Wonderful hotel. Would have been better if they had a complimentary breakfast.

As a business traveler I really appreciated the adjustable chair at the work station and the movable table that fit underneath the desk but I could use for breakfast or dinner while sitting in front of the TV. The surrounding landscape almost makes you forget that you are in a business area. Definitely would stay here again.

Nice hotel, great grounds but not much around that was close. You definitely need a car or a taxi to get to something outside of the immediate area. All in all it was nice but I think the breakfast was overpriced for what you got.

We loved the hotel, for the price it exceeded our expectations, everything was great, not crowded, no noise, nice pool, nice environment, very very clean, great TV. plenty of parking,( east side needs more ilumination). had to go out at night to my car and more ilumnation is required. near fast food places, food market, Target etc..... Phone next to bed wasnt working. TV wasnt working. When I called down to front desk to ask for help he said, "Don't know what else to do. We dont have any technicians to go up to your room." In addition, people were in the hall/lobby talking which echoed thru the halls 3 am in the morning. Not expected to be a 3 star hotel. More like 1.

This was a nice hotel for the most part. It seems that they did a recent remodel. However, something’s are pretty but not functional. For example the bathroom sink. If you try to wash your face in the sink you get water spilling on the floor. The sink is very small with a big/tall faucet. There is no place to put your face other than outside of the […] bowl. Also the bath tub did not fill with water. I wanted to take a bath one night, but couldn't. I was also not impressed with the Internet access. They claim that they have wired room access but after several attempts we could not get it to work. There was wireless, however, I had to sit outside my room to get a signal. Mehr

The hotel worked perfect for us. We were only a 15 minute drive from Gaslamp downtown and about 15 from mission beach. Centrally located but you can not walk to anything from here. The little golf course was fun for my wife to play for the first time. it was cheap to play for the very beginner course. There was not a bum on the 7th hole like I read. […] Go to Phillips Pizza just up the street from here. The better part here than the other hotels was parking was free and they had a microwave and fridge. The customer service was great but the lady where you pay for the golf had a attitude and was probably the worst part of this hotel. Mehr

I really like the hotel. You won't get much interaction with the staff but what you get is friendly. I like the hotel rooms and ours was very clean. Comfort level in the rooms is very poor only because the beds are so small. I will get veto'd the next time I want to stay here because of the bed situation but, my wife agrees we like the property. Great location, lots of parking,overall great stay!

CONS: 1 black big spider in the room next to the AC unit on the floor; should be easier to open/close the drapes; 1 of our magnetic keys didn’t work all the time; expired decaf coffee (but we don’t drink decaf anyway); the first back door to the right of the main entrance couldn’t be opened with the magnetic key all weekend long; AC not working in the […] Fitness Room; noisy room, because we were next to the Stairs; the dress code for the bar/lounge area wasn’t mentioned on the website so we couldn’t use it although we would have had free access. PROS: VERY CLEAN ROOM& BATHROOM (sheets & towels), very clean pool (they even offered clean towels), VERY comfortable bed (king MATRESS) + pillows ; very helpful staff. Although it is next to an airport it is a quiet location + our room was far away from the bar/lounge area. Overall we had a pleasant stay and we’ll go back next time we’ll be in town. The hotel is located right next to the freeway so it's easy to get around. However, customer service is extremely slow and not always the most helpful.

other than having trouble with the remote control 2 different days, my stay was good. Room clean and comfortable.

I was very satisfied with everything in this hotel. The staff satisfied all of my expectations. Very courteous, and helpful for us out of towners. The hotel was very clean, very beautiful view from our room. The hotel also includes a golf course, outside patio and a clean swimming pool. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.

We enjoyed the open, spacious feel of the hotel. It was very clean. Nice grounds to sit and read or take a walk. Not thrilled with the service. We arrived at 3:30 PM but had to request pillows 4 times before they were finally brought to us at 11 PM. Early in the morning the bathroom sink backed up into the bathtub- nasty smells, and no showers for us. […] The hotel was willing to give us another room to shower in, but it required a wait and we had to be at our event early in the morning. the room was not expensive regarding the qulity of the hotel. The room was clean, the king bed comfortable. The hotel is very close to the freeway 163, 5 and 805 so it's easy to go to the city center and other major places to see.

I recently stayed here with my girlfriend for a night. It was okay, a little noisy and strangely laid out. Seemed a bit overpriced for what we actually received. The hotel restaurant rushed us and it was a little dingy. The worst offense though was that the hotel itself never entered us into their system. So technically, we were not staying at the […] hotel. Sounds great, right? Free room! No, I still had to pay, and worse, at one point when I was in the shower, the hotel staff BROKE INTO MY ROOM. They said they called, but when they found the door locked and a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door, they just had to get inside. As I mentioned earlier, as I wasn't in the system, they thought the room was vacant, but why they ignored a bolt-locked door and a DO NOT DISTURB sign is beyond me. The best hotel management could do is offer me a discounted rate for a later stay. One that I'll probably never leverage. Horrible. Mehr

Absolutely loved this hotel. Loved this hotel so much that I won't stay anywhere else when in the San Diego area. The bed was as comfortable if not more so than my bed at home.

