Very dissapointing. It was cold.

the rooms had outside access which i specifically asked for inside rooms. they put us in smoking rooms which couldn't have been air'd out in years, the towels did not feel clean, and i have been itchy for days now. the noise of trucks going by and people yelling at all hours of the night did not help. in addition, my television would not turn on and […] yes i checked to see if it was plugged in, and there was no internet access. this was definitely the worst experience in a hotel ever, and i have done alot of business traveling. it really makes me wonder why hotels.com would have a hotel like this on your listing. I booked this location because of it's proximety to the hospital. The staff was nice, the beds were un leveled, the toilet had urine stains on it, and there was something sticky on the carpet. It was raining and late when I came in so I was forced to stay. I am not familiar with the area and the money had already been taken off of my credit card. Days […] Inn has never been this bad to me so I am going to say that this experience is specific to this location not the chain. Mehr

first clue is the clerk behind 1.5" bullet proof glass. 2nd clue is TWO police cars stationed at either end of the property. Nice. Room was clean though - but kind of cheap. Continental breakfast was crap. They throw a bunch of so-so pastries out and that's about it. when I got there, I found no coffee cups and was told "that's all there is, sorry" Sorry […] is what I am that I paid them for the stay. Excellent price for the area if you just need a place to crash for the night - single person, young couple etc. If you have a family, look elsewhere

Not the best area of DC and not the best hotel/motel, but ya get what ya pay for. Affordable price on hotels.com, and clean room and sheets.

IT WAS HORRID!!!!!! HEAT DIDNT WORK.. LIGHT WAS BROKEN.... TOWEL RACK WAS BROKEN ! BATHROOM DIRTY !!!! NEVERRRR AGAINNNNNNNN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hotal was clean but that was it.The resturant was closed.The sucuirty must have been none excinted becouse the people next to us were extermelly loud shouting slaming doors ect... all night long so I paid to stay in a room whenI wanted to sleep in a room.Never stayed at a place who allowed so much to go on.I even called the front desk at 2;30 am […] but nothing changed.Gose to show you can have a nice room but it want mean a thing if you cant sleep. Upon arriving at front desk I noticed bullet proof glass which was my first tip that this hotel has major security issues. After checking in I walked past the 70 plus year old watchman. I was instructed to go to the third parking, which I had no idea where it was, to find my room. Good thing I was not handicapped because the elevators where broken. […] The hallway was not lite and smelled like urine, as well as the staircase. Walking to my room the women in the room next to me started screaming and banging on her window and came out andchased me to my door in her nightgown. In the room lampshades were broken, the linens were stained, the doors did not shut all the way and the locks were not secure. I feared for my life and my safety. The condition of the linens were so disgusting and unsanitary I slept in my clothes and checked out the next morning, although i was supposed to stay 4 nights!!!!!!!! DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mehr

I was forewarned the neighborhood isn't the greatest, so I took a cab here instead of walked. The hotel itself was adequate (motel-style) with a standard continental breakfast and free wifi. Although I was given a non-smoking room, it was smoky. The staff quickly switched me to a new, clean room. Free shuttle service to (in the am) and from (in the […] pm) Union Station is a nice perk - the gentleman who drove me was really a nice guy, and not in the fake "service" sort of way. Mehr

This hotel is fine - sure, it's a rough neighborhood, and the facility is old, and residents are sometimes noisy, but overall it's a good value if you need to stay somewhere with access to the H Street/Atlas district of NE. Also, decent restaurant. My only recommendation is to get a room near the hotel office, as the Wifi reception is better.

My daughter stayed here by herself and I would not recommend the hotel again for that situation. Neighborhood outside the hotel did not seem safe.

The hotel is in good condition. But the wireless internet is not usable.

the title says it all. I nornally do not rip any place. but to be honest I was fearful for my safety at this hotel. The neighbor was not good. Within 1 minute of checking in I was asked by a young boy around 12-13 if I had any money I could give him. He would not take no for a answer at first so I walked away from him but checked over my shoulder. I […] also had a broken toilet seat and told the front desk about it however it was never fixed. Theclerk when I check in did not speak english very well and I had a difficult time understandiing him. I would recommend that Days Inn pull there name from this hotel. Mehr

Our hotel at 2700 New York Ave, NE, Washington, D.C. was terrible. It was in a bad neighborhood, and there was constantly yelling and people outside of my room at all hours. I felt unsafe.

hotel room was clean and tidy, internet was ok but dropped in and out. the bus service they provide was very good, but annoying that you had to call them for a pick up, overall very happy with this hotel

