We were looking for a hotel to stay overnight with our 2 children, en route to visiting family and friends. We were very pleased with the price we paid for a family room and breakfast. The room was quite big and the sofa bed and pull out bed for the children were both very comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We would definitely use […] it again. Mehr

If you need a hotel close to Reading and all you need is a place for food/drink and sleep - this does the job well.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn again having stayed there previously 2 weeks ago whilst visiting family. On both occasions we received excellent customer service and was very satisfied with the room and breakfast. We will use this hotel again.

Friendly & efficient staff, very comfortable room. Only criticisms are that we found a jar of Marmite under the bed and the cost of breakfast was ridiculous as we only require toast and tea, so we didn't have any.

we stayed there for the rugby at majeski stadium so the location was great, the staff were helpful the only downside really was the bar attached wasn`t open and breakfast was disorganized, it felt a bit like a free for all with no information on what to do. also when we got there hotels.com had not left a note on the computer system that the room had […] already been paid for so i nearly paid twice had i not checked my bank. Second stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet hotel. Room a decent size and clean. Plenty of tv channels. Trouser Press, Plenty of towels, tea and coffee etc. Decent amount of pillows! Good facilities, reasonably priced restaurant, bar and child friendly. Pub next door. Breakfast is fantastic. No stairs. No free wifi. Child's bed is quite hard. […] Can be a trek to your room. I don't think you'll find a better hotel in Reading and I've tried most; certainly not for the price. Chip shop and supermarket directly opposite the hotel. Petrol station just over the roundabout, a few mins from motorway junction. Quite difficult to find. Once you come off the motorway at junction 11 you need to bear left for Reading a33 and then keep your eyes open for Whitley signs!!! Hotel on your immediate left off whitley roundabout on the corner of two roads and lit up like a beacon so we did feel a bit daft when we drove past it. Book with confidence. Mehr

Clean and tidy room. Enjoyed the buffet full english breakfast. Had a good time at the hotel's indoor swimming pool. ideal for family holiday accommodation near legoland ***

I would most likely book another Holiday Inn room. However, I would like to see veggie sausage for breakfast. Other the this a wonder atmosphere to stay at.

great stay just perfect

Nice hotel, very clean and staff very helpful. Our room was a little noisy though, you could hear every step you took. Nice breakfast and nice little lego section for the children to play with.

Greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist, who checked us in with no fuss, and answered all our questions. Room was very cold when we got there but soon warmed up when we turned the heating on. Bathroom was clean but a little "tired". All staff friendly and efficient. Food was quite expensive for what was basically pub grub, but it was quite adequate […] for our needs.Good beer. Didnt get a chance to use the spa and health centre due to lack of time. Hotel very easy to find, just off M4. All in all, just right for what we needed,and would stay again. Mehr

Good value accommodation .The bar food was of airline standard and substantially overpriced. Also being asked to pay before your food arrives was insulting.

Very nice hotel for a very good price. Great pool, great restaurent, helpful staff. What more could you want?

Had a very pleasant stay here. There was a mix up with our bar food order but that was only problem we encountered and it was rectified to our satisfaction. A lift would be an asset.

From the moment my wife and I booked in at the reception desk on saturday to the time we left on the sunday, the staff were very efficient and attentative. They all treated us with courtesy and and a smile. We could not fault the room or the public areas for design, comfort and cleanliness. We had an excellent breakfast, and apreciated being shown […] to our table and served with our drinks immediately, by cheery and courteous staff, although the hotel was quite busy that weekend with a Wedding party. The only downside was a lot of noise outside our window and in the corridoors at midnight and early in the morning, This was mainly children unsupervised by their parents , which was not actually the fault of the Hotel or staff. I would thoroughly recomend this Hotel,(and probably any Holiday Inn.) Mehr

The hotel is OK, service of staff was excellent, the room was clean, but the strange odour when passing through the ailes was not pleasant. I would choose another one for my next stay.

Love the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, very friendly staff there

This hotel is located close to the M4, reasonably priced, and convenient if you need to travel to the airport early the next day. It is in a long two-story building, and you may have to walk a few minutes to get to your room. There is no elevator. Our room was unattractive but clean. However, there were no towels in it, and we had to call the front […] desk three times (!) before towels (only one large towel per person) finally were delivered by a staff member. There are no restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel's own restaurant and bar are extremely uncomfortable and noisy, with indifferent service and uninspiring menu. Overall, I recommend this place only if you have no better choice. Its standards are below what you would expect from a Holiday Inn in the U.S. Mehr

Great hotel for kids - welcoming and comfortable. Rooms very nice with all facilities, including a mini fridge so you can buy your Legoland picnic! Dinner reasonably priced with free 3 course meal for children. Nice convenient pool facility with lots of other children and welcoming adults. One of the best I've seen.

Servicen på hotellet var eksepsjonell - både resepsjonen, stuepikene og i lobbyen. Rommet var helt greit, og til denne prisen får man mye igjen for pengene. Tok noen minutter med taxi inn til byen, grei beliggenhet.

Det var en lidt underlig oplevelse. Hotellet er meget moderne, med mange faciliteter. Prisen var lav, hvilket personalet straks søgte at kompensere for, ved at sælge os morgenmad til nææsten samme pris som værelset (4 personer). Der ligger et supermarked lige over for, så der er penge at spare, hvis man køber lidt brød og pålæg i stedet. Omgivelserne […] er kedelige, byen er kedelig, hvis man forventer underholdning. Der er dog gode muligheder for at spise på konceptrestauranter i bymidten. Det er svært at finde rundt i bil på grund af massive anlægsarbejder. Vi brugte GPS, men alligevel for vi vild flere gange. Selv om hotellet virker moderne er det et klientel fra lokalområdet, som bruger hotellets bar. Det skal man måske være forberedt på. Men alt i alt giver hotellet fuld valuta for pengene, hvis man får en lav pris. Mehr
