Very impressed by the front desk staff who patiently answered my questions about local attractions and rates. Great facility, nice rooms, very comfortable, but slight smokey smell. Nothing a bit of perfume couldn't handle...

Very pleasant hotel with a way-above-average breakfast.

I loved the hotel. Security was very good. The beds were comfortable and I've never stayed at a hotel where the pillows are both soft & firm. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Came out to visit Penn State. Nice hotel for the price. Clean, friendly, breakfast was ok but for free not going to complain. This will be the hotel we go to while our son is at Penn State

Very pleased with this hotel. Our room was clean, quiet and spacious. The breakfast was good, especially the cinnamon rolls.

reservation was short notice...therfore we could not get a non-smoking room..it was hard 2 sleep smelling smoke all the time....the carpet in the room was very dirty...we had on new whit socks walking on the the carpet in the room ...when we took them off they were so dirty.everything else was good ..breakfast was great. microwave and refrige. was great […] to have in our room. this hotel was better than expected - the breakfast was great and the room was clean. Nice hot tub outside on the deck too. I would stay here again.

Only one minor problem, one of the bed lamps did not operate.

Very nice hotel very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only issue was the remote control did not work very well and the tv reception was not good

My husband and travelled here for the area bike rail trails and it was conveniently located near everything we needed. Staff was kind enough to let us keep our bicycles (regular bicycles NOT motorcycles) in our room. The hotel is pet friendly and although there was a yapping dog on our floor, luckily it was only during our quick check ins during the […] day. It was peaceful and quiet at night. Personnel were very friendly and accommidating. Close to everything that we needed. Room was exceptionally clean and fresh. Would reccommend this Holiday Inn to anyone.

My daughter and I stayed here for one night. Check in was smooth. Room was very nice. Breakfast was also very nice. We were alble to have a late check out.

Hotel staff was friendly, serviceable and all spoke English! Very clean, accommodating, and reasonable. It's obvious that this hotel is "independently" owned; they excel in their customer service standards!

The Hotel is very clean, comfortable, and full of surprises. We arrived and our room was ready and it came with complimentary breakfast every morning. This was a pleasant surprise, by the way, it was not the regular continental breakfast, it had omelettes, pancakes, beagles, fruits and pastries. Also the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Very nice people and helpful. Goes above and beyond. Hotel is great. I was there on business but loved all the extras like the work out room, breakfast ect.

Bed was a bit stiff and hard or my liking. The TV remote buttons were hard to press and was difficult to use. Hotel was otherwise very nice and clean. There was a loveseat in my room which was nice.

I looked forward to using the jaccuzzi but it was outside, others might want to know that it is not inside especially those making reservations in cooler months.

All was in good order. A good hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Staff was helpful and pleasant. I would recommend it.

We arrived late, but were given the connecting rooms we had requested. Desk staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were good sized and pleasant. They looked fairly new, but the mattresses seemed pretty worn. My wife is sensitive about that and had to sleep in the middle where her mattress was less worn.

Very nice hotel. Large, very clean room with comfortable king bed and good pillows. Complimentary bottled H2O and popcorn. Nice, COLD workout room.

Hotel has recently been renovated. Very clean and comfortable.

A little pricey for the town of Altoona. But clean, good location, close to the college. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would stay there again.

Great hotel with a wonderful staff. I will always stay at this hotel when I have to stay for business purposes.

We had a nice room with a couch and desk, almost a mini suite. I thought it was a bit pricey considering the location and no pool. We had a non-smoking room but it smelled as if it had been a smoking room at one time. Breakfast was better than expected and it was convenient to get to Blair County Ballpark for a game.