After an exhausting train ride from NYC to DC, we called the Days Inn to pick us up from Union Station only to be told we missed the ride and would have to wait another 45min (hotel is less than 20 minutes away even in heavy traffic). First disappointment, then upon arrival, the Days Inn is an 'outside door' motel that everyone watches who goes into […] which rooms-in addition to NO elavator service so we had to lug heavy bags up two flights of stairs. Inside the room we couldn't open the shade as everyone walked by to look in, and we found the smoke alarm-disconnected and laying on the bed! Overall cleanliness was very good . We realized we couldn't find our digital camera so immediately called the front desk to talk to the van driver-he was on his way to Union station (without a fare) and the desk person said she didn't want to call him.... I went down to the front desk to ask her again to please call as if it is in the van, no one but the driver was in it--she refused and played the stupid -limited English routine. Meanwhile we lost valuable minutes and ultimately a camera! We complained again on deaf ears and she finally got the idea that oh-yeah-he was picking up a fare and they might grab it..... Mad with the stupidity and lack of response at the front desk. Mehr

The female staff was excellent, but some of male staff was very annoying and not helpful. The BEST part of this hotel is the attached restaurant. Excellent food and very nice staff.

This hotel was by far the worst hotel i've every stayed in..the room stinked as i opened the door..their was a condom wrapper on the floor in between the beds and their was a stain on the sheets on one of the beds....absolutely disgusting..not only will i never stay at that hotel again but i don't know if or when i will stay at a days inn. Not to mention […] the foreign worker at the front desk did not greet me and the language barrier was more than frustrating. Mehr

PROs: Comfortable bed/ good linen Price Location ( for my purpose of travel) Front desk associate: new girl, nice CONS: I found a battery on the floor, a electrical socket was coming loose from the wall ( could see wires), Lamp bulb in desk was out. Elevators not working Noise at 2am, from above room, very annoying had to call desk, 20 minutes later […] singing finallys stopped. Neutral: deposit 20$ if you want to use the iron which you have to get from the front desk - I found it a hassle since I was not told this at check in ( proper expectations) No lotion- only soap, shampoo and conditioner in bathroom sink. We arrived late, 10:30pm. One receptionist, behind a wall of glass with a small pass through. The first room was freezing, heat was not working. The second room was non-smoking, as we requested from the start, reeked of smoke. The third room was livable. The sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. We found an apple on the floor, red apple-red carpet, […] that was missed after the last guest left. A lot of street noise due to the major intersection 100 feet away. You get what you pay for! Mehr

nice people, convinient surroundings. There's a shuttle bus to Union Station every 45 min, which is very helpful. However, the morning call there couldn't be trust. So, set your own alarm:)

We stayed here for one night while we were in town for a concert at Nationals Park. Took a cab from the hotel to the park. Front desk clerks were professional, not friendly; which is fine by me. It's not in the best neighborhood, but I still felt totally safe. Beds were kinda small, but again, good for one night. Nicer inside than outside. Could tell […] it had recently been remodeled. Pool was small but looked clean. Didn't have time to try it out. Pretty close to major DC attractions, which we drove by, but didn't have time to stop. Worth paying a few extra dollars compared to the other motels in the immediate area. Mehr

Staff was pleasent, shuttle drivers accomodating and reliable. Would reccomend for two days but not any longer. Neighborhood undesireable would have prefered closer to metro station, for the money in taxi fares we could have upgraded to a better hotel. Yes you may still need to use a taxi, morning shuttles were quite full and we weren't willing to wait […] 45 more mins. Would reccomend if on a budget. Parking area was well lit for security. Mehr

The rooms are clean and as expected. Staff is friendly and helpful. Price is right. There is a Chinese restaraunt on site; but, I found that there isn't much else nearby but a couple of fast food chains. Getting to and from DC proper is easy enough with the shuttle going to and from Union station and use of the Metro is not difficult at all. (Metro […] personnel are also very helpful). Mehr

I'm not a picky hotel guest. I need a clean, safe place to sleep and wash up in the morning, and all hotels that provide me with those things are satisfactory as far as I'm concerned. The only worry I had as far as cleanliness was the few droplets of blood I spotted on the bedsheet toward the foot of the bed. The stains looked faded and the sheets […] smelled bleached, so I just went with it. As far as more pleasant surprises, the shuttle service to Union Station was very convenient, and the shuttle driver and all the staff I dealt with were all rather helpful and pleasant. Considering the price of this room was about half of the next-cheapest option anywhere near my event in City Center, I'd say my expectations were met. Mehr

