gute Lage, Hotelparkplatz dringend notwendig, da keine anderen Parkmöglichkeiten (aber 20,- Kosten), Schwimmbad gut, Fitness ok, Zimmer könnten größer sein - aber noch ok, üblicher innerstädtischer Lärmpegel

Schöne, modern eingerichtete Zimmer - leider etwas klein/eng. Tolles Badezimmer mit geräumiger Dusche. Zentrale Lage nähe Yonge Street, 3 Minuten von U-Bahn Station College entfernt. Viele Restaurants und Shops in der Umgebung. Freundlicher Staff. Zimmer mit Blick auf den CN-Tower war grossartig.

This is the old Carlton hotel. I always used to like it, because it was a good location at a decent price. However, this hotel is getting really old and does not meet the old Holiday Inn standards. We were kept awake all night by young party animals yelling and screaming in the hallway just outside of our door. I felt like I was staying at a 1 star […] hotel. Mehr

Our overall stay at the the Holiday Inn by the Union Station was just disappointing. We had many issues with the hotel and our room. The elevators didn't always go to the correct floor, it was not a good sign when a guest that had been staying at the hotel longer wished us luck getting to our floor. The room itself was confusing to find as it was clearly […] originally a 2 bedroom suite that they made into 2 room with their own locked hallway. The room was very small, the bathroom door was a sliding inwards type that only opens to an average persons shoulder width and the bathroom walls were paper thin, you could listen to conversations in the next room word for word. It took 2 days for the thermostat to finally get up to a temperature that would start putting out heat. We ended up getting room service twice and had different results with the food both time ones of us order the mini slider burgers but second time it came with garnish and toppings for the burgers (sauces, lettuce, tomato and bean sprouts) the first time they came with a slight amount of sauce that the bun soaked up completely and no toppings, we also tried their cheese platter and one of the cheeses had gone bad. The room looked nice visually with the exception of the 2 hideous paintings they had hanging. This was a complete disappointment for a hotel to stay at for a birthday trip. 1/5 stars Mehr

Well received and treated by staff. Very professional. Location is close to subway and the Gay village.

This place was so awesomely located to great dining and a movie theater. the only problem i had was i am a tall person and the rooms were shoe box sized with enough room to move but just felt cramped. The staff was amazing tho checking in and out was easy.

card to open door in hall which led to room 2120 didn,t scan. had to wait 10 minutes each time for bellman to come. inconvenience. is there any coupons to convince me to come back?

Although the hotel was clean, the room was clean, it was way too small, it had two double beds, there were two adults and two kids and we couldn't move. We also had to pay $25 a day to park in the Holiday Inn parking lot. Would rather stay a few blocks away from down town, not pay for parking and have a bigger room!

small size rooms than normal but well kept

The size of the room is very small. the corridor are like a maze but that is infrastructure design. Fixing it to make the room more specious would likely decrease the numbers of total room by half. there is not to much we can do for that. The overall experience at arrival was great. the personnel behind the counter were very courteous and nicely dressed. […] I would go again because of the location and if i have to plan short stay like a night or two. Overall satisfied... And reasonable price..

Although the rooms are small, they are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The main foyer is very nice and the reception staff were very polite. Parking is convenient. The hotel is central to all downtown activities and the subway is very close. A great place to stay for an overnighter.

no hot water in shower

The room was clean and comfortable, although it was very small. We were on the 12th floor and it was a bit warm in our room (the thermostat indicated the heat wasn't on, but it was 77 degrees). Dinner in the hotel restaurant was good and the staff was attentive. The only real complaint was the water in the shower was lukewarm.

We got a wonderful price for our room, and were so pleased by the quality of the hotel and the room! Obviously there had been renovations done recently that were modern and chic. The room was very clean, lots of pillows, etc. The location is great, with lots of places within steps to pick up snacks, drinks, etc. Subway is just steps away, cabs were […] readily available, etc. My only issue with the room is that I was woken up through the night by the street noise outside. But I'm a light-sleeper, so that was not unexpected for me. Mehr

My expectations based on some of the earlier reviews were mixed. Same with it rating just 3 stars. Granted, ours was only an overnight stay for an early morning conference nearby, but this hotel would have been fine for a longer stay. Our 2 double bed room was small but not cramped, and included a small fridge. Bed comfort was fine, and no problem with […] hot water or shower pressure. Obviously this facility has been renovated recently, and it generally looks modern and upscale, particularly given the price point. Pool and changerooms were clean and well lit (no benches or lockers in changeroom though). The parking area, accessed off Wood Street behind the facility, might be a challenge for large vehicles. No problem in an average car. A largely positive experience, I'd stay here again without hesitation. Mehr

These are the smallest rooms cannot even get a suitcase pass the end of the bed.

