Embassy Suites Dulles Airport Hotel - Herndon

My Stay at the Embassy Suites was really nice at their Chantilly location. Neighborhood, Service, Ambience, Amenities was excellent. Friendly for kids too. Would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and two kids and I stayed at this hotel one December night night before flying out of Dulles for a family vacation in a very warm place. We paid $25 to park the car at the hotel, with a shuttle to the airport, which worked fine, and a promise of a 10-15 minute wait for a pickup on our return. We called for a pickup as soon as we departed the […] plane. We called again as soon as we arrived at Door 6 in baggage claim (where we were instructed to call again). We were told to go wait outside at stop H2 for the shuttle. We were all in shorts and T-shirts so we waited inside for about 8 minutes, then we went out to wait 2-7 more minutes for the shuttle to arrive. It was quite cold and very windy. The wife and kids were uncomfortable. It took the shuttle almost 30 minutes more to arrive. We were all freezing. The driver explained that we'd just missed one, which returned to the hotel then had to come back, and that there had been a shift change in the meantime. Well, I do understand what happened, but I would also say that we paid for a service that we did not receive: parking and expeditious shuttles back and forth from the hotel. The people were all *very* nice but the fact is they let us down by not providing a service they promised and that we paid for. I probably would use the hotel again, for convenience, the free drinks at happy hour, the nice people, and the clean and reasonable room --- and I'd probably give a good review next time --- but I can't do it this time, based on an uncomfortable 30 minutes standing in shorts and a T-shirt in 38 degree wind. the room was very nice and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast. There was 3 of us and we felt there was plenty of room . Would definately recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

My experience over the weekend: Surly front desk employees, old shredded towels in the bathroom, large cracks in the bathtub, a broken in-room telephone, 10-year old computers in the "business center", a hefty fee for wireless internet, dirty dishes sitting outside of our room when we checked in. In short, this is the worst hotel I have stayed in recently. […] There are SO many other good choices around Dulles, I can't imagine why anyone would voluntarily choose to stay here (we were there as part of a wedding bloc, not by choice). This was an excellent find! The staff was exceptionally friendly, the location perfect for getting to Dulles, the room was pleasant and comfortable and the reception and breakfast offerings were delicious!

The area was easy to get to. The room was clean and quiet. Access to area shopping and food was easy to get to. We really enjoyed our stay.

I feel I can never go wrong with an Embassy Suites, and this property was no exception. Very tasteful decor, very elegant, large rooms, close to a busy shopping area, but not too close that I was bothered by noise and traffic. It also had the made-to-order breakfast, and I have to give kudos to the cook. I ordered a Belgian waffle and then accidentally […] doused it with coffee instead of syrup, and he was kind enough to make me another one. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to friends, and would DEFINTELY make a return trip. Mehr

The Embassy Suites Dulles is ideal for the short term traveler. My visit was romantic in nature and the room was exactly what we needed. The only downside was that my request for a quiet room did not come to fruition. There were children in the adjacent rooms that made far too much noise. Over all however the stay was wonderful.

I travel a lot, and love the space Embassy Suites gives. We had the fire alarms go off at 2:00am, and everyone got out. No fire, but nice to see the system works. I would recommend this hotel.

Our room (2 Twin suite) was very nice and everything we needed for the weekend with little ones. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and spacious and plenty of extra pillows and blankets along with a (relatively) comfortable sleeper sofa. The Managers Reception from 5:30-7 was fantastic and the Made to Order Breakfast bar was one of the best I've […] had on any of my travels. Small issues: ** An employee keyed himself into our room after 11 PM and scared my wife to death. This was not good for us. ** We arrived on Saturday afternoon and the hotel did not refresh our room Sunday. We did not expect all new linens and materials but we were looking for fresh, clean towels and glasses. I had to call the front desk three times to get these items but when they finally arrived we were given plenty. Overall we would definitely stay at this location again, the kids loved the pool and breakfast with swans and we enjoyed the clean space. Hope this helps! Mehr

For the price it was very good. A little carefree attitude about children trashing the pool with food from the breakfast buffet. The parents didn't seem to care, and niether did the staff. We would not use the pool after we saw that.
