We loved the location and the price! Our only complaints were 1) that there was loud construction during the daytime when we arrived so we had to leave to escape the noise... then a train went by twice - once around 7 pm and one in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT (2 AM or so). It's right on the train tracks, so ask for a room further from the tracks if you […] want to sleep through the night! 2) There was a hot tub in the room but they're all out of service... Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. They made sure we had the adjoining rooms we requested. Best part was that we were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants in Great Barrington.

No hassles. Friendly staff; clean room and very affordable - especially considering usual hotel prices in the area. It's on the modern side as opposed to the older motels that tend to be lacking in cleanliness and modern amenities.

This hotel is located within easy walking distance to downtown Great Barrington. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. This is a nice basic place to stay in the area.

Railroad tracks right behind building--train came through about 10:30 pm. Comfortable king bed. Mold on shower curtain. Friendly staff. Complimentary USA Today and complimentary breakfast was good. Tiniest toilet I have ever seen.

I travel a lot for work and have stayed in many hotels. This hotel was more of a motel style with the doors to the rooms being outside and in front of the parking lot. This is fine with me but when I arrived to the hotel late, around 8:00pm on a very cold night ,I got to my room and the heat had not been turned on. Not very welcoming and it took a couple […] of hours to get to a comfortable temperature. I like to strip the bed of the comforter when I check into a room (I've watched too many 20/20 episodes with hotel rooms scrutinized under a black light) but I found that there was only a sheet underneath, and no extra blanket in the room, so I had to sleep with the comforter on. Two not so huge things, and the room was just clean enough that I was okay with it, so this was a passable stay for me. the owners try very hard to be accomodating and welcoming and i really appreciated the earth-friendly paper products at breakfast (rather than styrofoam which fills landfills). While this Days Inn is not a place where you'd want to spend a lot of time, its location is great for exploring the Berkshires. The property is an old, 2-story motel. My second floor room was dark and uninspired. Still, the room was sufficiently comfortable during a hot and humid August weekend.

Nothing special for the price. Furniture needs updating, it was chipped and worn. The room was clean however the smell of orange cleaner bowled you over when you opened the door. No microwave in room, located at office so you had to go there to heat anything. I requested a refrigerator for medications and that was almost a joke. The king bedroom we requested was on the far side of the hotel near the reailroad tracks. I guess it's OK if you need early wake up calls that are guaranteed to get you out of bed. The bed cover was useless, kept sliding off the bed. Nice comfortable bed, adequate living space, simple cereal breakfast, if you like that sort of thing, but a bit noisy with slamming doors...old building...very close to all the shops in Gt. Barrington. Would do it again.

Loved the proximity of the hotel to the town and to the college we were visiting. The same gentleman who manages and/or owns the hotel (not sure which) seemed to ALWAYS be at the desk, which was very reassuring. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, giving us tips about local places and how to get around the town. The hotel itself was […] not new but it appeared to be well kept. The outside area was very clean and there appeared to be an adequate amount of parking. Our room was on the small side and even though we prepaid for 2 queens, I'm pretty sure they were doubles instead. However, my traveling companion and I were okay with them. The beds were clean - I always look for bedbugs - and had several pillows. The room was small but I expected that considering the price we paid. The bathroom sink/vanity area was separate from the shower and toilet, which was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was not extensive but the coffee and juice was all I really needed. My number one requirement was price. The fact that it was clean, safe and reasonably quiet made it perfect for us. The only thing I would have changed is that I wish they had a newer TV in our room. It was an older model and not a flat screen, but it worked well. Again, for the price what we had was wonderful. We would definitely stay there again. The only negative thing I can say is not about the hotel itself. You have to drive or walk a few blocks to any restaurants. Mehr

We stayed there for two nights on a ski MLK weekend with two adults and two kids, in a dual queen beds room. There was a half-town electricity blackout, incl. the hotel, for several hours. After a short while, the manager passed by to distribute flashlights to those who wanted them (we took two). Also I had problem keeping the water in the tub for a […] hot bath after ski, so called the manager: he was there within 10 mins with a stopper. The breakfast was reasonable, well-stocked - nothing extraordinary but cereals toasts jam butter bagel danish tea/coffee/hot choc. Overall, it was a perfect budget hotel for four. If I had stayed longer (the full three day weekend) I probably would've liked a swimming pool or sauna though. Hotel is one of the cheaper ones in the area, good location right in town and has the distinction of being in front of the Peter Pan bus stop, so a plus if you don't have a car. Advertises free internet access but, as is often the case, it doesn't really work. Considering the amount of noise from next door and upstairs, the walls and ceiling seem to be made of cardboard. There is a railroad track close behind the hotel, luckily there are only a few trains a day. The rooms are tiny. The only good thing about this hotel was the proximity to downtown GB. The rooms were tiny and lacked basics like a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bathroom was grimy, and the walls had un-patched holes in them. The TV remote in my room had 2 band-aids instead of a batter cover. Classy. We were gone for a week and this Day's Inn had the most comfortable beds of any place we stayed. Yes it is an older motel, but the new decor and pillow top matresses were great...only small negative was the skimpy breakfast...just the minimum juice, coffee, and roll...no eggs or hot food.

The motel is right in the heart of the town, which is great. The room with two queensize beds was comfortable and clean. The breakfasr buffet was very nice with a good selection.