They staff was very helpful. The hallways were tight but clean to say the least. You can everything has been updated its quitee contemporary. The only thing was the parking. Very small garage and I had to drive around the block 3 times to find it which took 15 mins each time due to one way roads and traffic. All in all I'd recommended it and stay there […] again myself. This hotel is central to a lot of what downtown Toronto has to offer. I did not get the king size bed I reserved but that was not a major issue. The elevator was shut down for testing which was ok but the notices about the timing for the shutdown were not correct so we had to adjust our schedule. I have stayed here before and did not have any issues […] so I will call this a blip and stay here again. The receptionist was extremely polite and helpful with our parking. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. Mehr

This hotel suited our needs. We have stayed in all sorts of hotels in this city and other major cities and we were very happy with it. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, which is nice. Sometimes staff can make you feel like you're imposing on them but not at this hotel. The room was very clean and there was plenty of hot water. Location is perfect. Loblaw's grocery store on one side. Movie theatres and 24 hour drug store on the other. 24 hour restaurant across the street.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night only and found it to be clean and comfortable. The hotel staff at the front desk were very helpful and courteous. We would stay there at any time in the future if or when we return to Toronto. My only comment would be that I don't believe they have medical rates for people going there for medical reasons […] and that would be nice. We were within walking distance to the hospital we went to so that was convenient but I think medical rates should be available from all hotels in Toronto. The person I dealt with (Melissa) when I booked the room was extremely pleasant as well. Mehr

very new and clean hotel. Amazing value for location. The staff were also very nice considering I had stayed on new years eve night which made it very busy. Overall, great stay and great value.

booked a room at this hotel for new years 2012. It looked very nice on the website and was affordable for dowtown Toronto. The Hotel was in a great location, close to many places to eat and attractions. The rooms were nice but very small and a little bit crowded. the pool was nice and the workout room decent. When we first arrived at the hotel we were […] dissapointed to see a huge line to check in to our room. we waited for two hours just to get to the front desk. It was a very slow process the line was slow moving the whole time. Late check out was available for a charge. wrist bands were given to people so that they could not have guests up to the room. The room was really hot too, and couldn't turn the cold air on, but was able to open window to help. The elevators are slow and get very full. Overall we did enjoy our stay here and would stay again. The hotel is very nice however our room on the 22flroor was very hot and dry and neither my wife or 2yr old son could sleep, which made for a very long day the following day.

Clean hotel

I like this place. It is clean and very comfortable. If I had to say one thing its that the room is smaller than what I'm used to but you can only take up so much space anyways, so no biggie.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I've stayed here a few times this year and will continue to book it when I need to be in TO.

Nice hotel that's close to the subway station. Staff was friendly. Gave us a room where the heater didn't work.. Sent somebody up in 20 minutes and he fixed it right away. Close to a winners, mcdonalds, loblaws and the bank. Room was crammed but clean and organized. Enjoyed my stay.

Great location, great service... only complaint is that they make you pay $100 deposit per night upon check-in (they don't advertise this). That's the highest I've paid for a deposit. *One good thing was that a movie Cinema is located next door.

Stayed there one night this time. Room was a little small but very comfortable. I like the noveau decor of the room and hotel. 10 min walk to Eaton's Centre. Many great restaurants all around the hotel. Staff was friendly. Only thing was we found the elevators a little slow.

Although the Hotel offered in and out parking privileges, we left the car in the garage and used the subway system which is a minute or two.away from the front door.. An excellent breakfast can be had across the street at Cora's at a better price than the Hotel. There are other hotels closer to the main attractions, but this hotel offered better value […] and the main atractions are only a few subway stops away., We attended the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Ballet at the wonderful Opera House. Also ate in Yorkville. All locations were within 15 minutes of leaving the hotel. Mehr

The trash cans in the room were full when we checked in, otherwise the room was clean. The rooms are on the small side.

When I made my reservation, I asked if parking was included and I was told yes. When I went to check out, they charged me $25.00. If I had know that I would have parked at the public parking beside the hotel as it would likely had been cheaper. I also wanted to pay cash for the room and they told me that Hotel.com was paying for my room............what […] a laugh, who do they think was going to pay Hotel.com. The parking garage was a very scary place to get around in and you had to be so carefull not to hit another car. Mehr
