Zimmer, Hotel und Poolanlage in sehr gepflegtem Zustand. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in diesem Hotel.

Wir hatten in diesem Hotel oder sagen wir lieber Motel zwei Zimmer. Es liegt direkt an der Autobahn. Beide Zimmer waren in einem unglaublich schlechten Zustand. Es gab kaum Licht und sie waren abgewohnt. Die Betten sind klein und durchgelegen. Was aber viel schlimmer war, Haare im Bett und das in beiden Zimmern. Auf dem Teppichboden mochte man nicht […] Barfuß laufen. Das Bad war dreckig und ohne Badeschuhe nicht zu benutzen. Zwei Zimmer haben jeweils einen Balkon. Sollten sie also nur ein Zimmer haben, kann ihr Nachbar bei ihnen hereinschauen. Der Pool war ungepflegt und das Wasser grün. Die bei der Buchung gezeigten Bilder entsprechen nicht dem jetzigen Zustand. Insgesamt können wir dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen, sei der Preis für die Übernachtung noch so gering ... Mehr

for a sunday check in got the worst room in the back of the hotel went to the pool it was very dirty could not go in the pool had one small shampoo bottle for two i will not recommend to anyone motel 6 is better

The lady at the front desk was rude. I was very disappointed with the room- stains on the floors and it smelled musty. The bathroom was not very clean and the baseboard was broken/dirty/moldy. Breakfast was mediocre at best. This is the first time I've been disappointed by a hotel I've booked through hotels.com The pictures make it look way nicer than […] it is. I stayed at the Days Inn in Buellton on a couple's weekend vacation to Solvang. The price was right and the location was perfect. The hotel isn't the fanciest, but it was clean, had a nice bathroom and a make your own waffle station for breakfast! For two young couples who wanted to have a nice weekend getaway without breaking the bank this hotel was […] perfect. I would stay again! Mehr

We wanted to see what Solvang was all about. This hotel was a really good price and not too far from the site. Nice place and bring lots of money to taste the pastries. You will enjoy the food...

The lady at the front desk said that we go the last room with a king size bed and it was one of the better rooms. when we got into the room it was run-down. wall socklet were broken and there was no up-keep done. If you want a cheap hotel this is fine but be warned.

I love the self serve Belgium waffles. It's the only thing I look forward to

Our room in Days Inn Buellton had a not so pleasant smell and there was a shirt hanging on the shower curtain rack that must have been left by the previous occupant which the housekeeping people did not see. VERY CONVIEIENT TO CHUMASH CASINO. GOOD BED AND QUIET EVEN BEING NEXT TO FREEWAY. WOULD DEFINITLY STAY THERE AGAIN.

The room was good for the price... It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful... MINUSES, the A.C. didnt work (although the weather wasnt too hot, so it wasnt a big deal). The parking lot could be cleaned up. It looked like it was abandoned... Also, the continental breakfast was CROWDED.... The location was perfect...

The employees (desk clerk and housekeepers) were very nice and helpful. They were available to help and to recommend in any way they could. Anytime i am in the area i would not mind staying there.

While the price was right, this hotel is starting to show its age. It was in need of maintenance (tiles in bathroom, exterior paint, etc.) Less expensive rooms are upstairs and to get a downstairs room we needed to pay a $10 upcharge. Breakfast was a bit below par. They were slow restocking juice, pastries, milk, etc. Room itself was just ok. TV […] reception adequate, not great. Mehr

Overpriced, dirty carpet, paper thin walls w/ noise a problem. Husband sat in chair and it broke. No one has vacuumed under the beds or tv stand in years.

Bathroom was really in need of fresh paint and new floor tile

- There are cracks on the Bathroom walls with Ants creeping through - The heater is antique - The location is not to be found on GPS - There is a big gas station besides, so practically not at all scenic location - No landscaping, no gardening - Breakfast is terrible - They charge a lot for what they provide, should charge 1/3rd

my wife and i whent to this hotal exspecting alot nicer.. but sadly we were disapointed in it...the only reason we stay is cause there was no refunds... our room was not made on sunday till after 4:30 ... way to late for a nap....not happy at all...