The Four Points on weekends has a lounge with music and dancing. If you are staying here you do not pay a cover charge as long as you show your Room Key. Music was great. DJ practically had any song you asked whether it was Salsa, Hip Hop, Latin, etc. He did know his stuff. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel staff is friendly and eager to help with any issues that arise. I travel for work several times a month to San Diego and I always check this hotel for a deal before booking elsewhere.

I stayed in your hotel 2 weeks earlier than this stay. The second room was not as well maintained as the first room. The shower valve required a muscle man to turn the valve. There was no toilet paper rack. The AC was very loud and the fan blow right over the bed instead of dispersing around the room. The weekend we stayed here there was a huge dance convention. They failed to mention that on saturday night the parking lot would be overwhelmed with cars. Even the blocks nearby were filled with cars. We spent two ours trying to compete for a spot with people who didn't even pay for a room. Management offered nothing to rectify the problem and made […] us feel second class. I wouldn't waste my time again with this hotel's supposed 'free'parking because apparently it's free for the whole neighborhood. It isn't something you would want to worry about on a trip. Mehr

For the low rate I paid to stay at this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and clean. The common areas are plain and simple.

The hotel was fine with the exception of the business center which had a single, slow computer and no printer. The gym also left a lot to be desired.

The hotel is very nice, spacious,quiet, and pretty.

Hotel was very clean and the customer service was great. The room was so clean, it looked like it had new carpet and furniture. The bed was the most comfortable bed I had slept in in a hotel. I liked that I couldn't hear my neighbors, too! The ONLY thing I could think of that could use improvement was the A/C in the common areas of the hotel. It was […] a bit muggy/hot there, but the room temperature was perfect. Also, it was tricky to get there, internet directions were wrong, but once I figured out the freeway situation, it was fine. Check in is at 3pm. We got in at 4:30pm Sat (Labor Day weekend). We specified double full beds when we booked on Hotel.com (yes, there was a disclaimer that request may not be accomodated). The counter clerk said there's no more double beds available, so he gave us a Single King. He also asked whether we wanted 1st,2nd or 3rd floor rooms. We didnt care […] at the time and was given one of the first floor. Bad service 1: There was only 1, yes ONE bath towel (several hand towels). We had to ask several times for someone to get us more towels, and they came wih only 1, yes, only ONE more bath towels. Bad service 2: We called operator to request more bath towels, but NO ONE picked up the phone! After several calls! We ended up asking the cleaning lady for more towels. Bad service 3: We showered, all total about 1hr (cuz of having no towels), and figured we needed a 2nd or 3rd floor room because our 1st floor was next to the pool and we had no privacy if we want to open the curtains. Well, clerk came back with "No other rooms available except 1st floor!!"...this was about 1hr after we checked in and was given a choice previously!. Bad service 4: We complain about the towels to the "Manager" as we go out for dinner. The "Manager" said by the time we get back, there would be towels in our room. When we came back - yup, you guest it. NO NEW TOWELS! Bad problem 5: We also found when we came back that our bathroom floor was wet with a puddle of water! There was a leak from the ceiling! Bad service 6: We asked for another room and was given another one on the third floor (yup, that wasn't available previously!!). Bad problem 7: Our new room was a smoking room...just open the door and get a whiff even before walking in. We made it clear we wanted a non-smoking room. Bad service 8: The "Manager" said there were no other rooms available - all booked! Not a single one available, since it was late Sat during the Labor Day weekend. This hotel was a great value. Very Clean with a good location to most attractions in San Diego. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We will recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to San Diego.

Room was nice, good location for our needs, very clean lobby and public area. the bed was very hard. could not get a good night's sleep, but otherwise the room was fine

I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the super plush bed (I have a bad back and hotel beds always hurt my back, but this bed was as good if not better than my bed at home) and amenities in the room. It was well worth the price, and I'll definitely stay there again.

We were looking for an inexpensive, but clean and safe hotel room for a quick beach trip. We were also looking for a dog-friendly hotel. This hotel has a great pet policy - no weight restriction and a reasonable price. It isn't the newest hotel, but it has been updated and the room was clean and comfortable.

Not only is The Four Points by Sheraton in San Diego in a location that is isolated and inconvenient, the room was uncomfortably warm and stuffy when we checked in. It took too long for the ancient air conditioner to cool things down. Worst of all, after spending a day playing at the beach and only wanting to freshen up with a shower upon arrival at […] the room before heading to the Gaslamp District, we were checked into a room with no soap!!! We discovered this on our own because no one at the front desk bothered to mention the housekeeping staff had run out of soap when servicing the rooms. When I called down, I was told soap was being purchased for the guests' rooms and we would be supplied with some shortly. It took over an hour and a half before any soap arrived at our room!!!
