TV channels were every limited. The bathroom shower was slow to drain and water pressure very low. Breakfast buffett very limited.

This hotel was clean, but old. The room was very expensive considering the quality of the room.

This is the second time I have stayed here. Nice location, friendly staff, large room with a good size mini-fridge, and clean. The bathroom is showing its age but all fixtures worked. Only down thing was there was a wedding party going on and the noise permeated the whole building, but they ended by midnight at least. Plenty of room to park in the parking […] garage. Don't pay too much to stay here, but for a night or two, it is perfectly fine. Mehr

At first look, this hotel appears to be just a place to rest your head. After checking in, and entering my room assigned for the night....I asked for the single queen. Laying on the bed is the biggest suprise......REALLY COMFORTABLE!!! The A/C was good and cold. I would stay at this hotel again, the staff went out of their way to get me a bag of ice. GREAT LOCATION FOR OUR NEEDS

Honestly, I expected a lot worse. We got two rooms (unfortunately not adjoining due to a front desk error) for a great deal. There was a continental breakfast included which was set up as early as 5 am! There's also a good size fridge and microwave in all the rooms. Great deal, great location, will definitely stay here again when we use Lakeland-Linder […] Airport. Mehr

Plumbing was an issue. toilet moved, sink had to wait 15 minutes for hot water due to water saver aerators, and the shower head was old and the tub drained very slowly!!!!

I reserved a non-smoking room. When we arrived late in the evening and checked into to the room, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. When I called the desk to change the room I was told there were no other rooms available. They said come back the next day and there would be a room available. The second day we were out all day. PLASTER DUST ON FURNITURE. INSUFFICIENT HOT WATER LISTED BREAKFAST VERY SKIMPY

On the positive side the staff was wonderful. The went out of their way to make things right. Unfortunetly it was impossible to do. The Hotel is need of majar renovation

we arrived late people were very friendly, the room was ok except never got clean towel or glasses coffee pot was never cleaned through the stay shower took forever to warm & payed extra 4 jagussi room & it didnt work .... bed was made but never changed linens

This hotel has had it's ups and downs, but my last stay was pleasing. The staff was great, the room was clean and comfortable. I had a mini frig, microwave, and TV. Although the TV was very small, it still had cable channels. Overall a good stay for the price and nicely located close to shopping and restaurants.

this has got to be the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time,everyone and evrything were fabulaus.wow is all i can say ,,,,.

My boyfriend and I live in Lakeland, and we decided to have a little "staycation" before he left for the Army. When we arrived, everything was fine. We checked in, got our keys, and headed up the elevator. I've never heard a more terrifying sound than that of the elevator groaning and struggling to get to our floor! We found our room, which LOOKED great, […] but upon further inspection, we realized that there were some minor things missing that seemed perplexing. There was a basket of ground coffee with all the tools needed to make a fresh brew, but no coffee maker. The remote was no where to be found, and, worst of all, the bed was so uncomfortable I could barely sleep. It felt like I was sleeping on the floor, which was probably more comfortable than the bed. Probably the only formidable aspect of the room was the bathroom, except that the shower was a bit small for my liking. As for service, I've never seen a more disinterested crowd of people. Not only did they dress poorly, as if they were hanging out at a bar-which there is one, so maybe they just hung out in there-but they gave different information. On our way to our room, I asked the man at the front desk if they served breakfast. He said yes, until 10. The next morning, we go downstairs for breakfast, and there was nothing. I turned to the woman at the desk and asked her about breakfast, and she says, "Oh, we're serving coffee and muffins this morning." They were the same muffins from the night before. Needless to say, we totally wasted our money going there, and we'll never go back! Mehr

The hotel was dated but ok. Resturant was dirty (dirty hand prints on door going into kitchen, milk was sour, The place needs paint behind front desk. the lady behind dest was tripping over everything due to excessive clutter.Hallways were very hot but room was cool. need to clean whirlpool tub we would not get in due to black flakes floating around. […] the picture of hotel looks better than in person.but the bed was ok and room itself was ok. When we got there the TV remote would not work. The hair dryer was broken. They brought up a new remote. We had a desk lamp that would not work so I borrowed a light bulb from a table lamp in the hall, the lamp still would not work, I even tried a different outlet. On our first full day there it took them till late afternoon to get the room cleaned. […] The mattress on the queen size sofa bed could have been more comfortable. They did not have a flat screen TV and the one that they had was not easily viewable from the sitting area of the suite. Mehr

Clean, comfortable but old and totally devoid of character or charm. A reasonably good value but it's a place to sleep, not a place to relax and hang out.

