Clarion Grand Boutique Hotel - New Orleans

Quality of the maid service was not up to par. Did not change glasses for 2 days after use. Did not replace waffle maker when someone made a mess. Did not have enough coffee or condiments for the coffee. Staff was very nice and friendly and location was great.

The location is excellent because the street car line take you to Canal and Bourbon in about 15 minutes. Getting ti the French Quarter is no problem. Being in the Garden District has its advantages, as the noise level is lower and there are plenty of sights to see and good places to eat near by as well as in the hotel. The staff was friendly, polite and very helpful.

The location was great, close to our venue. The hotel room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly, just a little confused about the entrance since it is located above the Cheesecake Bistro. I would definitely come back and recommend to family and friends.

we live in the area but like to get away every now and then. We've stayed all over the city. This hotel was just okay. Nothing was terrible other than a couple fighting in the hall for over an hour at 2 in the morning but there was a build up of dust on the basin of the toilet and the pillows were abnormally small. Our first visit to New Orleans and we loved the hotel. It was within walking distance of the French Quarter and part of the historic section and downtown. The restaurant on the first floor was excellent. Staying here helped made our first trip to New Orleans a pleasant experience.

The hotel only has one small sign on the side of the Cheesecake Bistro. Don't waste your time looking for the entrance. Just pull in to the restaurant and they will show you where the lobby is.

Our rooms (2) were at the end of the third floor where the ice machine and soft drink dispenser are located. These machines make so much noise, and apparentely run all the time, that my daughter insisted that her room be changed to one further from the end of the corrider. My room was one further away and I thought I could tolerate the noise. It was […] so awful that I unplugged the ice machine each night when I went to bed. I would have also unplugged the soft drink machine but it was too difficult to reach. The hotel staff responded immediately to my daughter's request to move her room but showed no concern about the basic problem. Also, the hotel is difficult to find. We drove around the block several times before locating it. There are restrictions on signage in the area but the directions received with our reservation confirmation were not adequate. I was also shocked about the policy of Hotels.com to charge me for the room when I made the reservation, several months prior to the stay. I will avoid using your service in the future if that is a standard policy. Mehr

Great stay and live the Copelands underneath!

The staff were very friendly. I called ahead and they allowed us to check in early (we had to be at a wedding rehearshal early in the day.) They also moved our 3 rooms to be closer together when we requested. The location is good and a street car stop is right in front of the hotel. It only takes about 5 minutes to ride it down to the French Quarter. The […] "free breakfast" downstairs is just a few pastries and such, but the Cheescake Bistro restaurant located directly below the hotel is FABULOUS and reasonably priced. They will deliver to the rooms for 18% room service gratuity charge. The down side to this hotel: It is a little older and not quite as nice as say, the Hilton or Mariott. I could see a lot of stains on the carpet in the room which made me keep my shoes the whole time because it felt dirty. They need to replace it. Also, a double bed room has 2 full beds, not queens.. so they are a little small and the mattresses were not extremely comfortable. Overall: I give it 3 1/2 to 4 stars. Mehr

WE HAVE STAYED IN SEVERAL MOTELS IN OUR VISITS TO NEW ORLEANS AND THIS WAS THE BEST WE HAVE FOUND. IT WAS CLEAN, QUIET AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD FELT SAFE. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND THE PERSONNEL WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN.

I had never been to the city before and stayed here when I came into town for a job interview. The staff was absolutely wonderful. From suggesting places to eat to making sure I didn't get lost while I ventured out, they were courteous, and helpful. The location of this hotel, could not be better. Located right on the streetcar, I could get to anywhere. […] It was also a short cab ride from the airport and to anywhere else I needed to go. The hotel was clean and my room was spacious. I really enjoyed my stay here and recommend it to anyone who wants an affordable place in a great location. Mehr

The hotel was very nice and clean better than what I expected. The whole experience was wonderful. I take my hat off to the valet parking they were awesome. I would choose this hotel again.

I have to say, the best part of the whole hotel experience was the valet service. The three gentlemen running cars were extremely polite and helpful. At eighteen dollars a night for parking, I was hoping for some above and beyond service and I was definitely satisfied. The neighborhood on St. Charles is cozy with some nice restaurants and calm streets. […] The hotel's location is just minutes from the Zoo, French Quarter, and Super Dome. Hotel room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. The most striking thing about the hotel was the friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is small but very nice. The front desk personnel was very helpful concerning the trolley and restaurants. The room has a musty smell but did dissipate when the A/C was turned on.

The bathroom was clean. The room was neat and tidy. Excellent location. Valet was professional. The Cheesecake Factory located at the bottom of the hotel has great food. I will never stay at a different hotel ever again in New Orleans!!!!

I travel to New Orleans quite often and I have to say that this is one of the best stays I have experienced with the city's hotels. The staff was gracious and courteous, the room was clean and spacious, and the location was within walking distance of great restaurants and shops. I will definitely select this hotel on my next stay.

Nice room and very roomy for two people. I thought it had a workout facility - but it doesn't says you can work out at the gym down the street but club fees apply. We walked the Superdome from here. Alot of eating places along this street so didn't even have to drive anywhere. Excellent restaurant located right in the hotel.

My husband and I have stayed here before - pre Katrina - all rooms have been completely re-done (due to Katrina). It was nice before, now it is very nice. Will stay there again.