Normally I would choose a hotel closer to the city center or on a metro line in northern Virginia, but because there was a large convention in town, none of the normal options were available. For the price this hotel was okay, the staff were helpful and the shuttle service partially made up for lack of access to metro stations, restaurants, etc. My […] biggest complaints were the noise from New York Avenue and my smoky smelling, non-smoking room. We wanted something cheap and booked a room, but once we got in the room we found candy wrappers on the night stand, in full view and when we lifted up the comforter we found fresh, big stains of cheeto-powder. We were also awakened at 3.30 am by people drunk and yelling outside our room. We picked the hotel because it's close to downtown, but the area […] didn't look safe. Mehr

When I arrived at this hotel far from anything in Washington, I stood at the checkin desk for approximately three full minutes without any of the (up to) 5 staff people recognizing me. Actually, I had to ask, "Is this the checkin desk?" before anyone did. I had arrived at 2:45PM, and a young man said that they didn't have the nonsmoking king bed that […] I had ordered and would a smoking double bed be all right? I said No, it wouldn't be. Then he said "Well, we do have your room but checkin time is 3PM." I pointed out to him that the sign behind him said 2PM. "Oh, that's an old sign," he replied. I said that as of the previous week on their website checkin time was 2PM there, too. At that point he admitted that the room simply wasn't ready. I would have accepted that, but not the lying. [A staff person told me that he was the nephew of the owner, which no doubt is how he can hold the job.] When my wife tried to call me, she said that whoever answered the phone at the desk had picked it up while in the middle of a conversation he was continuing with people nearby for at least 15 seconds before finally answering. There were very few TV channels available. The outdoor pool had apparently simply been left to fend for itself for the winter, because it had a small amount of brackish water at the bottom. The soda machines (plural) didn't work. The bathroom sink drain plug didn't, either. This location appears to be near to nothing a tourist would want to see, but at least they do offer a regular free shuttle to Washington Union Station which gives a good starting point. This place obviously needs a management overhaul/replacement. I would not stay there again. Mehr

The excusses flowed like water, should have been set up in a king but was put in a double bed had to change rooms.

Net motel, op wel drukke lokatie (verkeer). Service snel en prima. Ruime gratis parkeergelegenheid. Prima prijs/kwaliteits verhouding. GEEN RESTAURANT (werd gerenoveerd) dus je moet (savonds) de buurt in.

Hotel muito mal localizado; não se consegue ônibus, metro e táxi. Fui a um congresso no Walter Convention Center e gastei um dinheirão de táxi. O hotel estava com o elevador quebrado. Subir com as malas foi pelas escadas foi terrível. Os atendentes da recepção faziam check in e trocavam as chaves todos os dias mesmo eu insistindo e mostrando o vaucher […] de reserva. Viram minha esposa subir para o quarto com sacolas e bolsas cheias e não avisaram que tinhamos que fazer novo check in e trocar as chaves (minha esposa não conseguia abrir a porta do quarto). PÉSSIMO HOTEL. PÉSSIMO ATENDIMENTO.NÃO RECOMENDO PARA NINGUÉM. Obrigado pela oportunidade de manifestar minha insatisfação. Mehr

L'hotel n'est pas super propre, la douche etait à moitié cassée, le wifi ne fonctionnait qu'a l'acceuil, et le plus grave, l'accès à l'hotel depuis le centre est très difficile. en effet, le métro le plus proche est a plus de 2 km, les bus sont très peu fonctionnels, et la "navette" de l'hotel n'est qu'un van de 15 places qui part de l'hotel toutes […] les 45 minutes entre 9h et 12h pour vous emmener a union station. Et pour rentrer à l'hotel il faut appéler l'accueil pour demander la navette (entre 16h et 21h) mais vous n'etes même pas sur de la trouver à la gare. Bref je conseil de payer plus chère mais de trouver un hotel dans le centre de washington car sinon votre séjour ne sera pas des meilleurs! Mehr

Idéal pour arrivée en auto par le nord. Stationnement gratuit(ne pas sous-estimer) et navette gratuite a la gare Union(10 mn.),ou il y a tous les services de tours de visite et le metro,un atout.. Al'hôtel même, buffet (ptit déj, déj. diner), sur place, ex.souper$11., pas cher a Washing. Hôtel pratique mais voisine stations services et McDonalds. Aux […] autre coins, Holiday Inn et Hyatt.En face, arboretum,espace vert.Avenue New-York peut être bruyante,circulation, motos surtout. Stayed for 2 nights only, all was clean, staff was friendly, did everything they were supposed to do. Taxi's don't like to come here though, so don't wait for them, even if you've called them, take the free hotel-shuttle to union station and go on from there.
