FROM THE FRONT DESK TO THE MAID SERVICE WAS IMPECCABLE! THE STAFF IN THE RESTAURANT / BAR AREA WERE VERY WELCOMING AND RESPECTFUL! GREAT STAFF AND LOCATION, KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB!!

Not bad for a Courtyard, not the nicest, but not bad.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was stocked with all the essential goodies. Restaurant/diner/bar onsite was a plus since I was pulling a small trailer and didn't want to drive it around an unfamiliar town. Plenty of parking. This was my first hotel stay in a string of 3 and this was by far the best experience.

The hotel was just redone and was in good condition. The indoor pool and spa was nice and the lobby was visually appealing. The location has a large number of resturaunts and is close to several nice malls. Overall, we were very happy. It was a basic stay with a very reasonable price.

This is a rundown motel , for a cost of high end hotel..stay away..

Nice area, close to downtown, free parking, nice pool and excellent customer service.

Love this hotel. Clean, nice, great staff and location.

I stayed overnight while visiting my daughter at school in West St. Louis. It was so convenient to get around from here, and the beds were very comfortable. The fitness room looked great, I wished I'd had time to try it! I'll definitely stay here again.

The Courtyard by Marriott was a Wonderful Surprise. The hotel employees were Very Nice and Helpful. The room was very Spacious and CLEAN. The bed was Absolutely Wonderful!!! As for the price, we were happy to see that it was very affordable even though it was the weekend. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone.

The lady at the "bistro" who was working the night I came in was awesome. She rocks.

They are very accommodating, they extended check out time for us.

This hotel was $50 per night cheaper than similar quality hotels only a little closer into town. The lobby renovation created a very "livable" space for the guests. We have stayed on several occasions over the last few years and will stay again on future trips to STL.

very nice stay

This is a beautiful hotel and very clean. The only reason I gave them a 2 on the surrounding neighborhood was something they could not control. We checked in after a Cardinal game and were very pleased with the beautiful room. But after getting into bed we kept hearing a beeping noise, looked outside and across the way were 3 backhoes working. IT WAS […] MIDNIGHT. Everytime they backed up, they beeped, keeping us awake. "Doesn't St. Louis have a noise ordinence?" But we called the desk and they graciously moved us. All in all a good stay, once we were settled. Mehr

Everything was fine from check in to check out. I only have two small complaints. First: the toilet is the lowest I've every experienced. I cannot say if.this problem is hotel wide or not. Next: there is a firehouse nearby. There is an alert siren for traffic before the truck comes out. I only heard it three times in three days during the 4th of July. […] It's not horribly loud but it is there. Again, this is not enough to sway me away from staying there again or recommending the hotel. The menu choices seemed to be priced fair, but I felt there could have been a larger selection. I think they sorely need an actual resruarant attached to The hotel. But full service resturaunts can be found within a block or two away. I look forward to my next stay here later this year! Mehr

Overall I liked the hotel. However, the person at the front desk was extremely unpersonable! Plus she misinformed me of things I found out to be untrue the next day. (Since I asked questions the next day. I was too tired to pursue the night of arrival.)Unfriendliness with the first person the customer sees is unacceptable.

A good choice for basic comfort. The walls are a bit thin so noisy neighbors were a factor for us. Also a pet peeve: if a pot is used for coffee, do not also use it for hot water. My tea was undrinkable at morning breakfast.

Overall it was a comfortable hotel with nice amenities. They were remodeling the dining area, so there was no where to sit down, but they did provide a nice continental breakfast for no charge because of the inconvenience. The only real complaint I have was the elevator was clear on the other side of the hotel from the lobby and moved VERY slow for […] only having three levels. The hallways are also very long so you may end up checking in, walking all the way to the elevator then waking all the way back to the other side of the hotel to get to your room. Again, overall this was a nice, comfortable place to stay. They had a nice outside courtyard and an indoor pool and the hotel staff was very friendly. Mehr

I was supposed to be staying at the Hilton Frontenac instead while visitiing St. Louis for a wedding, but by the time I decided I could make the trip, that hotel was fully booked. Courtyard Marriott was my backup - cost was a lot less, huge flat screen tv's, and a very comfortable King bed, with incredible linens and perfect down pillows. I started […] out with a ground floor room - actually one floor below the main Lobby - and hated the location because it had no balcony and the glass sliders to the ground outside only opened partially for security purposes, so you couldn't get outside. The hotel very willingly allowed me to move to the top - 3rd floor - where I had a great accessible balcony, and a wonderful view of the area. Free continental breakfast was the weakest link of my stay. A new hotel restaurant area was under renovations, so that problem should be solved soon. There were still tons of people who seemed to be enjoying the free pastries, cereal, oatmeal, and coffee, thougn, but I wanted more than that. Fortunately, there was a First Watch restaurant two minutes away by car, and breakfasts there are hard to beat. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay, and all of my family concluded that if we ever return to that area, the Hilton's out and the Courtyard's in! Mehr

We so enjoyed our hotel stay here. Great location, excellent staff, and felt we were in a staff and secure area. We needed to be at Barnes West hospital and so everything we could have asked for was available to us New construction was not quite finished but we were made very comfortable. I stayed at this hotel for my wedding weekend. I absolutely loved it!! Everyone was so nice and it was was a beautiful hotel. I would recommend this to anyone. I love the fact it was located everywhere I needed to go to that weekend as well.

