while the hotel it self is a bit dated the room was quite confortable, clean, no smell of smoking in room. The staircase from the first floor was a different story reeked of stale smoke. the pool was nice & open til 9pm or 10pm very nice for the price of the room.

The positive thing about this hotel/motel is that it was cheap and breakfast was included. Breakfast was ok, but simple. The good thing abut the rooms is that there were no bedbugs. Otherwise it was very dirty - I needed to clean the walls both in the bathroom and in the bedroom. If I could, I would also clean the carpets. We stayed there for two nights, […] and my daughter wanted to leave as soon as possible. Another good thing was the swimming pool. It was very small, but the kids liked to swim there. Cleanliness was ok. I would not recommend the hotel, but if you are looking for a cheap place and do not care about the cleanliness, it is probably ok. Mehr

As a frequent hotel patron, I look for a good deal, clean and comfortable rooms and any extras to get the most bang for my buck,-esp these days. This property is a great value in all categories. The cleaning person did not complete the job, the person did not replenish coff and it was an inconvenience. There was very loud music late in the evening.

This hotel was great. It was clean, neat, friendly staff, pool was nice for a late night dip. the gym was convient. Breakfast was good and eating room was big. overall great stay.

This motel has a sever case of bed bugs. Not only me but several other guests were at the service desk complaining if this at the same time. They gave my sons room to someone else and it took us nearly an hour to get them to give him a room. His room was prepaid and should have been there when he got there. I have stayed here on 5 occasions and always find it clean, quiet and friendly. But keep an eye on the hard boild eggs at breakfast - the breakfast lady rations them! :-)

Rooms are clean and hotel is fine but two meaningful issues exist: (i) the mattresses are soft--if you like that, you'll be pleased, but not so if you prefer a more firm mattress, and (ii) the shower curtain smelled of mold so the whole bathroom smells as a result. There's no excuse for that--any housekeeper in the world would notice the need for a […] change to eliminate the bad smell. Mehr

Have stayed several times and always found a clean room, good breakfast and ultra friendly staff. Connie at the front desk is wonderful.

The hotel put guest with small children on the second level-mistake. They should have been placed on the first floor. All three nights the children were running around until midnight . Still no room number direction signs when entering a side or rear entrance. I had to attend a funeral on check out day- asked if I could delay my check out until 3pm […] instead of noon. I just needed a place to change into comfortable driving(4 hour ride) clothes. The desk clerk said she needed to check with her manager Monday morning, I asked on Sunday and my check out was Monday. I told the clerk that was fine- I appreciated her willingness to inquiry concerning my request. I also offered to pay any additional cost if necessary. On my way to breakfast, I heard the clerk ask someone behind the desk if she saw her (the clerk's)note. I assumed she was talking to her manager about my request. The clerk never contacted me. I checked out through her and she never inquired whether if I still wanted the the check out extension. I cannot believe that she did not remember me- I know they have a lot of guest, but I thought it would have clicked when I went to check out. I did not say anything to her -because by then I already had everything packed in my car. Mehr

I have stayed at this location 3 times and its a great deal -nice clean and quiet-nothing extra fancy-but everything you need is there. Friendly helpful and pleasant staff and a good location for this part of NJ. Will stay here again on my next visit to the area. continental breakfast is good and saves time and money.

Filthy, run down and in bad need of renovation. Couldn't sit in the filthy chair or walk on the filthy carpet or sticky bathroom floor. I also changed the sheets myself as they were full of hair as were the blankets and quilt.

I my stay at the Bridgewater hotel at was very nice and clean the location was great and the staff was very nice I would stay at the Bridgewater again

You get what you're paying for, a simple modest hotel room at modest prices. Don't expect the Ritz. The room was clean. The doors between the rooms need more insulation or sound proofing. I could hear the conversation in the room next door as if the door was cracked open. If you're heading westbound on Rt 22, be sure to take the u-turn about 1/4 mile […] further down the road from the diner. The u-turn next to the diner is too close to the hotel entrance on the east-bound side lanes and with traffic moving at high speeds, you'll never make it across the lanes. I ended up having to drive two plus miles out of my way east-bound to loop around and make the approach again. Mehr

Room was clean (as clean as they can be with carpets,,,why can't American hotels be like elsewhere in the world and have tile floors!!!) and everything worked. Because I stayed there, I got a discount at Houlihan's next door so I didn't even have to go out for a meal. Place was quiet.

this hotel is very conveniently located with many places to go and much to do.great service and very good deal for your money.

This was a business trip for my wife and myself. We were very impressed with the motel and management. Very clean and comfortable. There is every kind of restaurant and speciality store you could want within just a couple of miles. (East on 22) So was a very convient location for us. We are hoping to do more work in this area and are happy to have found […] a great deal like this one. Also needed WiFi, it worked well. The pool area looked good with a large pool, to bad it was still cold here. I was nervous about cleanliness and smells after reading reviews about other nearby motels, there is no reason to be concerned with this one! Mehr

After much review the Days in Bridgewater is the best value in the area. We stayed here over the summer and again this week. Hotel was very accomidating and room was cleaned daily.

This is a very good hotel and would love to stay in future too. Hospitality is great and room accomodation is good. no complaints about room cleanliness. I arrived little early and they did not bothered about early checking. Simply they wished and gave the room keys. Locality and parking area is good.

Two suggestions for this hotel. 1.- Additional wash cloths-they had several bath and hand towels,but only 2 washcloths. 2.- At the top of the second level there are no room number directional signs

Exactly as it was advertised. next to the road, but quite, clean bathroom. Breakfast has healthy option. Thought non smoking wing might used to be "smoking", I was smelling cigarettes in corridor, but not in the room.

I have been in other Day Inns before, the bridgewater Day IN in NJ will remain ontop of my selection as far as hotel stay is concerned. My room was very good apart from the drainage in the bath tub. I trust that it has been worked on since I reported at the counter. Do you want somewhere to rest or do somework e.g writing, Bridgewater will give you […] the best experience. Go for it, you will never regret. Though the Day Inn is along Highway 22, you do hear any noise when you are in your room. I loved it and I look forward to go back soon. Mehr

Generally clean, but it's showing it's age. My room has a small couch in is that was pretty well stained. The carpeting was old, area near room corners worn but repeated vacumming, but there was a whitest grayest dust like look to it. Hallways also reflected old age of this hotel. Note quite sure if there was over all odor to the place, seemed worst […] in the hallways, room was OK. But at the price, this is was well within my expectations. Need a place to spend the night, and you're not picky this place was sufficient. Mehr

The hallways and fitness center had a very bad smell, almost unbearable. The room itself did not have any smell. Everything else was acceptable for the price, not great, but livable. The complimentary wireless was incredibly slow. The location was great, right on US-22, and the neighborhood seems safe. There is a bar/restaurant in the hotel, and a Houlihan's […] bar/restaurant right next door. I would not stay here again. Mehr

This hotel was an excellent value for the Hotels.com price. I would definitely stay there again.

For 3 nights all was well but the 4th night a birthday party in a banquet room spilled out into the hallways & it was so noisy that we had to leave the motel at 4am. We called the front desk 3 times & it was obvious that they couldn't control the situation. It was also obvious that they had no security or no backup plan in case customers were out of […] control. We were so concerned for our safety that we asked management to escort us out of the motel. Mehr