For the price, its not that bad. The bed was reasonably comforable and the balcony overlooking the pool was nice but I guess the only real not so good part is that its just a bit too close to the freeway. Overall, it was decent.

Great Accommodations for the price and very close to Buellton for great Danish pancaked. Many wineries are also very close. There were 1-2 ants that seemed to be roaming around in the bathroom, but nothing too bad. Great Sports bar attached with Pool Tables, Online Juke Box and Dark Board!

Needs update. Rugs were dirty

It's very close to Solvang and Albertson's! Especially if you have a car, it's a quick drive. There's complimentary breakfast, and the person that checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. She gave us a map and suggested places to go. Even though it was one star, it wasn't bad.

We had stayed at this hotel before and it was fine. This time there were ants in the bathroom and all over one of the beds and after calling the front desk NO ONE ever showed up to do anything about it. One of the head boards on the bed were broken and I hated the one cup at a time coffee maker. No conditioner for my hair was in the room and the towels […] were horrible and rough. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Mehr

VERY NICE AND CLEAN LARGE ROOM HARD TO FIND HOTEL COMING FROM THE NORTH

The hotel just needs to be updated and remodeled. It's old and it shows. Staff was friendly and the hotel was located in a convenient area.

A bit run down and not very friendly staff, but other than that it's fine. Make sure to have dinner at the restaurant called the Hitching Post if you stay here (10 min walk).

not things good in this hotel!

Stayed there a few years ago with my kids, this time with the boyfriend. Nice room, good size, warm and cozy. Mattress was way too soft for me. Loved the little sports bar in the complex. It was nice to stay near Solvang, but not it. Great online price.

this hotel was clean, comfortable and close to the sights that we wanted to see. The staff was courteous and the breakfast was great.

The pluses: - The hotel is in a convenient location - Our room was clean The minuses: - Broken furniture (part of the bed's headboard was broken off, and one of the two chairs was completely broken and collapsed when I sat in it) - Paper-thin walls - Both of our key cards ceased to work after the first night and had to be reset at the front desk (same […] thing happened to at least one other guest) - The maid still hadn't gotten to the rooms on our hallway at 4:30 PM, and she seemed frazzled (but apologetic) - Clear plastic bags full of trash lying beside the walkways out by the parking lot (do they not have a trash dumpster here?) - Various pieces of broken furniture and scrap material laying beside parts of the walkways Next time we visit this area, we will be staying elsewhere. For the price paid it was a decent room. Friendly staff. Did not see the breakfast served. The only issue I had was I found 2 lone ants in the room. Not a major issue but thought I would mention. Close to food and gas and only a few minutes from Solvang.

We were in Buellton as part of our "Sideways" wine tour, so we HAD to stay at the Windmill! We had read previous bad reviews, but thought we would try it out anyway simply because of the movie. We are so glad we did! When we got to the hotel, they were crazy busy. My husband was going to TRY to get the actual room the guys were in for the movie. We […] figured it would be a long shot, but wanted to try anyway. Sure enough, it was available! The lady at the desk told my husband there was a $10 upgrade fee, but she would waive it for us. Awesome! We got to the room and were pleasantly surprised! The room was super clean and just as it was in the movie. Pretty cool! Now if you are looking for the Four Seasons, this of course is not your place. But if you need an affordable place to stay in a beautiful area with clean rooms and good people, give them a try. The room we stayed in had ants in the bathroom & paint that was spilled in the bathtub. My wife was very disappointed in the maintenance of the properties considering the amount we paid for the room.

This is a motel that might have been great 30 years ago. The bar/club is a favorite of locals, but the rooms seem more like a convenience to them for when they can't drive home. The first room we were in had the odor of a deceased rodent that the manager could not smell. (Plenty of trees and opportunities for squirrels to visit...) The notoriety of […] the place from the film "Sideways" has probably given the it more business than it would have gotten on it's own. This is probably why they haven't bothered or afforded to renovate. It's a shame because it does have a convenient location to the freeway and local attractions. Mehr