I would cautiously recommend the hotel. The rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. I say cautiously because the hotel was undergoing renovation and this was not made clear when we booked the room. There are strong paint smells and the parking is somehwat limited because of construction vehicles. Because of the construction […] they were offering a free breakfast but there was no where to sit or have any tables. They were frequently running out of food and it was a madhouse to try and get food. We ended up grabbing food and going back to our room because of the disorganization. The other draw back was the TV. They have put new flat panel TV's in the room which is nice but they have a problem with providing sufficient signal strength to run the TV's. There was heavy artifacting of the pictures and delay of sound a second or two behind the picture. When asked to fix it the hotel admitted that they could not. So defiantly do not stay here if TV is important to your stay. Mehr

First of all I do not think that the sheets on the bed were fresh. Second, after I came back to the hotel late, I had to park on the opposite end of the hotel complex from my room in lieu of the construction (wooden pallets, paint buckets blocking available parking spaces, etc) I found everything else about the hotel satisfactory considering ongoing […] construction. The gentleman was very polite and helpful at check-in. He told me that the lobby renovations would be done in about 2 weeks - I stayed on a Saturday night and didn't hear any noise from it at all. The beds were very comfortable.One of the few places I have stayed that I didn't wake up all stiff and achy with my fiboimyalgia and arthritis. Parking was grear and close to our room. Breakfast was very good each day with a variety of good things.They were working on some remodel of the fron entrance but had a very convenient way for us to enter and […] check in and we never heard any noise of the construction.It did not interfere with out stay in any way. I found this to be a nice hotel at a very fair rate. We stopped here overnight on our way to Chicago, and everything was up to par. We had breakfast at First Watch just down the road, which was very good too.

Hotel lobby is under construction but does not affect the rest of the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. Employees were very friendly and helpful.

I was very please with my stay at this facility. We frequent the area often and plan on switching from our normal hotel to the this Courtyard.

We have stayed here several times now (visiting daughter at WashU) and each time the room has been clean and comfortable and service fine. It's a little drive to WU, but worth the difference in price.

Entrance was under construction but it was not really a problem because a clearly-marked alternate entrance was provided. Just a very nice basic motel. Rooms attractive and comfortable. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby; a nice area. FREE PARKING on the premises which makes it a better deal than many downtown hotels.

Hotel was under construction, they offered a complimentary breakfast, of which I thought was very nice of them. Everything at the hotel was fine, only complaint a few more towels in the pool area.

There are much better hotels for visiting St. Louis at a much lower cost. The beds were comfortable and had most ammenities (except no fridge in the room). Price was too high for type of hotel and breakfast was not even included. Hotel staff was very nice and friendly, but think the hotel needs to re-evaluate it's pricing scheme as the hotel was pretty […] empty during our stay. Mehr

Hotel was OK. Breakfast buffet at $14.95 was too steep. Only one central computer for internet access.

Room was great and clean. No complaints about the room. Not sure if it's just a Courtyard thing, but the only drawback was on continental breakfast. They did have a buffet, but it was $11! I checked it out, and that was a little pricey for scambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and a waffle machine. Good news is there are plenty of other places around to eat […] breakfest at a more reasonable price. Mehr

The room wasn't completely clean when we arrived. Someone had used a cup and left it sitting on the counter & they left their used condiments in the coffee area. I called the front desk to let them know, about a half an hour later someone came up with new cups, condiments & coffee, they did offer to move us to a different room but we declined. (I checked […] the toilet, shower and bed and everything seemed fine. The bed wasn't awfully comfortable, but I guess it could have been worse. We were in town for a concert at the Scottrade arena. The location wasn't within walking distance but everything close was booked up. The arena was a short drive (traffic was crazy) having a GPS was definitely helpful and the arena had parking ($15). The surrounding area was nice, there was a Starbucks, Einstein Brothers & Trader Joes fairly close. Mehr

This hotel was nice, but the front desk/reservation policy was TERRIBLE. when we first checked in, we asked if we could extend our stay one extra night. The person at the front desk said I would need to "work that out with Expedia" if I had to go back online and schedule another night through hotels.com (NOT Expedia specifically) I would have looked […] for a room in a more convenient location, I only wanted to stay in this one because all of our stuff would be there, etc. I tried again the next day and the person at the front desk DID give me the option of extending our stay one night. We went to the front desk and she said "ok, I put you back in for another night" and I asked specifically "so then we'll just pay for the extra night when we check out?" and she said YES. (the rest of the stay had been paid for in advance) SO, while we were out and about that day they de-activated our room keys! Imagine coming back to your hotel after a LONG day of walking around site seeing to finally get to your room and have your keys not work. So we went BACK down to the front desk to find out why and they said it was because we hadn't paid for the extra night! It was extremely frustrating because i had SPECIFICALLY asked if we would just pay at check out... If you choose this hotel take care of the entire reservation through "expedia" before you go and steer clear of the front desk as much as possible. Mehr

Excellent customer service, and very accomodating. Our group was traveling with three children under the age of three, and the staff could not have been more helpful in meeting our needs.

We were very happy with the cleanliness of the hotel inside and out. The pool area was great for our kids and never overly crowded. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was the best we have ever had at any other hotel we have stayed at. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area and will definitely return with my family.
