great value. The location is not great, but good. It's about a 10 minute walk to the central rail station, and about 15-20 to the central part of the old town; you can also take metro or tram. The hotel room was reasonably sized, very clean and orderly, and everything functioned […] well; no luxuries of any kind, and certainly no view, but decent. The bathroom was quite spacious and very comfortably appointed. The hallways, however, are very dingy and depressing, badly in need of a makeover. The daily breakfast is excellent, and I found the front desk staff to be extremely helpful and courteous. We needed a slightly later check-out, and they were very accommodating, plus they were helpful with local transportation and sightseeing tips. And they all spoke very fluent English. Mehr

We were very satisfied with everything about this hotel, except for the beds--but these were no different than most European hotels, which have not discovered soft mattresses. The breakfast was included and was terrific--everything you could want. Service was very friendly. We'd stay again.

WE just loved this hotel. Good and modern designs. Good service and friendly receptionist. We recieved a free welcome drink. The hotel is just a little walk from the train station.

Stayed 4 nights. Hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the diamond district and near the central rail station. Great staff, great breakfast buffet (included ), and on site parking is available at additional cost. Hotel is very quiet and is located on a one way street. Modern decor and recently updated.throughout. You don't need a car for anything […] as you are one block away from the subway and numerous bus routes. These provide easy and quick access to the shopping and historical district and many sights and monuments. A great stay overall. Mehr

It was a very pleasant experience. The receptionist was very helpful. Hotel was spanky clean and breakfast was simply superb.

This is a great hotel for Antwerp. The room comes with a HOT buffet breakfast for free, which is rare in Europe. It is in a central location, about 5 minutes walk from the Central train station. The hotel itself is in a quiet area next to a park which is good for sleeping, but close to the center. The hotel is in Antwerp's diamond district so the area […] is safe and very well policed. Mehr

The hotel is located close to the train station if your focus is on day trips to bruges and gent. Its a 15/20 minute walk from the old town. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly and efficient. We were looking for a 1 night stopover location and the proximity to the train station combined with the price led us to the Hotel Astoria. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice with all expected amenity. The location was about a 10 minute walk from the train station or main shopping area and about 20 minutes from the main tourist […] area. We could not get the in room internet to work, but didn't try very hard or ask for help. We would stay at this hotel again with no hesitation. Mehr

We were looking for a few days to get away and unwind and ended up at the Astoria in Antwerp and were very glad we did. Nice staff, nice hotel and good breakfast with a decent selection. The location isn't too central but still very close to a number of good restaurants and an easy walk from the train station. Stadspark, the park just a block away, […] is a great place to run, walk, or just hang out. Overall, it's a great place to stay. Mehr

We booked the Astoria for a one-night stopover having read a lot of reviews. We found the hotel excellent value. It is in the diamond area and some reviews say this is a long way from the 'city centre'. The diamond district is part of the city centre and what they mean is that it is not in the historic old town but that is only about a pleasurable […] 10-15 minutes walk away!! It is a few minutes walk from the train station so excellent if you're travelling by train. If you were travelling by car I would recommend enquiring about this ahead of your visit. The breakfast was excellent: a good selection of breads, pastries, cereals, fruits and eggs. My only negative comment would be the unavailability of free wi-fi which I consider to be standard these days but not enough of a problem to prevent me from recommending this hotel. We found free wi-fi anyway at the excellent Flemish bar/restaurant in the old town recommended to us at reception. Mehr

All you would expect of a 3 star hotel. Clean, Good staff - well trained. Would have liked a restaurant in our hotel but you could use their sister hotel around the corner. A bit of a seedy area and would have preferred the Old Town. Having said that the hotel was close to train station and hundred of eating places, buses and shops.

Clean and Tidy and in very good location

Comfortable, clean and close to station - we got a great deal for two day stay! Interesting area (diamonds!). Walk into old part OK but transport if needed. We had been travelling around Belgium and this was a typical city-hotel. Breakfast room lovely and service great. We'd stay again, for sure.

Nestled into the diamond district of Antwerp, a gem's throw away from Antwerp Centraal Station, Hotel Astoria is good value, clean and comfortable. A bit of a walk from any bits of Antwerp that you might actually want to see (unless you like trains or diamonds) but worth it for the price. Thanks again!

Fint ophold i en dejlig by, tæt på stationen.

Hotellet er placeret i gåafstand fra Central station. Tæt på hovedgaden. Gratis internet overalt på hotellet, noget der en mangelvare på de andre hoteller i byen. Morgenmaden er incl. og den bedste jeg har fået på hoteller i byen. Så det bliver der jeg overnatter næste gang.
