Comfort Inn Plant City - Plant City

i paid for a suite , i was giving a room with two beds, so i requested a suite and i was giving a room that was not a suite. i was told there was all that was left. but i arrived a 3pm. so i was not happy because i did not get what i paid for.

Hotel was booked and the banging doors kept us uplate and woke us up early. They don't very quietly and our tub was dripping quite a bit!

the location was great, right off of I-4. Breakfast was lacking, out of most everything both days that we were there. They did try to restock when we asked, but it still was lacking. Rooms were old, but clean,. No toiletries were left for us the second day, no soap and no shampoo at all.

The only complaint I have is that the carpet inside and outside the room had a smell and it looked as if the carpets are not vacuumed enough.

We arrived at the hotel with a ver inexperienced clerk behind the counter was having a argument with a customer trying to check in. We had a friedn with us who had a room of her own. It had cock roaches in it. she left the light on all night. Carpets on thehalls were very stgained and diorty and smelled. Not so great. The whole place needs a renovation. The hotel kind of smelled like smoke and wet dog. It is pet friendly and we were appreciative of that because we had our dog with us, but the smell was a little much. Also, although the room was comfortable it was dirty. Not obviously dirty but the telephone was filthy and appeared to have not been wiped down in quite some time. The bathroom floor had hair and dirt on it,carpet felt slimey and there where cheetos under desk and we did not eat cheetos. Burn holes in comforter and the elevator was very scary!

Location is great, easy to get in and out of. Staff friendly. Contiential Breakfast not the best, but served the purpose. Elevator has a oder of smoke. Walking in the hallways on the 3rd floor smells like cigrette smoke and carpets are very stained. Could use some heavy cleaning and disinfecting. That was a huge turn off. Pricing was fair. At this time […] I would not recommend anyone to stay there simply because of the oder through the hotel. If you are a smoker you probably would not mind it. thank you. Mehr

Pretty run down location.

Didn't realize there was a leak coming from the ceiling in the bathroom until waking up--the entire bathroom floor had a layer of water on in as a result of the leak. Had to use towels to soak it up, leaving no towels for shower usage. No shampoo provided. Breakfast buffet was totally unmanned. Trash cans were overflowing. Tables were filthy. No food […] was available either. Had to go to front desk to ask for forks and more food to be put out. Spoke to management about bad experience in room, with breakfast, and noisy children slamming doors (actually had to have security come and talk to them--kept going on until midnight). Only offered an apology. Told there was a youth ball team staying there and they ate all the food and caused all the noise. Wanted more than excuses! Hotel was not well maintained. The elevator had some chemical smell in it that caused eyes to burn and sting. Carpet in the hallways had all kinds of stains. The walls in the room had what looked like dried blood in over a dozen spots on it. Not a pleasant experience at all! Mehr

I have stayed here several times before and have never had anything bad to say, but this time I have to write this in hopes the manager or corporote will read this. The hotel seems to be falling apart. I am not sure if they are having water damage issues, but the hotel smells like mold. Carpet was pulled up in the hall way to air it out. New stains […] in the carpet down the hall ways on all the floors ( like from water damage), that I haven't seen in the past, and I have stayed here at least 5 times this year so far. My son plays travel baseball and this is the recommended hotel to stay at, and I don't know if i will stay here again. The rooms were moldy smelling, all the hallways were too. Besides the waffles, the breakfast is not much to speak of. Tv came in choppy mouths moved before words came out. Internet was spotty.... All the things we are all used to having just weren't there. Pool was dirty, no pool towels out. My light in my room did nothing but flicker...I hope someone reads this and adresses these concerns, because they will soon be losing a lot of business. the hotel was the perfect location and choice of Popeye's hardee's and dennys to eat at all right there in the parking lot in front of hotel. easy to get to bush gardens and dinosaur world. dinosaur world was okay would be better if they had animotronic displays. But if you like looking at native plants and having the felling of being in a foreset great […] place. my husband is big into plants and took tons of pictures. only complaint we had was with the pillows. the pillows were to small and soft to the point of being flat when you rested your head on them. we ended up going to a wal-mart and buying 2 pillows after the first night of not being able to get comfortable to get a good nights sleep. so recommend bring own pillows. This was my first visit to this Comfort Inn and I would definitly stay again. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing not very pleasant was the continental breakfast. The room was too small for the number of visitors and they didn't keep up with replenishing the food. There was no orange or apple juice the first morning the machine dispensed […] water only. They only had 2 luggage carts and they were not always available. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Mehr

The staff members at the hotel were all very polite. We had to change rooms because the TV was not working and was told they couldn't just move the TV from room "b" to room "a" (which would have been easier on us). The water from the bathtub spigot came out with black specks initially, but cleared up. The fan in the second room didn't work, but after […] informing the front desk staff, it was fixed. However, the mess from fixing the fan was left on the bathroom floor, on and in the toilet, on the sink (and our belongings), and the mirror (all of which we cleaned up). The wireless internet was not working (was told it was recently fixed - we were offered an ethernet cable to use in the room); the side door of the hotel we were told to enter through was not working (was told they weren't sure why it sometimes didn't work thus causing us to have to carry our luggage back around to the front of the lobby to enter). The bedroom itself was clean; the beds were comfortable; there was a microwave and small refrigerator available for use; and the breakfast was good. The staff did their best to correct the problems we encountered which we appreciated. Mehr

Main reason we stayed at this place was for their wireless access. We were there for a wedding and i had projects for my graduate school. We stayed there for four nights and they did not fix their internet. We complained numerous times and all we got was they were working on it. They even tried moving us into a room to what they said a room that had […] good internet signal. However, once we went in the room i could not access the internet. They knew my laptop was working fine because i was able to access the internet while i was in their lobby. Oh yeah, i had to worked for few hours in their lobby and it was 62 degree in there. It was freezing my i had to do it. My husband and i both work in the IT field and we tried to explain their problem of course they didn't understand. Mehr

THE HOTEL WAS QUITE CLEAN, COMFORTABLE BEDS AND I LOVED THE MICROWAVE AND FRIDGE IN THE ROOM. THE HOTEL WAS EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO RESTAURANTS. I LOVED THE 24 HOUR COFFEE SERVICE IN THE LOBBY. IT WAS RIGHT OFF THE INTERSTATE AND HAD PLENTY OF PARKING. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN.

Yery clean and spacious room with comfortable beds and easy access from the room to the lobby and continental breakfast area. Very nice front desk staff, too.