The hotel had a musty oder throughout. The showers were dark and no place to set any shower items but in the tub. And I could tell they were not moved so I don't know if they cleaned the tub or not. There weren't a lot of channel options with the tv. The AC was so loud that the tv had to be turned up to hear it over the AC. A couple of days the cleaning […] staff did not take away the cup that I had used in the bathroom. I found the ice machines to be hard to get to. The slot for the key card was very tight and hard to remove the card. Mehr

There was no lampshade on one of the main lights. The telephone didn't work.The room was over the bar and the patrons shouted and laughed until 2:30 in the morning. This place has gone straight down hill in the last few years. I wouldn't go back.

I wish I could say something nice but it was really bad. We did not have a lot of choices because it was the Sun & Fun air show weekend and everything else was sold out... We paid too much for what we got... The only thing positive was the location. I know I've read this before and it's true...The card key does not fit in the door, very thigh. Don't […] be surprise and push and pull very hard. The bath tub was nasty looking, the mat was all grey and old. The AC did not smell too good, thankfully we've brought Lysol and sprayed around the room. Worst pillows ever = bad sleep Breakfast was nasty, I would not even feed this to my dog. we will NEVER stay here again! The room was ok on check in...however the toilet would not flush and was given a plunger to fix myself and when that was used toilet overflowed. I was then given towels to clean it up myself and maintenance never came and at this point it was reaching 11pm and we had to be up early and at ball fields at 7am for my 11yr […] old daughter..i had to ask for another room with working toilet since they never offered one to me and that room they put me in which was on the next floor thru 3 huge doors and down long hallways..get in that room and its 85+ degrees the AC unit is torn apart and wires hanging everywhere ..so then me and my daughter lug all our stuff back downstairs and say this is ridiculous and you need to fix it and it was almost as if i was the one being unreasonable..PLEASE?!?!?!? oh and not to mention the clerk who seemed rather unhappy with her job, gave me the wrong directions to the ballpark!!!!..friends had much nicer room at the super 8 10 mins down the road, which is where I will stay next time for sure!! I guess I was disappointed with the condition of the hotel overall. Its look very nice on the outside, but the inside it a different story. The elevator had a bad odor. The lamp and the lamp shades was all rusty. I really expected it to be much nicer. To get hot water i had to let the run for at least 10 minutes just to get it warm. They need to update […] the TV. We arrived late and were suprised at the cheerful greeting we recieved from the young lady at the front desk. The room was fairly well kept, and housekeeping did a very good job. The only downside to our stay was the fact that some of the ammenities were in need of replacement. For example, the toilet seat was peeling, literally. Upon entering the holel, the lobby was very nice. Most of the staff were very rude, we only found one person that was nice. There are 3 elevators, however, only one works, it's fast, but really, only one? The room looked very nice, the air conditioning was great (it was over 100 outside), the shower water pressure was very good. The beds were TERRIBLE! […] There is a parking garage on the property, but no way to get from the garage to the hotel....hummm. The location, however was very good. Lots of good resturants close, not walking close, but close. Mehr

Duie to my work, I needed a hotel offering internet access in the room. This hotel advertises it. I double-checked before arriving that there would be no problem and was assured there wouldn't be. This was in June 2009. Not once in three days could I get Internet access; the front desk told me their tech "was working on it" and when a day went by and […] still no service but same story, the clerk's comment was "Well, it isn't out problem." Well, YES it is - they advertised a service they did not provide. Also, coffee makers that only make one cup of coffee at a time are not helpful when there is more than one person in a room. Also, since they advertise for business and family, a make-up or shavig mirror in the bathroom would be nice - as well as shower heads that put out more than a tiny stream of water. Location - exellent. Comfort, decent. Services - nada. Mehr

I was in Lakeland for one night. The Imperial Swan is convenient, comfortable and clean with a professional staff, willing to help whenever asked. A good value for the money. There were problems with Internet connectivity in my room, so the front desk manager allowed me to download and print critical documents related to my business.
